Best sushi I have ever had

Lots of sushi variety to satisfy your healthy rice appetite. Very convenient fast food.

Charged me $3.80 for a 250ml can of coke - wow!

Chef repeatedly spitting in bin in open kitchen while preparing food. Multiple times in the 5 minutes I was there. Loudly. Not cool. Unsafe. 1 star.

Every time when I walked into the shop, the presentation of the sushi bento boxes really catch my eyes! Their grilled nigiri was yum!

Wanted a light breaky, sushi was the go. Standard sushi selection but with a generous helping of fish.

My favourite food in rush sushi is curry

Reliable place for a quick lunch. Always get some sushi rolls or a miso soup here.

Today I got the chilli raw tuna and the California roll. The chilli raw tuna was great with the wasabi and California roll was great with the soy sauce. Not too filling though lol

For the third time now I've ordered the 'fresh' tuna roll and it has had a strong fishy smell and taste indicating the tuna is anything but fresh. The meat is also sinewy and chewy meaning they're using the cheapest cuts they can get. I'm done with this place.

Ordered a couple of sushis for lunch, the service was friendly and efficient. The sushi themselves were ok. I found the filling to rice ratio a bit skewed which made it a bland imo.

Fairly cheap, quick lunch option. The service was quick to order and there was a variety of sushi to choose from. Would recommend for a quick and cheap lunch

I find this place slightly better than the other Japanese place in this food court. It has more options for sushi packs and bento packs. While the crispy chicken looks nice, it was cold and not really crispy as it was pre-packed. I'll probably stick to the sushi packs next time.

Mizpiggy has this place absolutely nailed in her review. It's your stock standard Japanese in the food court model and by no means cheapish. It's production line with a price. My sushi and sashimi were fine but by no means top draw. They'll never figure on my list of memorable Japanese style meals. The server here was snappy as well. Sharpish words and no pleases or thank you's. That's two curt ones in one day. I let it go again because I figure its been brought on by the server having unresolved issues with something or other that'll never be made known. Too much to unpack.

For those who have Japanese cravings and work nearby and don't want to walk too far, Rush sushi is your stock standard food court Japanese. I feel it is slightly on the pricier side given what you get for sushi rolls, and the stock standard Japanese but probably not for where it is in the cbd. What I meant is that there is def cheaper in inner cbd near Chinatown etc. Worthwhile thing to order hence rating of the 3.0 is their freshly made bento boxes. I had the salmon belly which at $11 was not bad value. This comes with a miso soup and their serving size for this is huge. Now word of warning, they only do this from the hours of 12-2pm and to be honest up to the chefs discretion as I've had times where I've gone in during those times and try to order and they've said it's no available. It also comes in a super cute bento box that reminds me of the bento boxes in Japan so that scores brownie points with me.

I used to work nearby and got to know the couple who started this business. They had really fresh and affordable sushi rolls. More than 6 years later I came back to find the business is now under the O-bento group. The salmon rolls looked all right, but the tamago (egg) in the rolls looked dry and definitely overcooked. None of the rolls had fillings through to the other end (and they should be). For the original price of $2.70 per roll I would prefer to go elsewhere, but they were selling 3 for $5 and that is an easy compromise when you are low on budget, so I am giving it a rating of 3.

Rush Sushi is the easiest place to get to from the office for me – honestly not much to say about it.

The sushi is okay though $2.60 for a cooked tuna roll is more than I’ve paid anywhere else I think. Line moves quick as you’d expect.

Just another sushi stand from my perspective.

The crispy chicken bento box is excellent, a work lunch staple for me. Sushi rolls really nice too - particularly the avocado and tempura prawn.

My staple sushi roll place; very good.
