A serviceable place for banh mi in the CBD at great value.
Good cheap eat in the CBD and decent taste. I had the Vietnamese pork roll for the authentic banh mi experience.
Banh mis are priced at around $9.
They also do various types of banh mis with several non traditional toppings; like normal rolls with a banh mi base.

They put a complimentary tomato sauce on your sausage roll, you dont get that back in New Zealand đź‘Ť

GREAT BANH MI SERVED WITH A SMILE
This Kenny's outlet is in the legal preceint in Melbourne's CBD. It is a good option if you are after a quick takeaway lunch.
Banh Mi is pretty good - fresh ingredients and a range of meat and vegetarian options. Also serves a good cup of coffee to go as well as meat and salad in a bowl (kind of Vietnamese version of Poke bowl).
Friendly staff and efficient service.
People with mobility issues will be fine as it is on one flat level with no steps or entry doors to negotiate.

Very popular with the city crowd. I love the chicken schnitzel roll with lettuce and Mayo.

The roast or whatever smells so strongly it fills Collins St and makes me gag. Contain your stink! Get some exhaust fans.

Love going to Kennys Bakery. Great service (always greet me by saying my name which makes it extra special and they remember my coffee order), very decent prices, and the coffee is spot on. The food is also highly recommend, I suggest trying the bacon and egg roll or Vietnamese pork roll.

I have been a fan of Kenny's from their early days ( when they were opposite to where they are now). Their chicken salad roll is always our goto. Always so fresh.
I haven't been back in over 2 years as I live interstate but I went there towards the end of last year and grabbed myself a chicken salad roll. Still the same.

Very rude staff, eventhough they made mistake by taking wrong orders and they will show you attitude with their expression and throwing the food away, banging the kitchen tools. The rolls were very dry and hard, not consistent. The coffee is a big failure. Will never ever step into this store.

I always come here for their Vietnamese pork roll which is delicious - crispy French roll, pate, different types of ham, pickles, coriander and chilli, what is there not to love? This week I tried the crispy pork belly roll which is new on the menu. I was not disappointed!

2.5/5
Well I was about to walk past and it literally started pouring with rain and not carrying an umbrella this was the first lot of shelter that I came across, well almost!

There were a number of people in this shop so I called in, partly to get out of the rain and I wanted to keep dry, but also because it was busy.

The service was ok, smooth operators at this place working like a well oiled machine.

My strong skinny latte was ok, it tasted milky and the coffee flavour was, well...there wasn’t much depth to the flavour.

They had a coffee special with some raisin bread which looked sooo good in the pic. Mmnn don’t you hate it when you open the bag and it looks nothing like the picture? Hahaha ... yep! Well that was me with the raisin toast. It was ok, but only 1 piece, do you mind?! Filling but dry and uninspiring.

Mnnn next time I’ll carry a brolly hahaha

Good service and very quick service as well, decent pricing and fresh rolls. Would definitely come back. Also platters were decent sized but the dessert one could use some extra love

Kenny's Bakery bread rolls are soo freshly baked that they are crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. I love their Chicken Schnitzels, so juicy and pan fried hot, their staff are friendly and so quick that they will make your lunch in under 30 seconds. I usually get my roll with salad and cheese...Best combo!

One of the staffs was extremely impolite . If you do not know how to respect customers then do not serve !! Worst experience ever ! Will never come back to this shop !

Cannot walk past Kenny's without being lured in and snapping up their party pies!! So delicious and so cheap! The staff are super friendly and fast. The perfect snack between appointments. Mini-pies don't really count right?!

Good Vietnamese cafe to grab and go for lunch. Tried the Rice Bowl with pork sausage. The sausage tasted very tasty. Combined with the rice and Vietnamese sweet chili dressing over pickled carrots, really yum and fresh.

OH MY GOD THEY KILLED KENNY :)

Someone had to make the South Park reference, might as well be me. Headed into the city early and wanted something decent for lunch. I spotted Kenny's and went in for a bbq pork salad roll. It was $7.20 so decent value. Tasted very nice too, fresh ingredients and good bread and all that. Tempted to go back and try the sweets as well, the chocolate eclairs look mighty fine. Is Subway in for some serious competition? Only time will tell :)

My Morning is certainly complete visiting Kenny's... The best ambience and the best service.. The almond Custard Croissant is a must have... This place is so much way better than the one i have just below my office building...

I want to love Kenny and his bakery so much but after 2 years of 'cold stale' chicken schnitz sandwiches I am done. After being served stale schnitz on several occasions I now make a point of asking if it is fresh.... on the last 2 occasions - they've told me Yes Yes Fresh Fresh when after my first bite - its evident it had clearly been cooked hours earlier. I've tried all different times of the day and still the schnitz are stone cold. Roll normally costs $10 so not that cheap considering it is sometimes inedible.

Oh my what a discovery. Great Viet style rolls always fresh so much flavour! Great prices too and top notch service. I will now go no where else! Kennys ticks every box and then some. This is a place I had walked past many times thinking its only somewhere I could get a ham cheese sandwich. But my mind was blown. Do yourself a flavour and eat here. For $9.90 I get a pork baguette, can of coke and a custard puff.

I've only ever had the bahn mi here, but it's excellent. Tasty, fresh, reasonable price. Quick service. Recommended.

I thought it would be boring. I see Kenny's all over the city. With a name like that, and Australia's worship of the "fresh cut sandwich," I reckoned it would be a cold-cuts-on-white-bread kinda place. So when I finally went into this one, I was pleasantly surprised. Call me an ignorant immigrant, but I didn't know Kenny's was like a mash-up of Vietnamese banh mi, the eternal Aussie salad roll and an international array of things to stuff inside. Way cool.

The satay chicken sub I had was nothing to put in the Good Food Guide, but there was a decent portion of meat. It was made upon my order, the sub roll was warm, the veggies were abundant and fresh. The best thing was the bit of cabbagey slaw Kenny's puts on, which keeps the sanger from being too dry. It's a good deal for a non-junk meal at $10.20 for the sub and a 600-ml soda. I've been meaning to go on a sandwich-heavy diet (not to lose weight, but for the health benefits of more salad with my bread products.) I'm fixin' to make Kenny's a part of that.

I recently spent three nights in Melbourne for work. I was staying at the Oaks on Collins Street . I’m not familiar with Melbourne and even though I get to Melbourne for work probably once or twice a year it’s not a city that I take much notice of because I’ve never had to live there. The same applies to Sydney. My breakfast options consisted of the hotel restaurant or walking around and finding a cafe. I normally wake up between 4.30 and 5 am and after a shower and shave I want to find an early breakfast. Just up the road from the hotel I came across Kenny’s Bakery Cafe . I knew nothing about the Kenny’s chain and just walked in and received a very warm welcome from the ladies inside. On the first morning I chose a bacon and egg roll and a flat white. The bread was amazing. Even though the eggs were fried soft (not runny) and the bacon was cooked through it was the bread that made me take notice. It wasn’t chewy, it was light fresh and melt in the mouth gorgeous.
