As a person who has visited on a couple of occasions since they opened last year they really upped their game actually, not waiting too long for food, fresh and submersive but not feeling off afterwards which is a feeling i get occasionally with HJ's.

This is our go-to take away place when we're heading into the city (from western suburbs). Been there 4 times and tried something different each time. Impressed so far. Nothing negative to say really. Happy to keep going back.
Carl’s Jr burgers are quite similar in taste to Hungry Jacks but seem a whole lot fresher with more lettuce/tomato/onion. The customer service is amazingly genuine and helpful which is so refreshing for a fast food joint. I also love that they bring the food to your table... what a nice touch! Unfortunately, I wasn’t a fan of the fries... they are edible but are just not tasty enough in comparison to your typical Maccas store. The prices are pretty great (especially if you are using the app).... I think I paid $7 for a burger, fries, drink and ice cream sandwich. This place could do a lot more for sustainability... considering there was so much waste in just our small meal package incl. paper straws, etc.
Overall, if I was in the area, I would drop by this place again but certainly wouldn’t make the trip all the out to the miserable District Outdoor Shopping complex for burgers that I can get at my local Hungry Jacks.

Actually offended that my favourite burger joint in Australia is rated so poorly. Sure it’s a little overpriced but that’s what you pay for such a delicious patty and an actually well cooked mushroom burger. Love the root beer on the sofa machine. Wouldn’t change this place for the world. Highly recommend
The line was extremely long. I had to wait nearly an hour to get my food. But as soon as I bit into the burger I was so happy I had waited. The taste of the burger was so nice. It was juicy and flavourful. I’ve been craving Carl’s Jr ever since I had it.
I give five star solely for the chips and oreo milkshake. They are crazily good, guarantee will blow your mind. For the burger is just average.
I thought the burger itself was pretty good, though the patty was a little lacking in my opinion. One thing I thought they could improve on is their service. The employees were very nice but service is very slow for a fast food chain. I ordered one burger and which took them 15 minutes to serve
Came in for a quick bite before seeing a movie and overall an enjoyable experience. Service was quick: 10-15 minutes even though it was quite busy and the superstar burger + crisscut fries were yummy 😋 couldn’t fault ol Carl Jnr if you’re looking for a quick eat!
Pretty damn tasty burgers, in what is a very competitive market. Not quite your gourmet experience, but it’s priced accordingly and compared very well to its direct competitors. Despite lots of new staff service was great and food produced quickly.
I'd heard a lot of things about Carl's Junior so thought I'd check it out. It was good!
Firstly, the service was great! Lovely guy on the counter was super polite and the guy who delivered the burgers was smiley. It was so good to see!
Burgers were juicy and had a "Hungry Jack's but better" vibe going. I got the Original ThickBurger which supposedly had a thicker patty. I compared this to my friend's burger (who got the normal sized patty burger) and it looked pretty similar. The salad was fresh, which was good!
The fries were so yummy and crunchy! Thicker than your average Macca's fry, and so moreish!!
The fatty I am, I added the 3 Chicken Strips to my meal which were crispy and well seasoned. I did order sauce to accompany this, but it never came. Slightly disappointed..
All in all, it was good for a fast food chain. Would I go back? Most likely.. I need to go back for the shakes!
The waiters/waitresses were super welcoming and friendly throughout my whole visit! The food was surprisingly low priced but also amazing quality. I’d recommend to anyone visiting Docklands :)
First impression: Went into the restaurant and didn’t feel the vibe of a new restaurant. Staff didn’t seem welcoming - lady at the till didn’t smile once and there was no sense of urgency. Which is probably why it took longer than expect to receive our food. The burgers we had weren’t amazing but the fries were really good! Place also quite untidy when we were there around 3-4pm, even if it was failr quiet
Second visit update: Went back over the weekend to try other burgers and food was better than previous experience. Oreo shake was good! Staff was very friendly and the mood was great. Food still took some time but it was expected as the place was packed!
Love love love carl’s junior burger 🍔 I was so excited to hear that they open in Docklands after visited the other store at knoxfield.
Their burger quality is amazing. Moist patties and fresh salad well packed in their burgers. My favourite so far is their guacamole thickburger. Service is great as well.
Will I be back? Definitely!
