The cafe is great. It’s a really good place to drop by and enjoy breakfast. Good choice to go with frd. Have a chat and chill down. The crews are helpful n friendly
Just come and enjoy ur time
I'm with everyone else. This is a really nice place, perfect just for chilling out for a while. I sometimes stop by for breakfast. Especially for a quick coffee and croissant. the best part is the staff who are so nice and helpful.
Had breakfast before work meeting
Coffee ok not great
Smashed Avocado on toast niceish and acceptable
Good ambiance
Read newspaper (they supplied) with my brekky which I like when dining alone
We stopped in for some coffee and cake, nice coffee, 7/10 could be stronger. Prefect temperature. Great service, cakes where nice fresh and moist too.
Service was fast and friendly. Food was excellent. Great spot for a quick lunch.
Fairly basic food menu for dinner. We had the lamb and it was actually pretty good and for the price is great value. Wine list is ok too I would go back.
Came by for dinner using the entertainment digital voucher and was satisfied with the food. Had the seafood linguine and slow cooked lamb , both were good size portions and price .
Have been a few times with my girlfriend and have never been disappointed. Staff are relaxed and friendly, atmosphere is calming, food and drinks are tasty and decently proportioned, prices are reasonable. This place is quickly becoming a favourite of ours for a sneaky late breakfast or large, lazy lunch. Give it a crack.
Great and innovative breakfast menu. Try the Cnf stack which Michael recommends. Think smoked salmon stack but with bacon. Perfect poached egg and holindaise sauce on a bed of potato and avocado. Coffee pretty good too. Great food and great value.
We dropped in here before a movie at Como and were really surprised. The Manager Michael was excellent - he kept the kitchen open for us despite the fact it was suppose to be closing and he was generally a lovely guy to talk to and made us feel as if we were the only customer there (which we were not). We got the Chicken Risotto and a Spaghetti Bolognaise. The Risotto was to die for, the sauce was just sublime. I've never had a Spaghetti Bolognaise before with so much meat - it was great - generally restaurants fill the plate with pasta and top with meat - the meat in this dish was the main component and it had a secret herb in it as I couldn't figure it out - it was a like a bolognaise I had never had and I love it! The meals were hot, fast (rush so we could get to our movie in time) and plentiful. The cookies afterwards on the counter were great during the movie as well. Defiantly be going back there to try their all day breakfast menu - I want the pancakes
Brilliant big breakfast! Cooked to perfection - very very decent size for the price! The menu looks amazing and they do all day breakfast as well. Will def return to try out other dishes!
What a great little gem. Great food, reasonably priced with friendly helpful staff. We are regulars here, great spot to eat before or after a movie. Food consistently good with generous portions served by smiling staff. We will continue to be regulars.
The staff at this gorgeous, quaint little Cafe, are exceptional. I am definitely one who responds well to great customer service. There is nothing worse than a place that has great food but awful service. I can honestly say that this place has great food and even better service! My partner and I were over the moon with the quality and presentation of the food. The bill was so much less than expected which is always a plus! I recommend the buyer and the Caesar Salad. Portions were hearty and the taste was to die for :-)
I definitely recommend Cnf! New owners are passionate and very welcoming. I had the spring rolls as an entrée and fish and chips as main. Best battered fish I've eaten in a very long time; food is awesome! Excited to see what is to come!! Great customer service and My new restaurant to eat out at thanks to the change of ownership!
Went for a coffee and proceeded to spill it over chapel street. Super kind staff made me another great one! Service a little slow but great coffee and a delicious roast veg panini!
Missy K, Big W and the Red and Blue Macarons were browsing Chapel Street with empty stomachs but mouths brimming with conversation. Not long before we came across a busy glass and mahogany cafe. The coffees were served and soon after, the plates of brunch. Missy K and Red had a plate of the Smoked Salmon and Potato Hash Stack. A well seasoned potato and herb hash with slices of smoked salmon, topped with a happy poached egg, covered with hollandaise sauce. Big W ordered the Big Breakfast of two poached eggs, sausage, potato hash and bacon, served rye toast. For me, the Vegetarian Breakfast of roasted tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, spinach, potato hash, two poached eggs and rye toast. Ordering with a stomach smaller than the eyes, it was delicious nonetheless. The tomatoes were soft and bursting with juice, the mushrooms earthy and tender, the eggs were full and yolky, the potato hash well seasoned and texture
An old chick on the block. This unpretentious little cafe has been here for ever, and manages to provide for a regular stream of customers. Luncheon was calamari and salad. Perfect size for lunch of protein and leaves, and at a fair price. It is worth a visit.
BEST PRAWN RISOTTO ON CHAPEL ST. Went there for lunch and i got a 13$ prawn risotto. Probably one of the best risottos on chapel st. The rice was cooked perfectly al dente, the creaminess and the zesty flavor was definetely a winner.
CNF is underrated! The food here is great yet it seems to always be quiet every time I walk past. I usually come for dinner and have had the eye fillet steak which never disappoints. The duck papadelle is also delicious! It's a cosy little restaurant, nothing fancy but it deserves to be known! Give it a try the next time you're in the area, you'll be pleasantly surprised
Yummy and big portions. Came in last night with a scoopon. It had expired the week before but they were nice enough to let us book anyway.
We had the scallops to start which were delicious and cooked perfectly. A generous size for entre too, with three shells containing six scallops. We shared this and then had duck pasta and a seafood linguine. The duck pasta was delicious and very meaty. Even had left overs to take for lunch today. Shared the tiramisu which was great again.. so stuffed we couldn't finish even sharing.
Waiter was lovely and food came out quite quickly. Happy to recommend to others and would pop in for a quick meal again.
Purchased a Groupon voucher for breakfast for two people. Coffee was excellent and breakfast was fantastic. We ordered the Big Breakfast and Breakfast roti wrap. Both were delicious, serves adequate. Great service and food, highly recommended.
Food was fantastic, plus had a Scoonpon voucher to make it sweeter. Entree was great (Calamari & Prawns), main Burger was FANTASTIC!! Just a little slow on service
Absolutely looooooooved the food!!
Bought the scoopon and thought that it may be a shabby place. The waiters/waitresses are awkward, a bit unprofessional but they are helpful and they're definitely not rude! The food was amazing! I had the popcorn chicken and there was enough chicken to satisfy my partner and myself, then we ordered the steaks! Medium and medium rare and our steaks came out PERFECT! Then time for tiramisu which was delicious! All round couldn't have been happier with what we got! Cute little place and awesome food!!
Don't walk by. A little restaurant / cafe that is esy to walk by. Don't! Great for breakfast, lunch or a cosy dinner. Good food, recently redecorated and worth trying.
Coffee is a little hit and miss but their breakfasts are fantastic and consistent! Eggs are always cooked perfectly. Eggs Benedict are by far my favorite
Impeccable service, great ambiance, decent food. I received some of the best service of all time at this little hidden cafe on Chapel St. The food was great and the decor and vibe was great for a lazy Sunday brunch.
We can't believe this place has been here 13 years and we only just discovered it! Great meal and even better service. Total gem on Chapel St.
Great little gem that gets overseen. Great patio with heater to make the cool evening better - great sized (not big, not small) portions, and great service. Very highly recommended. I had the spinach and pumpkin salad. Best salad I've had in a long time....
Had breakfast here during our stay in Melbourne. Friendly service. A good selection of breakfast / brunch food and reasonably priced. We had eggs benedict and the savory breakfast beans. All the breads were light and delicious. Good coffee. Can recommend breakfast!
The "G.F." rich stack is delicious for brunch: tasty salmon on a bed of fresh rocket/arugula and avocado, over a potato mash base. Together with the hollandaise sauce, this dish is so much better than an eggs Benedict. It's so good we came back to order two later in the week.
Pleasantly surprised by this quaint little restaurant. Pasta was amazingly good and at a reasonable price. Service was also fantastic and the place was pretty quiet.
