Delivered via Uber Eats - My criticisms of the parma at Frank's all seem to be the fault of the transportation process and not of the restaurant itself, which has cemented my decision that we will definitely be visiting the restaurant itself for an in-house review some time in the next few months. Until then it's probably worth a crack, either delivered, pick up or eat in!
My friend took me and my husband to this restaurant for the first time!! Everything was delicious!! Great Italian foods in Melbourne. Staffs were friendly!:) Especially Gnocchi was excellent!!

Came in to Frank's and had the most amazing meal. Was recommended the lamb shoulder by the manager, which was so tender I didn't even need a knife to cut it. Our waiter Ryan was brilliant. Will definitely be back and making Franks a regular spot for dinner!
Had dinner there over the weekend with friends and ordered the haloumi for entrée and seafood platter for mains. The meals were delicious and the service was spot on.  One of my friends ordered the rib eye which he said was one of the best he has had. The staff were courteous and the complimentary port at the end of night was a lovely gesture.  Definitely would recommend and will be making it a regular dining spot.
Had dinner here over the weekend and enjoyed both the food and service. Calamari entree was great followed by a good sized woodfired pizza. My partner and I shared the creme brulee for dessert and were very satisfied. Would recommend!
dropped into frank's over the weekend and was surprised at what a lovely formal Italian restaurant it was. impeccable service by staff and the atmosphere was warm, cozy with dimmed lights making for a romantic atmosphere. I definitely got my seafood fix I was craving ordering the kilpatrick oysters and pasta marinara. thank you for the lovely dining experience.

Popped in here Saturday night with my husband. Although we didn't have a booking & we were initially told they were fully booked, they kindly managed to seat us at a table of a no-show booking.
Beautiful & warm inside on such a cold night. Atmosphere was busy but nice and the seating was quite spacious.
Highly recommend the wood fired garlic & cheese focaccia for an entree. Was a nice start to our meal.
Hubby had the salmon, which was on a bed of mashed sweet potato & he loved it. I had a grilled chicken breast with prawn cutlets, vegetables & honey mustard sauce. Generous serving, sauce was beautiful & prawns were amazing!
Meal was topped off with the Creme Brûlée for dessert. It was enough for us to share & it surpassed my expectations. Hubby would have licked the bowl if he could have!
Overall, great place. Love the boat theme in the front entrance & leading upstairs!
Only criticism was we ordered the grilled haloumi to go with the garlic focaccia for entree but it never came. When our mains arrived, we let the waiter know & asked if this could be removed from our bill. He sincerely apologised & it didn't appear on our bill.

Still speechless after last nights birthday dinner!!! My husband took me for dinner with our kids to celebrate my birthday & had an amazzzing night! From the friendly staff, to the service & the food I cannot fault this restaurant. The place was fully booked & so busy but we still managed to get personalized service from the staff as if we were the only four people there. Ordered spaghetti bolognese for the kids & it promptly came out as they were pretty hungry. My husband & I ordered the calamari, crispy pork belly for entree & decided to share a main of eye fillet. Lucky we made that decision because what came afterwards was the highlight of the evening. Calamari, one of the best I have had, so fresh, the seasoning just right, rocket salad on the side with an aioli sauce. Yum! Pork belly was another delicious entree. I tasted the spaghetti bolognese, also one of the best I have had! Now the eye fillet was perfectly cooked with a wine jus. Then the surprises kept on coming. Firstly the staff had organised a plate of ice cream with a candle & started singing happy birthday. The staff were just so friendly & great to speak to. They played around with our kids & made them so happy. Then complimentary shots, what a lovely gesture. Just when I thought the night had come to an end, a magnificent dessert platter arrived at the table with the live singer singing & got the restaurant involved. The dessert platter had creme brûlée, pistachio ice cream like dessert & a Nutella dessert which was devine! The live singer set the scene for the entire evening, lovely music & her voice was spectacular. Highly recommend Frank's Ristorante, especially for a special occasion
Date night. As our date night out brought us to Frank's Restaurant, we can honestly say ... WOW! From the amazing service (chit chat and banter with the staff) to the delicious food, how can one not be satisfied and left feeling so content? There was no skimping on the seafood in the dishes and the warm olives with bread were exactly what we needed to warm ourselves. Warm and fuzzy feelings all around. The Baileys Creme Brule finished off our evening along with coffees and shots. Thank you soooo much for such a wonderful dining experience!
Excellent friendly service. The staff were very professional, polite and made you feel right at home. Food was enjoyed by all and my gnocchi Saltati and sticky date pudding were both amazing. Will definitely be back again!
Great food and service. Veal and risotto mains were spot on and full of flavour. Good wine list, amazing creme brûlée dessert.

Good for family restaurant. Have Eaten a few times and reliably good. Prefer to pay the bit extra for pizza or pasta take away as better than others in the area by far.
Great service, quality well cooked food, very reasonable prices for what you get. What more would you ask for. Good work guys and don't stop what you're doing.

Amazing. I have been to franks many a time. If it was either a function or just a meal with the mrs. Each time I have been I was always met with great friendly service and amazing food. I love it here. Served fresh and extremely tasty. Will not disappoint. The age old saying is you get what you pay for, thats very true at franks. The manager always does his best to accommodate you, and always supersedes your expectations. I have just recently had my birthday function there, I had the upstairs closed off for my guests with inhouse provided entertainment. All of my guests there were so impressed they will be back again.

Great service, great value, great food. I ate here the other evening with three work colleagues. The ambience was great with super-attentive staff, including the manager. Starters were delicious and mains wonderful - angus beef, flounder, pizza and rib eye. All cooked to perfection, great serving sizes and a fantastic bottle of Margaret River Chardonnay.
I would rush back - and may even head back this weekend - and would rate it a possibly the BEST restaurant on the Keilor Road strip (Paesani comes close though).
Had dinner there on Saturday night, service was great and the staff was very friendly. We waited roughly 30-45min for our meals but it was well worth it. Food was beautiful and cooked perfect.

Top notch seafood. I went to Frank's Ristorante for the first time with a girlfriend about a month ago.
The food was impeccable, the pricing was more than reasonable and portions prefect. It was a quiet night so not too many staff on, but the person i assume is the manager was lovely, knowledgable and helpful.
I went back two weeks ago with family and again food is amazing. Being a busier evening I did get a better glimpse at staff and how they worked. It would be the only point i could criticise, service = 3 stars... better than some but a long way to go. Didn't pick up on basic indicaters - trying to make eye contact when ready to order. Didn't start clearing entree plates till dinner was being served - but started clearing our dinner plates before everyone had finished.... So.

Took the family out on Sunday night to keilor rd niddrie and as we couldn't find parking we were about to leave the area for crown when there was a parking outside franks ristorante!! We said we would give it a go and what a choice we made. I give this place 10/10, couldn't fault a simple thing!! The manager was great, really treated us like we were his family!! Will be a regular when dining in niddrie; magnificent flounder, oysters were perfect, steaks were delicious, I can't fault this place. Well done!! Must have a top operator, my wife and I were shocked on how good this place is!! 10/10 loved it....great wine list also, get the 717 cab sav!!
What an amazing night out!. I recently dined at Frank's to celebrate my friend's birthday. We shared the wood fired focaccia, pork belly and pumpkin fritters for entree. For mains we ordered the hot seafood platter, and it was AMAZING! The waitress even put a birthday candle in my friends dessert. The food was spectacular, the staff attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Thank-you to all the staff at Frank's for making our dinning experience a memorable one, we will be dining with you again soon :)

I ate here with my family, food is mouth watering and a wide selection to choose from, kids meals, seafood, meats, pastas and especially pizzas all the food is amazing and a great portion for the price. The owner was a true gentleman offering the kids free ice cream after their meals and complimentary drinks. He has done an amazing job with the place and the menu is phenomenal! Service from the staff is wonderful with their smiles and friendly greetings! One of the best restaurants on Keilor Road! I recommend it to everyone you won't be disappointed!

Exceptional food and service. Absolutely fantastic.. Had dinner with the family, and I have to say that it was very impressive. The food was absolutely exceptional, with large portion sizes and the highest quality ingredients imaginable, tasted divine. Definitely good value for the price. The ambience in the restaurant is lovely, and the Blues band which they have playing upstairs on Sunday nights was an unexpected treat. The owner/manager was very attentive, friendly, funny, and did his best to ensure we had the best possible experience, very hospitable. Food came out extremely quickly, which was a nice bonus. I cannot recommend Frank's enough; simply the best on this side of town. If you're even vaguely considering eating here, you should try it in a heartbeat, you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend their pizzas and wide range of seafood dishes, particularly the pastas.

A nice surpise in Niddrie!. Usually my wife and I (who live in Airport West) would consider going out to dinner in Brunswick or Fitzroy if we wanted a really impressive meal that blew our minds.
Being a little tired this Saturday night and not wanting to make the trek to Brunswick, we decided to try out Frank's in Niddrie on the recommendation of a mate who'd recently gone there and was impressed.
Sure enough, the food was bloody amazing and the service absolutely top-notch.
I ordered the lamb and my wife the ocean trout, and both dishes arrived in a VERY timely fashion for a packed restaurant. My lamb was tender, succulent, and in the most delicious sauce imaginable for my ravenous appetite, and my wife's lemon mash and sauce complemented her trout perfectly.
The waiters all keep a diligent eye on the level of drinks in our glasses, ready at a second's notice if we needed a refill, but without being pushy and OTT about it.
In fact, I was grabbing THEM more often than not and pointing to dishes coming out of the kitchen and asking "What's THAT one? It looks AMAZING!"
Looking forward to trying the kangaroo or steak next time - their menu is so extensive it's going to take awhile to get to the pages with risotto, pasta and pizzas on it!

Best Birthday Dinner. I celebrated my birthday here tonight and I have to say a very big thank-you to the owner and his amazing staff for a fantastic evening. I can be quite fussy and the owner was very accommodating to my needs. The food was delicious and service efficient and friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed and family orientated, highly recommend feasting at Franks!
Food was good (250g eye fillet), bit pricey ($35) but definetley worth it. And if the steak was 50-100g bigger it would be more filling for me as I am quite large

Delicious! Fresh! Great new look! We recently booked upstairs for a private function. Teddy (new Manager and owner) was fantastic from the start. He spent time advising us on an outstanding menu choice that all our family and friends loved. Massive Antipasto platters, melt-in-your-mouth calamari, white bait, saganaki platters, beautiful mixed pasta platters and the most delicious T-bone steaks and barramundi mains! Our guests raved about the food. The service was impeccable. The staff were very friendly to all guests aged from 8 months to 88 years old - particularly great with the kids - offering drawing materials and taking time to stop and chat! All our guests were extremely pleased and we all had a great night. Highly recommend this restaurant for dinner or functions!

Good freshly cooked meals with plenty of options. You can order pizza or pasta and ask to have ingredients added or subtracted from the dish.
Prices are reasonable and service is fast. There are a few steps required to navigate to enter the restaurant but once inside there is plenty of seating and tables available. The venue can be extremely busy on Saturday evenings so bookings are recommended.
Takeaway is available along with eftpos.
