The best Salmon Don I had in Dockland area.

Freshly made and authentic Japanese food.
Pulled off my orders in 10-15mins even when Marvel Stadium had an event and footy fans were everywhere.

I ordered Gyutan don and my friends ordered the sushi, katsu with egg sauce and tori kara don.
Portion wise, all meals was quite generous for the price we paid.
Flavour wise: my gyutan don was average and they didn't clean up the ox tongue properly as I can still see the rough layer of the tongue. The sushi was slightly soggy.
Service was good and food came out relatively quick.
Place has only a few seats and this place get busy during lunch time.

We were here for a quick meal the other day. The gyoza and the salmon sashimi was really tasty. We ordered a chicken katsu Don and the chicken was very juicy, we also ordered a seafood Udon which the soup base is miso rather then clear, it still tastes very nice but wasn't the flavours I was after. Overall, would come back as flavours are very good.

Good value lunch time meal. Take away lunch you get a free can of soft drink.
Lines can get long but the wait is not too bad. Best to ring ahead.
There are some seating inside and more outside but the outside ones do not have shade.
The entrance is wheelchair accessible.

Had the salmon dish and a side of the chicken karage. The meal was delicious and service was speedy! Good spot for lunch.

Teriyaki Chicken Don - I had this at least more than 10 times now, had it in other places nothing matches this so far.

Been here twice, tried their kimchi fried rice and salmon teriyaki bento, and both were delicious. If you love spicy food, kimchi fried rice is for you. The highlight is the salmon teriyaki has generous portions of salmon! Definitely worth to try if you're around the area.

3.5
Take away Pork curry Katsu Don today and this came with a free can of soft drink. The curry sauce came seperate to the rest of the dish meaning the crumbled pork was still crispy when the curry was poured over back at the office. It did mean more plastic waste which isn’t really acceptable but made for a better take away meal experience. They are doing a booming trade here and continue to be packed out inside

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Previous Review
So the last time I came here for lunch it was called another name. They have a good range of Katsu, Ramen and sashimi at reasonable prices. There is a lot of takeaway happening here because the seating is quite limited but fortunate timing enabled us to eat in. I ordered the Teriyaki Salmon bowl while my dining buddies had the beef ramen and vegetarian ramen. The salmon in my dish was thinly sliced but a generous helping and there was a good ratio happening here... not too much rice like I have at other places. Ramen looked equally impressive. Would certainly call in again
Visited this place for a early dinner with a friend. Ordered a Teriyaki fish don and Tori Kara(crispy fried chicken) Don. The fish was good and was flavorsome. The chicken was crunchy and tasty loaded with the hot sauce and mayo.
The Dear Luncher
The Dear Luncher needed to line the stomach before going to the pub and time was of the essence. No time for hanging around waiting for a meal to be cooked, so it was a couple of fried chicken rolls from Katsu House who were called upon for this most glorious of duties. Not bad. Not awesome, but not bad. The Dear Luncher knew that this was a risky idea. It was nearly 6pm, and these rolls looked like they'd been in there for most of the day. They did the job however, preventing serious intoxication by 23.5%.
My friend and I came here for dinner last night before the footy. We had different dishes and I had a Tori Kara Don which was deep fried chicken w mayonnaise, chilli sauce and rice.
We were sharing a table w another person and as they were eating it they recommended it. The service was really friendly and welcoming, and on a busy night they were really attentive.
The food was tasty but lacking spice and flavour and overall it was average. My friend enjoyed her dish though.
And I brought an Asahi bottled beer for about $6 and inside the ground Carlton Draught mid strength was almost $10 in a plastic cup!
Would I go back, yep for sure. For the price this place was good value and the food was served quickly.
For the area, the food was way better than expected. I ordered a beef upon and it was really good, the broth had a tasty unique flavour and the udon noodles were cooked properly. I'd come back here again.
