We have takeaway here occasionally and always have the century egg and pork congee. At $10.80 for a big bowl it's well worth the money if you're craving congee, especially considering it's located at Crown Casino. Congee is not exactly expensive food but it's hard to find places that do it well for this price and portion.
Their other food is also pretty good but less value for money. I believe they are owned by the same people as Hutong dumpling bar, and while their Shanghai dumplings (Xiao long bao) are pretty decent, there are other places that serve the same quality at more reasonable prices. I don't recommend standard dumplings here (or most places for that matter - most places serve dumplings with thick dough and are a waste of calories).
Their dough fritters (you tiao) are not bad, thinner and crispier than other places but not as good as the best ones you'll find in other countries like Singapore.
One of the yummiest kind of noodles Ive had in a long time. They offer the usual Asian cuisine options but a tad bit yummier. Especially the sweet soy chicken (yes I'm a fan of chicken). The veggie noodles are a little bit on the less spicy side but you can always add the chilli oil to notch it up as much as you wish. I do that and then it's just perfect for my taste. The fried rice as yummy too.
Ok so I have heard of the bad reviews but I desperately needed some snacks so I ordered the salted chewy glutinous rice dumpling and the red bean fried ball. Both were quite good, comparable to what you have at yum cha. It’s exxy for sure, $3 for one when you can get the same thing at yum cha for approx $6 for 3.
We only ordered two items from the menu to tie us over for the day. Crab claw was absolutely delicious, crispy, full of flavor and well cooked- 4.5/5 for this item. Unfortunately, the salt and pepper chicken ribs was overlooked and lacked flavor and was overall disappointing - 2/5 for this item.
I invited my friends here. It's very good that they have round table which can fit 10+ people. The food are delicious in taste. Pumpkin pie is worth trying, very good. They ran in a busy environment, but still have good service. It's a better place to have dinner with friends.
After walking through crown food court a lot, I have always noticed this dumpling place but never thought much of it until I heard from colleagues that 'Hutong Dumpling Bar' is a popular dumpling spot in the city that rated highly and this was an express version of it called 'Ten Miles' with a food court presence.
On the way home after a big night, I stopped here with a few colleagues and we decided to try I it. We ordered a few servings of the signature xiao long bao's, wontons with chilli sauce, bbq pork with rice, beef fried noodles and Ma Po tofu with rice.
They do give you a buzzer after you order, so you can find a seat and don't have to stand around waiting while they cook the food.
The dumplings are quite nice, keeping in mind this is a food court and not a speciality Asian restaurant so they are nothing special, but for food court dumplings, it is quite nice. There is obviously the 'crown tax' price which is dearer then you will find at other dumpling places skeins the city but for conscience sake, you pay for what you get. It was also nice of them to serve the hot chilli sauce separately as I requested. I would really look to try the real Hutong Dumpling Bar in the future.
I’ve read the reviews and tasted the food on a few occasions And honestly I couldn’t rate it any higher really friendly people and quality food keep up the good work guys!
