Ever Tried Special Chicken Biriyani here? Can say the best biryani ever tasted here in Melbourne...it's a must try delicacy which can reach up to the expectations of the appetite if you are a true food lover!! Decent hospitality...Actually there are two restaurants with same name but biriyani is served only at one place...Loved it!!
One of the best rawa idli in the town. The size of an idli is decent and sambhar is authentic. Though the white chutney is peanut flavoured rather than coconut. Masala dosa is also nice.
A small cozy place with really good food, I love the biryani here and the Mirch ka salan you get with the biryani is to die for, I am a vegetarian and I quite like the food here, I think the reviews of this place is low only because of the ambiance ,like I said before the place is quite small but decent and cozy, would recommend going here if you are looking for decent Indian food
Authentic Hyderabadi Biryani at Docklands. Had been here many times. Hyderabadi dum Briyani and special Briyani are signature dish here. Lunch deals are worth trying as well..!!
I prefer take aways! The food is typically South Indian n specifically made by chef from Andhra. High on spices n tasty! Paneer butter masala was tasty. Must try variety of biryani as it gives u proper taste of Hyderabadi biryani ..
The Indian of choice for a lot of the local workers... and the dish to order is the special biryani, bit wet and with all the spices thrown in. Comes with deboned chicken. This was amazingly good... reminiscing the good ol days when spice lounge in Hawthorn did something similar but better. It’s spicy already and can pack a punch if you order the special and ask for spicy. I won’t tell u who that dingbat was 😜😂😱
We also tried the mutton biryani... hmmm very bland in comparison and not much mutton. 3 pieces counted.
The tali is apparently pretty good too, will give it a go next time.

This time I went to Nawab's dine in venue with my colleagues for a team lunch I made a booking the day before for 7 people and received one with no issues.
Their service is very quick. Amongst the 7 of us, we ordered three non veg thalis, two goat biryanis, one chicken biryani, a lamb korma and rice. Though we were asked if we wanted our meals to be spicy or mild and all of us chose the mild option, every single dish they served was too too spicy for all of us.
The non veg thali was amazing. It came with pappadum, raita, a sweet, some rasam, dhaal, butter chicken (not the generic creamy butter chicken but a very spicy one - think lamb vindaloo spicy) and dham chicken. As well as roti and a lot of rice. I didn't finish my meal but I could have because it was all so good. Though all of us complained about the massive portion sizes, almost all of us got through 90 percent of our food in minutes because the meals were so good.
However, they are a bit skimpy on the chicken in the chicken biryan (i.e. a massive bowl of rice with one scrawny chicken leg piece)
And they refuse to bring the bill to your table or do split bills. Which is very annoying when I had to foot a 100 plus bill .

Such a busy place.
Delicious food at very affordable prices.
We had the chicken boneless biryani which came with spiced fried chicken pieces in spicy rice with yoghurt and a spicy Dip on the side.
We also had the naan, rice, two veg curries and non veg curry for 10 bucks.
Food was way more than enough. All the food is spicy. So beware
The lamb curry, saag paneer and veggie curry were delicious. Super flavoursome. Six hours later I'm still full.
The special chicken biryani here is amazing. Its flavorful, spicy(hot) and tastes so good. Its one f the best biryani I have had here in Australia, closer to the one we get in India.
The usual chicken dum biryani and the lunch deals are good too, although they could be better. The service is a little slower and the place is too small. But they now have the dine-in option just across the road.
Edited review:
Went again for the idli sambhar after an amazing experience! The sambhar did not taste fresh despite having a good flavour. Have also had their lunch special curry n roti ( instead of rice) which tasted average too! Will give it a try once more for the biryani.

When you want to have a healthy and tasty meal, they serve the best idli sambhar ever! So satisfying and full of flavour. The place is compact but so is most of the lunch spots in CBD. Will definitely visit again!
Great place for weekday lunch and biryani. If you are looking for biryani in docklands, I recommend this place. Very crowded during lunch time. But I think they are opening a bigger new place in the next lane.
Amazing place to have hyderabadi biryani. Do let them know if you're not much into spice (saw quite a few patrons with runny noses, but they still finished their biryani) coz their biryani is hot spicy and i'm loving it. Lip-smacking :)
Pretty small and gets really cramped at lunchtime. The food was fairly good though. They don't hold back on the spiciness. Your taste will determine whether that's a good or bad thing. They seem to specialise in biriyani (dum style), which I will come back to try.
A little shop that serves up briyani with punch. Generous on spices.. Making every mouthful of flavour and spiciness which will wet any spicy lovers appetite. Also when its packed with locals, you know the food is good
