This is my go to lunch spot when I need a quick, fresh, tasty lunch. I love the noodle box with spring rolls and chicken, it's great value and delicious! I also love their rice paper rolls, the crunch of crispy skin in the chicken, and duck rolls is the best! Staff are lovely, food is cheap and service quick. Always consistent too. Cheers!
I tried the Whats Crack A Ling Banh Mi with chilli. The roll was soft on the inside, and it had a really nice crunch from the pork crackling. The ingredients were fresh, I would have liked more pate in the role, it was spread quite thin so you could barely taste it, but otherwise it is great value for money. Really good location in the Tivoli Arcade.
The banh mi was awesome, the set cost 11 dollars and add extra 2.50 for another prawn roll is good enough for two persons eat. The coffee is good too!
Points for: crusty baguettes good value
One of the better places in the CBD you can get banhmi/fob rolls/$2 rolls/salmonella rolls (the latter nothing to do with VB, just a late 90s joke). It's a little bit of a hidden find, down into Tivoli Arcade.
Quite busy at lunch, but the line moves pretty quickly.
They have good combinations - roast pork, duck, traditional cold hams, grilled pork/chicken, etc
The baguette is nice and crusty on the outside, and soft on the inside - exactly what you're looking for in a good banhmi.
They have good value combo as well, with an extra rice paper roll and a drink at $10.
Speaking of the rice paper roll...not bad, a little small and could be rolled up a little tighter.
This place is often packed during lunch time and for good reason. The food here is pretty good value (for the cbd),and the different banh mi fillings means that regardless of your tastes you should be able to find something you'll like
Tasty rice paper rolls and excellent iced coffee! The baguettes and salads also come highly recommended. Perfect for a snack or a quick lunch.
Really fresh, great value and excellent service. I'm gluten free and also have other food intolerances and they made me me special rice paper rolls which were delicious. Really recommend this place
Best banh mi in the CBD, fast and friendly staff, very well priced for the quality. Try the roast duck and/or grilled pork!
Don't bother with baget and roll'd!
Cool little hidden gem. Really like this place. Simple menu and tasty quality food, consisting of banh mi, noodles and rice paper rolls. Much better quality than roll'd and baget. Get there early for the crackling. Service is always friendly. I wish them luck
Love this place! They have moved from Tivoli Arcade to 222 Bourke Street at the Kmart Centre- hasn't been updated in Google yet it seems. Had lunch here for the first time today and it was fantastic. It's also very reasonably priced - cost my $11 for a grilled chicken salad bowl and rice paper roll! Will definitely be back :)
Came for grabbing a quick bite with my partner. We bought a totally toasted banh mi which had a mix of roasted pork and duck(this mix was absolutely lovely) , cucumber, pickled carrots, and sauce (not overpowering). Overall the food was great and the service by the two lovely ladies as well. This place is worth trying if you want a quick bite. The totally roasted banh mi was around 9$.
First off - this place has moved fro the Tivoli Arcade to the KMart Arcade across the other side of Bourke St.
Second - great bahn me. Tasty, freshly made as you wait and beautifully seasoned. Terrific
Pretty good pork roll overall, the rice paper rolls are very nice, maybe even better. Their Vietnamese Iced Coffee is very tasty and cheap as well.
The uncle on Sunday is very friendly. Banh mi + ice coffee are both affordable and delicious.
