I went here many time. food not very perfect but it ok. Staff always look busy when we want to order but still friendly service.
I think it not too bad if you have to spend 37.50 for all you can eat.
Don't come here. Don't come here so I know I will always be able to get a table. It may be small but it punches above its weight class. Will try to come back often
All you can eat Thai could not be more perfect! Amazing, fresh, tasty meals with friendly service. $37.50 each for unlimited food for 2 hours is just perfection. You always leave full and never unsatisfied. We ordered multiple dishes off the menu from fried rice, prawns, pad Thai, nan bread, satay chicken and many desserts! Highly recommend this amazing gem in Collingwood. They will not disappoint.
The all-you-can eat was quite good, the fact that they serve to order make it very fresh. The price is quite good considering it includes a few types of soft drinks and dessert.
Every time we have visited as a large group and found the staff, food and facilities at a reasonable standard. We had the all you can eat for $37.50 and had our meals delivered quite quickly but we did preorder some entree as to get the meals going as people arrived. The toilets could do with a renovation and but overall the seating was a bit squishy as to cater for a large amount of people. The meals were fresh cooked and the vegetables crisp and fish moist. Perhaps we just caught them on a good day but I would return as it offers a decent range of food catering for a wide variety of tastes. For those who can eat to their hearts content , this is a good choice.
All you can eat? Heaps of food for a cheap price!? What's not to love? I'm not usually a fan of Thai food, but this place changed that! Absolutely loved it! Will definatly be back.
Great quality alacarte style all you can eat. Food was very tasty and good portion sized. For about $35 ppl (cash only) with a large option of entrees, mains etc including dessert and unlimited drinks it is very well priced considering thai food is quite pricey in general. Only point lost is for the lady boss, she didn't look happy at all serving us, at times fake smiles where casts and kept emphasising that if we can't finish everything on our plates we had to pay for it. The other waitress were friendly though! Lead by example I say!
Friendly and attentive services! The lady that served us cracked a few jokes and made us very comfortable to eat there. delicious Thai drinks, dessert and food! Very good price for a buffet
Love this place. Peanut sauce and Roti are to die for. Shame it's only open for dinner. My partner and I come here often, the staff are always so friendly.
Absolutely amazing service here. Very attentive staff that were all cheerful and respectful. Food came out very very quick. Food was decent. Large variety to choose from and portion sizes were good. Worth the $35 per person all you can eat.
Amazing Buffet, Great service and I'm Thai! My FAV!. Wow. First of all, I'm a little speechless seeing all negative comments.
I took my partner there (Aussie) and we both absolutely loved it. I'm amaze that their buffet menus included all seafood like whole fish and all you can drinks!? WHAT! You cannot find it anywhere else!
The place always busy, so sometimes it does take a while for waitress to come around, but it's understandable.
They never rude to me or us, they don't smile all the time, but considering how busy it is, I don't really mind. They are doing their best. So let's put service at that.
Food is amazing. All Seafood dishes are great. Stir fried all great and I love their drink choices. My partner just really happy with his unlimited Coke and unlimited ice cream lol. Curry menus are good. They are not like street food in Thailand good, but frankly, where is but in Thailand? They have to make it at mild rate because there are probably same paste base and serving as all you can eat. What needs to be spicy, you ask for spicy and it blows my head out (and I can eat spicy).
I will be back again and again and again, maybe even today! You guys are doing great.
The bbq beef was very tasty and tender. It was different in contrast to the sweet chilli sauce, but eating them together made a whole other taste.

This place sits well on my taste buds and for $35pp all you can eat how can anyone resist? This place looks like an old cottage house next to a pub on Victoria street, it could easily be missed so if you find yourself in Richmond you are way too far. I’ve been here many times and its mostly hits with rare misses. They offer menu orders, takeaway and all you can eat. Ing Doi all you can eat sessions are at 6pm and 8pm (2 hour intervals). Their menus don’t differ between single or all you can eat orders, everyone can enjoy everything on the menu with no restrictions, however all you can eat portions are smaller then when you order each individual dish. There is a catch, if you order too much and can’t finish your food; there is a penalty price for all you can eat leftovers. Food are mostly spicy but not overwhelming, with salads you get to chose how spicy you want it to be, drinks and desserts are all inclusive in the all you can eat price. I didn't take any drink photos but you must try their Thai milk tea, order it in a jug to share, we always go through multiple jugs at one session. You'll find that Thai's love their sauce so there is a different sauce for each individual dish (thats effort). Staffs here are friendly but things can get hectic and messy so your dishes may stray to another table without you noticing
I really liked Ing Doi because it was so cheap and good! Every dish (besides the deep fried stuff) was fresh & succulent. Especially the calamaris, they were amazing. Their pad thai and curry were not bad but of course Ying Thai remains number 1. We ended our buffets with a fried banana dessert. I'd love to return one day when I crave for Thai. Everyone else dining with me said the food was only mediocre but I still think it's awesome, especially for its price. Ing Do
Speedy, delicious and friendly (Review based on 5 people). Pros:
* Speedy and friendly service
* Reasonably priced "All You Can Eat" with small servings of some dishes so you can try different varieties without getting too full
* Located near Wellington Street, a good street for parking depending on the night
* Delicious food and drink
Cons:
* Parking may be difficult
* Interior is small and squishy, and can get quite noisy if it's busy
Summary:
I went here on Saturday for a family dinner. Not your place if you're thinking of having a nice quiet dinner with conversation but an excellent place to have a delicious dinner with hungry and rowdy friends/family who just want to enjoy great and loud Asian service. Make sure you arrive with plenty of time to find parking, if you're driving.

Came here for a buffet dinner with a party of 8 and we all left completely satisfied. With a wide range of dishes on their menu, as well as drinks and desserts, we found that this catered to everyone's tastes. The service is friendly and though some orders seem to have gone to the neighbouring tables, with some of theirs coming to ours, we could not find it in ourselves to complain as it was obvious that with the packed restaurant and huge lists of orders from each table, there was bound to be some confusion. When chasing up a few lost dishes, the waitresses were very understanding and would either place a new order for us or go chase it up with the kitchen. Great place to go in bigger groups so you can try a bit of everything on the menu! Overall, I would definitely come back.
Just for that green dessert!! It's amazing!! Well everything is. :)
Feels like I'm in Thailand!. Not many words needed. Authentic and delicious. $34.90 all u can eat or a la carte. Will be a regular haunt.
After reading urbanspoon reviews, we had the pleasure of finally dining at this wonderful resteraunt. It was definately worth the travel. The staff were friendly and courteous. The food lived up to our high expectations. Everything was tasty and beautifully cooked. We will definately be returning soon!
Went with a group of people. The staff were fantastic. The food was good and for $36 per head all you can eat, you can't go wrong. We were very happy and very full. Will definitely return.
Great value!. It's not the BEST thai food you will ever eat.
but a friggen feast for $35pp is bloody awesome.
the food is nice - i would not order the pad see ew again though..too dry for my liking.
service is a bit too fast paced though. let me read the bloody menu before asking my what i would like 10 times. it's a large menu!
they are nice, just a little impatient.
defs in need of a refurbish.
Love it. Love the deal that they have, continous dishes for just the once price counted as per person. It's beautiful, inlove with the thai milk tea.
Thai tastic.... Shame it's only open for lunch at the end of the week.
Pad thai, red curry tasty, spicy terrific.
A restaurant for a local market. Service was faultless.
The food was pretty good, I had a Duck Salad and it was quite tasty and fresh but not a meal trying to impress just to satisfy..and it achieved that! Would come again if nearby, but probably look for a fancier restaurant if otherwise.
The yellow curry, followed by the duck curry and pad see ew were the stand out dishes. The others were pretty average. Quaint little place, if you are going in a group bigger than 3 or 4, I would recommend you just order a la carte, as you can easily fill up cheaper than all you can eat
BEST LOCAL THAI TAKEAWAY. Love this place, and get takeaway once a week at least. Great reliable food.
The red duck curry and pad thai are my favourite options. Good value.
Downsides: Only take cash at the moment, and no delivery options.
EXCELLENT/RECOMMENDED. Having been to Thailand. This place is pretty awesome and worth it! $35.80 (order whatever you want from the menu). We went for a friends birthday (14 people, bit squishy but at least we can hear each other hehe). Order a lot of seafood dishes, pad thai (bit sweet), salads and curries! dessert was pretty awesome! sticky rice banana yum yum...
Service very quick and attentive! love the concept as servings can be whatever size you want so you can try a lot of different food off the menu.
Wonderful night . No fuss business. Honest food and not trying to get all fancy (thanks ing doi)
Nice Thai food for lunch on the weekend. We have been to Ing Doi for lunch on the weekends, and for dinner (a la carte) during the week. Much prefer the lunch menu given the variety of authentic rice/noodle dishes on offer. Haven't tried the buffet though.
We always order the pad thai, thai noodle soup, and the duck salad (spicy, of course!). We've had hits and misses with the pad thai; but even when it missed, it tasted decent enough. The thai noodle soup is fantasitc - light but filling. I'm a sucker for thai duck salad and Ing Doi's has never disappointed.
Service is a bit sporadic, but on a lazy weekend afternoon, we're not too fussed. Mind you, we have never had to wait long for our food. However, on occasion when it is not too busy, the waitress disappears to the kitchen at the back and you have to wait for her to come back out to the dining area.
Great value for money. My girlfriend and I first heard about Ing Doi from a friend of my girlfriend's. We have been three times so far and every time did encounter some bad service but only by some of the waitress, there is always one or two that are great and helpful. But in the end the great tasting thai food and the value for money made up for any bad service. We couldn't stop eating our buffet dinner, continuing to order roti bread and curries and chicken and beef dishes, seafood, the works. everytime we left there we were so satisfied and very very full we could hardly walk. Great little restaurant, only thai i have tried in collingwood but probably up there with the best straight away. Overall 8/10.
Big buffet feast... The food was ordinary but enjoyable. I will definitely return here when I am hungry for big feast! Must try their ice milk tea :)
Great value - all you can eat for two hours, which allows you to choose what you like from the menu and it's freshly cooked. Food was pretty good for the price and plenty of variety from soups to curry to pad Thai to dessert. Definitely worth it.
Great fast service and tasty food. Went their for the first time a month ago with a group of 8. We opted for the all you can eat dinner menu. Service was fantastic very prompt, fast and friendly. The food was super tasty and was not poor quality like most all you can eat. It even included dessert and thai tea which was great value. We will certainly be back again!
Loved the food and the atmosphere .The service was outstanding.we didnt want for anything. If you love Thai you have to try Ing Doi Thai ,you will not be dissapointed
Buffet dinner tonite with 4 others. Food ordered and came out pretty fast. Have over 16 different types and most are pretty good except for the 2 salmon dishes. Service staffs are friendly and efficient. Full house tonite.
Great place.... The foods are tasty, staff are friendly and great value for money, love to come back this place.
Nice honest business. I went to ing doi last night for buffet dinner.
I've called ahead to book a table for 2 but was inform that I can just walk in for 7.00 pm. booking since they are not fully booked, and that the dinner booking session are in block of 6.00 or 8.00pm.
The food was as beautiful as ever, I've ordered many dishes in half serves for the variety. And ending up couldn't finish a dish, since it's not as yummy as last time, and instead of charging me for over ordering, they admit that it was their fault, messing up the order, and served me full serves of all the salad instead of half serves, and wave the fee for the left over. I was willing to pay for over ordering, but then this happened i was so impressed with their honesty. They could have cunningly served me full serves to make sure I couldn't finish my dishes and charged me lots of money for the left over, and i wouldn't know. I highly recommend this place not just for their value, and quality, but most of all, I encourage you to support this honest business!!!
Fantastic Thai Buffet. This restaurant is a little treasure. Good place to bring a group of friends to try out their buffet. You order off the menu, and staff brings each dish freshly made from the kitchen. The menu is extensive authentic thai food and includes entrees, salads, curries, mains, noodles, vegetarian options, rice, desserts, white milk tea. I recommend the papaya salad with salty crab, the calamari with lemongrass and the thai style grilled pork. Basically anything Thai that you want they have. And all this for under $30 per head. Deco is not fancy but you really can't complain and everyone is happy and full and have a great time trying out all the different dishes. Be careful not to get too excited and over order as they will charge you if you have too much left over. Fair enough.
Love it!. I can not say enough good things about Ing Doi, the food is tasty, cheap and quick, the staff are friendly, the decor is standard mum and dad thai. I recommend the window seat.
I thought this place was good. Ordered a deep fried fish with the lemon grass sauce $25.90 and this was delicious, mostly on account of the sauce. The green chicken curry $13.90 very tasty and a bit spicy too. Tom Yum small seafood $8.90 was good but not a highlight. The service is freindly and the food arrives quickly. I will come back to try some more dishes.
We have had couple of bad experience last year, but now all staff members very attentive & efficient. We enjoyed ourselves throughout the night. Food is great! For $37.9 all you can eat + dessert and thai ice tea, nothing could go wrong. Kudos for all staff members!
Had takeaway here. Relatively fast but waiter wasn't very thoughtful (eg, only gave us one set of fork when the food was clearly for 2 people). The taste was okay, a little too oily.
Sawadeekap,
Been here heaps of times. Delicious. The first think is that when you walk in don't expect a fancy place. It is very clean and traditionally looking place. The staff are great, especially Tira, she makes you feel most welcome.
The food is great and pretty much a traditional Thai cuisine. Much more cuisine than other Thai places where they try to cater more for westerners taste buds.
After living in Thailand for four years and visiting Thailand every year it fills up the gap of missing great Thai food.
This place is a must to try.
Oh, the prices are great. Not expensive at all for what you get.
Parking ok around the place.
Note: the location picture on Google is not the right one. Its actually around the corner. Guys, you need to update this.
Kapkhunkap Ing Doi
do not mind the decor or small interior , as you will be teleported to food heaven. I first ate there regularly 12 years ago, my first stop when i returned to Melbourne was to Ing Doi , for my favorite food. Thanks for being there for me still, look forward to many more trips for noodles now i live in Melbourne again .
