SO GOOD. We had karaage ramen, curry katsu don and chicken yakisoba. Each meal was perfectly put together and flavorful. Really fresh. Technically I rate this as a 4.5, only because each meal came out individually and it seemed to take them a while to cook each one. But definitely worth it and I will be back! It was absolutely dead for a Friday night and that’s a shame. Hidden gem.
Delicious tempura prawn sushi roll and miso soup. My partner wasn’t too keen on his yakisoba though. Nice decoration, clean, the service was a little slow.
Went here for our day 1 dinner in melbourne. Since this place is close to our apartment in rose lane, we went here twice for dinner. Though the first time was the best time. My dad and husband got the unagi don, they said the unagi was the best they ever tasted! It melts like butter and was soooo tender and tasty! You can just break itu apart with the chopsticks. The second time we got to eat there, the unagi wasn’t as tasty as the night before and it was tough. So it was a disappointment 😢
But the sushi and okonomiyaki was amazing! Their sushi are fushion i think. But the okonomiyaki was the best i ever had in my life. I don’t what i’ll do when i crave it back home in Jakarta ❤️
Gyoza perfectly cooked, the unagi salmon sushi...fabulous. We were the only people in the restaurant for lunch. Melbourne you are missing out!! I’ll be back.
Ninja Teppanyaki is an exciting little spot, tucked away from the bustle of Spencer Street thanks to being housed down Watertank Way near the corner of Lonsdale Street. This elusive feature matches up nicely with their Ninja moniker. You can enter these premises from both Spencer and Lonsdale streets.
It's a best Japanese restaurant I have been in Melbourne!Wonderful service, delicious food and comfortable space.Sashimi is fresh and salmon & prawn roll is multI-level food which surprised me!I definitely will go to visit again!
Food: Was well portioned, delicious and served well! We got the ebi panko which was well fried. The wagyu beef was amazing, the salt was well balanced and not overpowering.
Service: impeccable service from our waitress Cathy.
After work dinner and drinks were perfect . After a tiring day at work decided to try out somewhere new. 100% glad I did , atmosphere , service and the food were all perfect . Food came out fast , service was amazing and I really love how family friendly they made us feel . Definitely recommending this to all my friends . If you do decide to go I recommend the wagyu beef and if you want a nice drink ( Long Island ice tea) is the way to go . 👍🏻😬
Nice place, Nice Japanses food. It is near southern crosss station. The comfy environment let me relax after one-day busy work. It is great place to drink some cocktail and have some incrediable Japanese snacks. Recommendation Soft shell crab salad!!!😝Wagyu Beef😋Okonomiyaki 😏Takoyaki Tempura
Also have daily special. I will go back next time!
A brilliant Janpanese restaurant. A great place for dating with friends, colleagues, and families. Drinks and foods here are so delicious and pretty. I really like soft shell crab salad, and salmon and prawn roll. The staff there are so nice and enviroment is also peaceful. really healing myself after working for a day.
Nice food! Nice environment! I went there with my 6 friends, everything we ordered was yummy. The salmon prawn sushi roll and mojito cocktail were so good as well as the octopus balls. The foods look exactly same as their ins. I love Japanese food, I'll definitely go back there.
A cute little Japanese restaurant! Food is fantastic, and the environment is delightful.
Me and my boyfriend booked a table on Sunday night and surprisingly half of the table was reserved! Considering it was recently opened, I have to say, well done! And due to the fact that the Wagyu beef was too tasty, we reaped it before I could take a photo of it!!!
WILL RECOMMEND!!
pretty good!really delicious!Just near the southern cross station, very convenience. The wagyu is so good. and also the drinks sexy on the beach. worth to try.
Ordered teriyaki salmon and it was really tasty. Lovely restaurant with lovely people. Definitely worth to check it out! They also give you free edamame which is nice.
It is extremely tasty. Chicken is very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very good. The service in this restaurant is also very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very good.
Relaxing atmosphere, delicious food and great service only to name a few positives about Ninja Teppanyaki. Left the restaurant feeling satisfied due to descent sized portions of dishes. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting delicious Japanese cuisine. Thanks Ninja Teppanyaki!
What a hidden gem to stumble into ! Super cosy on a rainy, winter evening but I think their outdoor seating will also be great during the summer.
The food was great. I especially loved the Okonomiyaki which the restaurant put their own spin on and had really great textures throughout.
Service was also exceptional ! The waitress we had, Cathy, was attentive and super lovely.
Will be bringing friends back :D
high quality service & elegant environment with Japanese style. Cocktail is attractive. Okonomiyaki is the best food I've ever had!
I will come again!
Was a great night out with a couple of friends. The ambience is really quite special, has a very different feel to it. A place you want to go if you want to impress! They crockery, artwork and cutlery all add to the special feel.
The food is really quite special, we had the teriyaki salmon, okonomiyaki and teriyaki chicken with the rice. They were all cooked so well, especially the okonomiyaki in the open kitchen which greets you as you walk in.
The service was quick and friendly, and seeing the chefs greet you as well was a nice touch. I highly recommend this place as a hidden little gem of Melbourne.
I went here with my partner and it was an incredible meal! It all started with the decor, it sets up a great intimate atmosphere, perfect for a date and hopefully when the weather gets warmer, the outdoor section will be great for the bar and after work drinks.
We started with the takoyaki which was delicious. We then had the wagyu beef, grilled pork, teriyaki chicken and okonomiyaki. I highly recommend all of these dishes, but the highlight was the okonomiyaki for sure, which was so different to what I've had before in Melbourne.
The service was terrific, and it was great to see the chefs cooking on the grills. And they were super friendly greeting us when we walked in and out of the restaurant. The cocktails are also quite good, I would recommend the Sakura one.
All in all a great experience and a restaurant I'll be sure to visit again!
Fusion of passion, Artistry, dexterityWhere do I start?!Everything from the crockery to the hand cut decor on the walls effortlessly make you feel you've somehow stumbled into Japan. From the exceptional level of service to the fresh food and drinks menu …it captures your heart from the moment you walk inside.Everything designed meticulously… the love put into the place just seeps into the atmosphere and simply mesmerizes you....
Every dish is created skillfully with utmost passion and delivered to your table by the most courteous waiting staff. The staff are always warm and welcoming and smiling, the drinks list perfectly compliments the food at incredible value for money!
I dined with a friend of mine and we had ordered 4 courses between us, everything was served hot, tasted fresh and looked absolutely to die for!HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE WAGYU.. It'll change your life.
My only recommendation would be to have more Japanese styled music to match the theme but overall so beautiful and peaceful that you never want to leave!
...... if you want to impress someone… this is the place!
Keep doing what you're doing, I'll be coming back!
Thankyou Ninja Teppanyaki for such a wonderful experience!
A new spot worth a visit! They have replaced the Pretty Mama restaurant and I think they will do really well! Their food is fresh and super tasty, made right in front of you in their open kitchen. Service is friendly and efficient. I've got take away twice so far and the quality is fantastic. Suggest the stir friend pork and the Japanese omelette. There Japanese potato salad is excellent. A new local and go-to
Monday night, I felt like something fresh & light but also wanted something with more flavour~walked by and realise aha! Japanese it is~
The place was nice and cosy. The staff were really prompt and friendly with their service. I ordered the sashimi party platter and teriyaki chicken. The fish was crisp and fresh. Loved the layout and the scallops were the best. And wow, the chicken was so tender and juicy. The sauce was really marinated well so it was a perfect combination with the rice. The portion was really generous. Which I found was great as some japanese restaurants do go for a smaller portion (following the japanese culture i suppose?).
Will definitely go back to try out more on the menu! looking out for the wagyu beef next time~
Had dinner yesterday again, I have to say the food taste always nice and the service really good, friendly and kind! Definitely bring friends come back!!
the teriyaki salmon is really amazing, that's the best Salmon I have ever had. The meat is so fresh and juicy, feel like it melt in my mouth, and the sauce is so yummy, perfect combine with this salmon meat. Highly recommend!
Great food and friendly service. We have 4 people dinning here yesterday. Amazing quality of the food and drinks. One more suprise the first drink is free!
Took advantage of their opening offer for a free drink with the meal purchase. And boy was I surprised. To start of the Japanese decor is superb and modern. Really nice setting and atmosphere. Now on to the food. My partner and I ordered the wagyu beef and okonomiyaki. And I'd have to say we'll definitely be back the wagyu steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well it didn't need sauce. The Japanese pancake that the missus had was also really good! You can tell it was fresh and not one of those frozen meals.
5/5 will definitely be back.
P.s. Excuse the crappy snapchat photo. I was too hungry at the time.
high quality service & elegant environment with Japanese style. Cocktail is attractive. Okonomiyaki is the best food I've ever had!
I will come again!
It's a best Japanese restaurant I have been in Melbourne!Wonderful service, delicious food and comfortable space.Sashimi is fresh and salmon & prawn roll is multI-level food which surprised me!I definitely will go to visit again!
Amazing taste Japanese restaurant. High quality service. Five stars! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Great affordable freshly made food. I really liked the atmosphere here and the staff was really friendly.
Delicious food, friendly staff.
Had a nice meal with friendly and efficient service. Had the sushi/sashimi main with the lobster/prawn roll. We found it enough for two people and we were satisfied. We also had tea which at $10/pot is expensive considering the cost of the meal. The food was good and quality excellent. Overall I did find it a bit expensive which is why 4 stars.
Excellent service and great quality food. Just happened upon this place after an event nearby, was not expecting such a great experience! Worth a visit for some quick and delicious Japanese dishes.
Fabulous and delicious Japanese dishes!
My friends and I went there for dinner and even though the place was empty we had to wait for our order but it was totally worth it. We'll return to try more food.
Be aware that they only receive cash payments. Luckily there's an ATM at the door.
