The best crispy chicken is here!
Absolutely delicious - 5 stars for their chicken and their tom yum is pretty good as well
However, in regards to their interior it’s not that great and their portions vary sometimes depending on business so if it’s busy they usually serve less but other than its really good!
Enjoyed the crispy chicken ribs though it is a tad too spicy for me. The crispy pork belly with vege was average but overall their memu offers good value for the price! Will be my go to place for lunch.
This is the only place I know that offers green curry fried rice! And it’s awesome! Flavours are great, cosy little place. Service ladies ain’t the best, but it’s value for money.

Surprisingly good for a place that looks like a cheap and cheerful eatery. It’s not s big restaurant but does pack a mean meal. I had the soup which was very tasty and a good portion size. The pad Thai was very nice and would be happy to order again. So many of these fast eateries that cater for international students are diversifying what’s on offer in Melbourne. Wheelchair friendly but only just. Looking forward to exploring the menu more over the coming months.
One of the best restaurants in Melbourne for cheap, fast and delicious Thai food. Our favourites are pad see ew, tom yum fried rice, tom kha and spicy chicken ribs (you can order it as a main dish to share rather than a single meal with rice). To top it off they allow BYO at a very good price too!
To be honest, i went here like ages ago.
Almost forgot what i ordered.
I had the crispy pork with chinese brocolli,
Tom yum and the papaya salad.
The food was tasty and authentic.
Staff were very friendly.
Worth to try
Spicy chicken ribs are the best in the world! Would definitely return just for this dish. It goes well with some red duck curry. Reasonably price as well.
I have been dining for a couple of times for their famous chicken ribs. The main portion of dishes is really generous. I also like the tom yum fried rice and papaya salad.
My favourite crispy chicken ribs ever in entire melbourne so far. The portion is good which is worth for the money too. In genereAl it’s tasted good, only the curry’s portion a bit smaller.
Close to real thai foods
Cooked by a girl
Staff friendly 4.5
Taste 5
Costing 4.5 good for all
Shop was very clean
Floor was not slippery
Plates were very clean
If I have to be a bit critical
The Tom yum soup needs a bit more spice and a bit more acidic
Apart from this the chicken ribs on rice is so yummy
Positive foods and dindi was impressed
Service was fast
I look forward to my lunch today ...oh i may just take a photo as some people are skeptical of ones reviews .
Visited the Raan Kan Eang as I craved for tom yum during my holiday in Melbourne.
My cousin recommend this place as it served a good food on a cheaper side compare to restaurants in CBD.
I ordered a Tom Yum Prawn Soup (of course, duh) with rice and Thai Milk Tea, because it feels right to drink one on a Thai Restaurant.
I didnt expect a lot from it, as the price quite cheap.
But boy was i wrong, as the broth super rich with flavor and comes with a big prawn.
While the Thai Milk Tea super tasty just like the one in Thailand.
Not only it served a good food, the waitress there also friendly.
This restaurant must be an 'it' place for Uni Students, as its cheap price and have a warm ambiance. Perfect place to go after study with friends :)
My very first time dining here and my dish was Pad Thai- Chicken. The portion was not too big or small, the tamarind sauce was too sour that I could not finish all. The table at first was dirty with left-over food lying on the table and the Thai Milk tea glass of mine was cracked and it dripped, how unlucky I was, but I got it replaced. :) The yellow lighting made the whole restaurant really cozy.
Came with the youngling on a current Groupon promotion of a main dish, fish cake & soft drink lunch. Had the option of 5 dishes to choose from settled on the red curry and a pad bai graprow.
Service was prompt and efficient and an delicious looking meal was presented within 10mins. Much more generous is portion size than I was expecting and the fish cakes (that I'm not normally a huge fan of were a definite highlight.
Curry was outstanding the youngling adored every mouthful. Pad bai was a bit too hot for his taste, but I readily gobbled it up.
Looking forward to returning to test more of the menu, thankfully I bought a number of vouchers!
Note: Cash only establishment
Food was pretty decent and full of flavour. Didn't have to wait long for it to come out. Decor of the place could be improved, it's quite dark and old.
Used Groupon voucher. We had Pad Thai + Chicken and Thai Basil rice, fish cake and soft drinks. Both were very generous and Delicious. Thank You!
We had a group booking of 12 people, booked online( needed to make 2 bookings as one booking only caters for max 6 people).
The location is pretty convenient, close to Cnr of Abeckett St and Elisabeth St where there are a cluster of eateries of different cuisine.
The food is quite authentic. We ordered quite a variety of dishes and all turned out to be very enjoyable, Pad Thai, Green/Red Curry & Pad Bai.
The service might not be overly welcoming, as are many Asian restaurants, but no complaints either. Everything has been taken care of.
Overall, happy to give it 4 out of 5.
A great little Thai restaurant that I discovered on Menulog. They were offering a 30% discount, and I was feeling particularly ravenous and chose them, simply because I could maximise the volume of food that I procured. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes and the freshness of the ingredients. Unlike some of the previous vendors that I had ordered from, the vegetables were crisp and sweet.

This Thailand restaurant previously served good foods. But today when I came in, it wasnt as good as before. The rice that I got wasn't hot. Its cold and I think its been outside for quite long time. But, the chicken spare ribs and pork belly with chinese brocolli are still okay. Im just quite dissapoimted with the rice. Overall, their food and price are average.
Small place but will surprise you with a cozy interior and good Thai food. I really liked the Tom yum soup with seafood but would take the large one next time. The Pad Thai was good too. Portions are OK. Pricing reasonable. The staff were friendly and quick to take orders. You can pay with the Liven app here so that was great.
Great Thai food hidden here. Love the Khana moo grob (crispy skin pork and Chinese broccoli on rice) - you gotta try this :)
Also, they take Liven payment ... that’s a bonus.
My go to place for spicy chicken ribs on fried rice (it's not on the menu so you have to ask). Prices are reasonable and foods are pretty good.
Love traditional pad Thai there
tasty beef, chunky noodle with sweet and sour flavours of tamarind
