This nandos in Melbourne central is in a good location and is almost in from of Melbourne institute of technology so I come here sometime... The service is good and fast and the physical space is clean too.. I love the chicken and the peri peri sauce... The price is fair and not too cheap and not to expensive... Good experience with this place...

A good place to chill with friends and family. I was happy with the service and the quality of food served. I am a frequent visitor of Nando's and this place lives up to my expectations of quality food. Overall a good experience to me at Nando's Melbourn Central.. Visited this place again on Jan 5 2021. The female lady working on the counter doesn't seem interested to work. Customer service matters guys. Reduced to 3Stars from my side.

So if you are a chicken lover, then leave everything you are doing and head straight to Nando’s.Don't forget to try all the amazing sauces that are available.

Decent Nando's store. Food is okay, sometimes a bit lukewarm, so it needs to be brought to the table sooner. It's a shame you need to get your own cutlery and condiments as it can be hard to hold a table at this busy location. As a chain, you don't expect too much but this store still falls a bit flat on the service side. Cashiers are disinterested and often you watch the waiters wandering around with your food until they find the table.

Flying Forward

As far as consistency goes, you can always count on Nando’s for freshly grilled chicken. It’s an option for me when I’m on a health kick but need a little something something. The Melbourne Central branch is particularly busy, and depending what time you dine, could be a little messy but they generally try to clean the tables as soon as a customer is done. Quarter chicken is juicy, thanks to the thigh piece I received. For me, the mild sauce doesn’t even tingle, but it’s nice and tangy anyway. The spicy rice is just yellow to me i.e. nothing spicy about it at all – a little on the dry side though. I think I’ll be hungry in about 2 hours.

Is it just me or does the chicken at Nandos keep shrinking but yet the prices keep going up? I felt like my quarter chicken was very small the other day. But the chicken was moist and the sauce was delicious. Chips were a little overcooked but still tasty.

The chicken never fails. Delicious platters, wraps, burgers and tenderloins. Started off with the mild and worked my way up to hot peri peri sauce. It is extremely addictive. Love those peri peri chips as well.

K: Having not had Nando's in a long time, my brother and I approached with eager need. Located conveniently at the top of Melbourne Central, this was the perfect meet up spot for both of us University patrons. Service is okay here, attentive however conversation could be improved. Let's get to the food! We ordered a whole mild chicken, and a feast for two comprising of two sides and a few variants of chicken pieces and yes we finished it all. The whole chicken was delicious, oozing with the infamous Nando's marinate and sauces, although we did note some parts to be particularly dry due to the nature of the chicken. The rest of the meal was great. All of the additional chicken pieces were juicy and tender, whilst the chips and coleslaw (which had a yoghurt-like taste) were perfect compliments. The chicken is definitely a cut above average supermarket and thereby most similar restaurant offerings although price is just a little on the 'above average' side. A good dining experience, satisfying chicken although be mindful of cost and portions! Food: 3.5/5 Ambience: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Value: 3/5 Overall: 3.5/5

If you are lost and you need a quick spicy meal then Nando’s is the one shop stop for you.... Being an Indian I always look across a delicacy around the world similar to that of Indian Cuisine and I could find Nando’s to be one of the place wherein you can tingle your taste buds.... Peri peri chicken (either a whole or wings) are worth trying along with chips.... They offer a range from Mild to Hot sauce that you can try... Once I did had a spicy rice but I wasn’t satisfied with it... hence if you are in Australia, Nando’s is one of the well known food chain hence you can try it out anywhere....

Nando's has already been my favourite since long time.The food was delicious.ordered some corns,chickens and wines but as said i am truly impressed just because the taste they offer. Cost was also not that much.Much more than expected.For those who dont drink,you can really try out some drinks but mostly Orange was my favourite. We came here 2 weeks ago for a quick bite... TBH, the food is pretty disappointing compared to other Nandos. The portion was a lot smaller too. Hope they can improve on this. Otherwise, the service is good and nice ambience. May come back again in few months time.

Wonderful atmosphere at every outlet and friendly staffs, not to mention the reasonable price and promos (WTH) they have as well as the diverse menu selection! :) This outlet, specifically, seems to always be buzzing with excitement!

Delicious as usual. If there is a scale more than 5, id choose that. No word can describe how i love Nando's chicken. This is the 5th Nando's outlet that i've tried. But i love them all equally. My love for Nando's chicken is eternal.

Surprisingly, an experience better than expected. I've not been a fan of Nandos but the Victorian outlets have really impressed me. The food quality is good. The quantity although is as expected. The prices are adjusted to suit all ranges. But the taste of the continental cuisine this chain offers is the best in class. My picks are the chicken grilled burger and supremo wrap. Cheap and best options. Also, one should really try the orange juice offered with meals. That's my favorite part.

Food: Pretty disappointing compared to other branches. Portions are smaller, and chips can often be cold. I've also had long waits for my food, even when they aren't busy. Atmosphere/Service: It lacks much atmosphere and really feels more like a glorified take away. It has the luxury of being tucked away in a corner, but they really haven't taken advantage of this, seating is very open and almost feels like a whole separate area to the kitchen - more like food court seating. Staff are ok, not rude, but make little effort to even have a chat, or smile at you. Just seem disinterested and unhappy to be there. Would I recommend it: No, make the extra effort to walk to little Bourke Street where there are friendlier staff and bigger portions and it's an actual restaurant. If you want to eat in Melbourne Central there are many better options.

A convenient location for a pre or post movie meal. Lots of seating in an atrium style open space. I ordered my usual (chicken thighs, hot, with peri peri chips) and the standard was good as usual. The meal was served quickly. I'd definitely revisit this outlet of Nando's ... but please get AMEX!

One of the places i come back to regularly especially when i dont have any preference for lunch/dinner. Love the peri-peri sauce, although they were a bit too salty. The hottest one was super good! But still, too salty. Grilled chicken was great, and chips were fat and crispy.

Coming for a short drop in road trip lunch with buddies. We each ordered a pita sandwich. I really like their idea of free serving sauces and the toothpick flag noting the sauce i ordered. Overall a good fast service on sunday when all other diners are closed.

Very poor staff. Changed my mind with my order and got attitude from staff member. I understand it is frustrating and I did apologise two times (which were not acknowledged by the way), but there is no excuse to treat customers in that manner. On a lighter note, the food was amazing as per usual. Can never go wrong with Nandos chicken but will definitely not return to this store again

Oh man. Much awaited Nando's chicken and planned for the right time to visit after reviews of the most spiciest food outlet in the neighbourhood. Warm and welcoming place with people who were awaiting the deliveries and counter where suggestion in terms of spicy levels are well defined. Loved the full Chicken portion with the top spicy flag on it. Waiting for another bite for sure on the next visit.

I used to like Nandos a lot - when I first tasted their chicken I thought it was fantastic. Lately though, whenever I get Nando's, my first reaction is to recoil at the saltiness of the chicken. This has happened so consistently over the last 5 times I ordered Nandos I am ready to give up on them altogether. Today I ordered the thighs on open pita - the chicken was salty, the sauce all over the pita was salty, and overall the experience was not enjoyable.

This is your traditional Nandos very similar to most. I like to order lots of chicken when I come here because I am not a great fan of the sides. Chips are bit salty for me and rice etc is not to my taste. Chicken is defs good. Go for one of the options which up to what sort of spice you'd like. Order below the spice amount what you'd think because Nando's provides free hot sauce of all flavours for you to put on chicken. If you order it too spicy from the kitchen there's no make-it-less-spicy sauce! Chicken is tender and delicious. Unfortunately I have had some dry bits, but these are far outweighed by succulent bits. A good meal for a reading break if you're reading at the Library. P.S. Look out for birds when you're inside and I am not talking the chicken! Lots of birds come in through the big front door.

Update Tuesday 7th of November. Food has significantly gone down hill. I definitely won’t be returning here. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - I always know what to expect when visiting mostly any Nando's stores and that is a decent burger or wrap with tasty chips on the side. They are great value meals for when you are in the mood for Nando's and off to see a movie. Personally I quite enjoy their food at the many locations I've been too.

Needs to massively improve their ventilation in the kitchen! We sat upstairs and when we walked out we noticed we smelt like peri peri chicken! Even someone at work commented on the stench, how embarrassing! Difficult to be professional and work in an office if you smell like a cooked chicken!

BEST NANDOS IN MELBOURNE Come here all the time love the food and the people!! They now have a great selection of beers too which is a bonus for me!! We order the espatada's and the Tear and Share platter!! Love the hummus with the peri drizzle. I can dip my self in it. Yum yum yum.

I used to be a fan of Nando's specially the Chips when I lived in Northern suburbs. I think the quality of food and proportion is better outside the CBD area. In CBD, the focus is just on selling rather than delivering the awesome chips and chicken you expect to have. I tried Nando's after a while and having a massive crave yesterday and I got disappointed. Taste is still good but not as good as before. However, the portions are smaller and not worth the price in CBD, quality of Chips is lower and I had to wait half an hour for my food in a semi-fast food restaurant. If you want Nando's go to suburbs where there are not many people. If you want to spend 30-40 bucks (for a proper meal) on Nando's you got plenty of better options to go for! 2/4 Nando's in CBD 4/5 Nando's elsewhere

Who went - 2 friends on a Nandos mission! Damages - around $25 Order Chicken Hummusphere Pita - 3.5/5 - The tabouli was over & it was notified to us while billing but we still went ahead with the order. The replacement salad had a huge piece of grilled tomato so was a little disappointed. The pita was soft & non soggy so that was great. Just an average pita with good chicken. Unfortunately the salad spoiled the taste. Mushroom Burger - 4/5 - Good to have once in a while but nothing to look forward to. We had ordered Regular chips but the girl at the counter didn't bill it so we had to go back to the counter & place a new order for Chips. Wrong orders always turn me off so I deduct 0.5 just for that. Verdict - Would probably try other restaurants & if nothing is left then come back here :)

Nando's is a good choice if you're looing for fast-foodesque takeaway. It's nicer than maccas etc, and its clear that there's better seasonings and more care taken in food preparation. The spices and seasonings are very yummy and the whole roasted chickens are good to share! I also like the limited menu which tries to be healthier than other such fast food joints. The periperi sauces you can buy are great and I use them in my cooking for all sorts of things! I like this location as its next to ABC and good for a tempting hot chips fix before/after drinks!

Friendly staff and very quick service. Great to grab a quick bite amidst catching trains or shopping sprees. Always an easy option when in CBD. Hygienic and clean unlike many other fast food joints in city which are hideous.

A casual dining place right next to Victoria State Library, offers dishes from Afro-Portuguese cuisine. A small place completely carved out of wood is a perfect option to hop out of the office for quick lunch. They specialize in chicken dishes and the wide assortment of sauce that can be used for the preparation. The spiciness of the sauce varies from plain (actually they should be calling it - "seriously? why even bother") to maddening hot (f*** yourself). We ordered 1/4th chicken with lemon and herb sauce, paella with mango and lime sauce and supremo burger with mild sauce. The food was ready within minutes, every dish had a small flag which identifies the sauce used in the preparation, very neat idea. Starting off with the chicken, huge portion, cooked to absolute perfection, succulent. Paella is a rice bowl with meat as well as some veggies tastes average. The bread used in the burger is slightly different than those used in a signature burger. My guess, it was multi-grain. The size of the burger was a bit small, but it was delicious.

Went there for my birthday ... food was ok .. service was good... One of the few restaurants in Melbourne that ive noticed that provide sauces or atleast without charge. Liked the bbq thighs but portions were very small. Fyi.. the hot sauce is very spicy even for me being from India.

MMM. Nando's is becoming a little bit overpriced, but you can't beat this place for a nice dinner. But it's famous for its peri-peri basting and for the daring, you should go for the Extra Hot basting. It's the best! Char-grilled chicken, whether it's a whole chicken, bbq wings and ribs, it will fill you up. They have wraps and or a pita pocket for those who like the variety. Different sides come with the combo. Its a great lunch or dinner. Although sometimes, depending on the delivery, the meat can be a bit dry.
