Strange one to write the review. On one hand the pizza was good, what you would more or less expect. The home delivery side of things could improve and took a long time. I think I will do pick up next time.
Tasty!!!. We ordered from menulog and found the Margerhita and BLT VERY DELICIOUS! Yum! We've ordered from like 10 different pizza places since living in south yarra and this was by far the tastiest in our opinion. Only thing is free delivery for over $30 orders would be awesome. Thanks for drawing the prawn wizard! Lol.
Love this place, been ordering pizza from this place during the World Cup and been loving it. Extensive menu, that has great quality for the price. Heaps better than any Pizza Hut or dominos pizza!!
I do a lot of travelling with work around australia and I stay at various hotels and find myself eating home delivery food quite often. I found the quality of baked in Sth melbourne's food to be very high and for the price to be one of the better options I found in Australia. I ordered a few times whilst in Melbourne and the pasta as well as the pizza particularly the creamy chicken to be of the highest order. delivery was fast on all the occasions I ordered and when staying in the southbank area I'll be using these guys again. Big thumbs up!!

Delightful Delivery!!. Ordered a medium Kosmo pizza and it was absolutely delightful. Nice combination of flavours thats up there with the best vegetarian pizza ive enjoyed in melbourne. Would def return !!!

Not bad, interesting crust. I got an unexpected call in mid-afternoon to do a midnight shift on a hospital psych ward, so what better excuse to have some takeaway pizza and red wine, which would make me nap for a few hours? Baked in South Melbourne is a short 112 tram ride away from where I live, so it was a natural. Plus I liked the idea of their wholemeal crust.
That base under my Napolitana pizza was cracker-like, but not cardboard-y. It had a bit of crunch, although not as toothsome in a "00 farina flour" way like super-authentic Neapolitan pizzerias do it. The best part about the toppings was the tomato slices, which tasted like they were fresh before they got plopped on the pizza. The lashing of anchovies was generous. I got into the habit long ago of ordering my pizzas with anchovies, because when I put one in the refrigerator at work, nobody steals a slice. Anchovies are the pizza equivalent of smoking a cigar -- a way of saying "I'm offensive, and I'm not afraid to show it. Whatcha gonna do about it?"
My only gripe is that a medium pizza, roughly a 10-incher, costs $15. (More if you order one WITHOUT anchovies.) I snarfed it down and my stomach hardly even noticed. Pizzas cost a bloody lot in Australia for what you get. I shouldn't whinge, though. That's what happens when we live in a society where everyone is on decent wages. I don't mind paying more to the bloke who runs the place, either. He gave good service, even popping out of the resto to see where I was when I had rambled down the street to buy a bottle of cheap Cab-Merlot at Cole's. That's an owner who's concerned about his customers, not a Pizza Hut drone!
Good but expensive. Really good Pizza. Interesting variations and a lot of great vegetarian options.

Way better than average pizza. We've used Baked in Elwood for something like 15 years. The wholemeal bases just gives such an edge over your average takeaway pizza and their toppings are the best. Well, they had better look out! Just used these guys for the first time. They use the same formula but their pizzas are even better. Really tasty, extremely well presented pizza and way better than all but the very best artisan pizza.

Read This -. I have read some of the reviews about other items on the Baked in South Melbourne menu so I cannot comment as I have not tried them. What I can say is this........... I used to own a La Porchetta restaurant and I am proud to say we used to do well over 2000 pizzas a week - we had a very strong reputation in my area in the Western Suburbs. I have lived in the South Melbourne area for 10 years now and have tried many pizzas..........Baked in South Melbourne stands HEAD and SHOULDERS above any other pizza I have tried in the area. Easily the best....Bases excellent......flavours exceptional! Keep it going guys!
We only order pizzas here so can't comment on other items. Pizzas are fantastic and taste superb with a beautiful base!

Ordered the chicken avocado pizza and i found it to be really tasty. Really enjoyed it. My fiance got half lamb souvlaki which he said was nice and half pesto which he said was lacking in flavour. We also shared the dessert pizza was amazing. We loved it, the fruit was fresh and the custard so yum!
Great. I am a bit sceptical sometimes paying $20 for one pizza, but at Baked I am happy to fork out the $$ as it's tasty, filling and it's delivered!
I can really recommend the Lamb Kebab pizza, so good!
I ordered the lamb kebab pizza, lasange (yum) and some wedges and it fed 3 adults comfortably. The wedges weren't so great, but that's just because they had been sitting in a container in delivery.
Delivery was nice and quick - waited 35 mins on a Sat night. I've waited 1.5 hours for dominos to deliver before!
I have no hesitations what so ever to order from this place again.
Best of all they have a great online ordering system, and you can opt to pay cash on delivery.
Best Option in South Melbourne. South Melbourne has a million options to choose from but these guys have to be my favourite.
They deliver when they say they will and the wait is never long for somewhere taht is soo busy.
My choice for pizza would be try something different and have the Desert Pizza It's FRUIT SALAD.

You haven't been to South Melbourne if you haven't tried this pizza joint! Will come back again and again for The Balazo! Highly recommended!
Excellent pizza, great staff. Definitely eat in if you can, the pizza's to get are the Kosmo and the Pesto.
