Found this little slice of heaven one afternoon while shopping around the Emporium and could not be happier! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. I ordered the massaman beef curry and my companion ordered the chicken and prawn laksa. We also shared some veggie spring rolls as a side dish and Thai milk tea to wash it all down. Everything was made fresh and packed with so much flavour, whilst also being very affordable! If you’re looking for a high quality Thai meal with a low price tag, I would most definitely recommend this joint! It’s bang for your buck!

Came here recently for some thai food with some colleagues. Different choices of modern thai foods from the usual pad thai to assorted curries. Prices are a bit exxy for a shopping centre menu but the servings are quite generous. I went with the red curry which had a medium spicy level. Good amount of coconut milk. Lots of veggies and chicken. Order at counter. Foods came out at a pretty reasonable amount of time also. Will come back to try the other menu item.
Ordered the Khao Soi (Thai curry laksa) lunch set. Came with spring rolls and milk tea. Laksa tasted nice together with the crispy noodles. Spring rolls were delicious. Milk tea was a tad too sweet. Prices could be slightly cheaper but hey, this is the city after all.
Yet to try their selection of food, but I'm a lover of their Thai Milk Tea flavoured soft serves. Well balanced, smooth in texture and just the perfect cheap treat after your meal. Place is quiet when I visited so I was served very quickly..

I decided to give this place a try despite its low rating, only because most of the low ratings come from people who have left less than 5 reviews which always look suss in my eyes. Anyway, tried the $16.80 special, had the red beef curry with rice, 3 spring roles, and an iced tea, curry was nice, rich in flavour and tasted fresh, meat was cooked well. Spring roles were crunchy but lacked a bit of flavour, maybe slightly more rice for the generous serve of curry, and it would be perfect. I'd go again.
A great atmosphere, but an alright taste for food. Just alright. Tried the fried rice and it was a little bit soggy. The prawn cracker is also a bit tasteless. Amazing thai tea, tho!
We wondered into Emporium for a food court and we found this gem! After looking around for what's on offer, we decided to settle into this place and we ordered Thai Green Curry with Prawns for $12.50. Great price, Great taste, Generous portion of prawns! Loved it!
The staff here are very welcoming and recommend a wide range if dishes to choose from. Wonton soup is has a flavoursome soup base and well cooked noodles, only thing was the wontons were overcooked. The rice dish is authentic with a generous amount of vegetables.
Wat are you waiting for? 1000 Wat is one of the many excellent Asian food places at Emporium - this one hidden in the basement. You order at the counter and find a table. Spicy, tasty Thai is soon delivered to you by smiling staff.
On a short break from a summer shopping mission, my friend and l stopped by for a speedy lunch. My Tom Yum soup was spicy, sour and saturated with plump prawns. My friend's vegie green curry was fragrant and filling. Together, we paid $19.50 - bargain basement prices for terrific Thai.
Tried the Durian Gelato from 1000 WAT a couple months ago. Only $5 for 2 generous scoops. The gelato was very creamy and the durian flavour was strong.
Always feel very welcoming coming here. Friendly staffs and amazing food. All their Currys are super delicious well presented. You can either pick from two authentic Asian food, sushi or thai. Both are great.
Had the Gai Yang chicken with Papaya salad. It was excellent, however, no denying that the portion sizes are on the small side. Probably a fair expectation given the cost of rent here!
Stumbled across this place today and it was mint. Tasty Springies & Pad Thai that satisfied my larger than preferable mud guts. Quick lunch option. Do it.
I stumbled across this little gem in the emporium today, it was busy but the service was really fast. I had the pad Thai which was a hearty sized serve with a matcha tea shake. Hit the spot! Will be coming back here again!
We ordered Chicken Katsu Bento box and vegetarian Tom yum fried rice for lunch. The fried rice was very tasty but the Chicken Katsu was a bit greasy and the rice was very sticky.
I came here for a taste of Thai in the city and wasn't disappointed. Ordered the pad Thai that took a little while to come but the flavours were good; a little chilli and a little lemon.
Big improvement. When I first tried 1000wat I was disappointed. My curry was colorless and the meat was tough. However a friend of mine recommended to try it another time. 1000% improvement. I had the green chicken curry and it was fast, tasty and only $9.80. The rice was really good rice too.
Thailand comes to Melbourne. Authentic Thai food is now available in Melbourne at 1000 Wat. As someone who visits Thailand 4-5 times a year on business and loves Thai food this is a wonderful find. We intend to become regulars. Try the spicy tom yum noodle soup
Fantastic Great venue Grea.... Fantastic

Great food best Thai in Melb
Had the Thai Boat Noodles for $6.90. Amazing value and delicious!
WAT THE. Wat The .... This place is such a great addition to the city - tucked downstairs at the Emporium it is light and bright and so welcoming - The Thai staff are as you would expect warm, friendly and informative.
The menus options are diverse and the quality of the food is great - some terrific Wrap options and the usual Thai favourites. I opted for a Laksa and a for something different a Tom Yum Wrap - both really tasted really great.
The thing I liked about 1000 WAT is that it was buzzing with atmosphere - casual but cool , service was excellent and the food came quickly and it is really well priced. There is also a RAMEN menu and I will try that next time. Fast friendly and fabulous - give it a try.
At last a restaurant that is true value for money, authentic and a relaxing atmosphere especially during a busy lunch! going again tmr!
I’m so surprised how underrated this place is 😮 I absolutely love this place and keep going back. Have tried their no.2 & 3. Both really good! Love the level of spiciness. Hubby had crispy pork fried rice which is also tasty! Great value for money!
Noodles weren't at all bad, meat was ok i asked for spicy and it was numbing
I go here about once a week. The quality of the Thai food is incredible for the price. It's a very simple restaurant combined with a Japanese restaurant. Order your food, receive a number, find a take and wait for your food to arrive at your table. Simple, fast and great food.
Unique Dish: Tom Yum Soup paired with QQ Authentic Thai Fragrant Rice of the right texture.
The tangy soup flavours paired with seafood fresh from the fishermen’s boat will make you get a second helping of rice!
Service: Servers are neat, well presented, smiling & polite.
Atmosphere: Wooden theme, Well decorated & Clean. Emporium Mall’s Temperature is Climate Controlled. Toilet is clean.
Crowd: Professionals.
The food turnover rate as I always see people dining and its never empty thus the food must fresh.
I give it 5 / 5 stars.
I will return to try different dishes & drinks especially the Thai Beers as they all look tasty.
I highly recommend you to bring your family, colleagues and friends there this week for a pleasant gastronomic experience.
:)
