Review Pizza Hut South Melbourne - Melbourne

This Pizza Hut is literally perfect every single time. We order ritually on Friday our pizza through Doordash and it arrives hot, fresh, divine every time. Generous topping, absolutely the best value for 3 x pizzas, 2 x sides and 1 x drink. Why pay $100 at the fancy places when you can get all of that for under $50? It’s also great the next day heated up in the oven. Delish.

After a long spell overseas, this place was my first option. The service and the food were both excellent. Don’t be afraid to order something other than pizza because whatever you order will be on point, sure as hell will be coming back. Or ordering delivery.

Pizzas arrived like they had been dropped upside down, store South Melbourne took zero responsibility, never called back when they said they would, then refused to take call from operator and insinuated it was my fault. Very poor quality pizzas and disgusting customer service.

Very bad service. I had very bad experience . The thing happens it was my break and I ordered hot and spicy veggie pizza i was literally very hungry i was waiting badly after 15 mins she said can you please have chicken pizza i said no i m vegetarian thats why i orderd that one . My break was going to over. So i said can you refund. She give me cash. Didn’t apologise. Nothing. I suggest please replace the front lady who is doing customer service. Very rude nd bad lady. Don’t go . Don’t waste your break.

Spoke to a horrible staff member last night following an Uber eats order that was 2 hours late. She explained the order was made and waiting for a driver, I queried whether this pizza that had been sitting for 2 hours would be sent or made again. She insisted the cold pizza would be sent because ‘I ordered from Uber eats what do you expect’. I asked to speak to a manager or someone more professional as she was clueless about customer service, kept insisting ‘I’m trying to help you’ but attempted to send me off to contact Uber support. I had already been in contacted with Uber support, who forwarded me to the restaurant. This ‘manager’ (if she claims to be) was very unwilling to accept any responsibility or assist at all. For someone that uses Pizza Hut worldwide this has seriously impacted our view of the company, that they think a 2 hour delay and sending a cold pizza with a rude response like that is acceptable.

For pizza delivery we usually call the St Kilda Beach Pizza Hut outlet which is much closer to home but when we're doing our Woolworths shopping in South Melbourne as we often do, we call in on this Pizza Hut outlet for a quick bite. The store isn't large by any means but still it has a small seating area and being small, it's normally pretty quiet and good place fora quiet meal. As usual with Pizza Hut, you get what you pay for, a medium pizza, taste so, so and a cold drink from $8!!! But the cheesy garlic bread is hard to resist and the caramel cookies are certainly worth considering. The staff is pretty friendly and the place is clean. Pizza Hut, improve the taste and quality of the pizzas and you'll get more stars.

Pizza arrive 45 mins late and was cold. Also they have tipped the pizza so all of the toppings had slipped off.

Great pizzas, fast delivery, friendly staff. I've been ordering pizza from this place for more than 2 years now, never let me down.

Delicious pizza with a crisp crust. A thick layer of topping which is rich in flavour. The meat is juicy and the base is firm and solid. Even though it was delivered, the pizza was still warm and crisp.

Given the abundant selection of Italian pizza joints around Melbourne, plenty of whom deliver, it's difficult to find a reason to eat at Pizza Hut to be honest. The pizza bases are so thick (you're filling up on bread essentially and it doesn't taste all that good) and the toppings are scant. Domino's does a much better job at a much more affordable price, not to mention the selection of American and Italian style pizza joints out there.

Unfortunately, this chain is difficult to recommend.

I got home to find out I had a bit of meat on my veggie pizza, which couldn't be mistaken for anything else.

I'll definitely go to dominos instead.

Amazing service! Wrong pizza was delivered however the staff there sent the correct one imidietly. The girl on the phone was lovely and so were the two delivery drivers. Amazing work guys! Keep up the good work.

There was one vacant table for the 5 of us but that table was covered in someone else's trash. Drink bottles, food crumbs, leftover food, dirty tissues, food boxes etc. When we got there all the other customers were already eating so the staff weren't busy. Even after mentioning that we are going to eat in, none of the staff bothered to clean the table for us. The attitude of the staff were very poor. They watched us clean the tables and we wiped it using tissues. Extremely rude staff. The tone and body language were negative. There was this one particular vile female staff, she was the worst out of them all. Very very arrogant and abrupt. Food was awful just like the staff. Disgusting! Soggy and oily. Didn't taste that good. Never again will i go back to this particular pizza hut branch. I do not recommend. Shocking! No such thing as customer service.

The team and I were in need of an afternoon sugar fix so somewhat ironically, we headed over to Pizza Hut for something from their dessert menu options. We had a voucher, naturally, explaining this lapse in traditional eating cycles. Eventually the staff figured the promo out and we went with two of the baked Hershey’s chocolate chip cookie ($6.95).

Served by a lady with an attitude problem. Would not validate a discount code - Am raising this with entertainment book. When you work in customer service it's important to be trained in customer service.

20 mins late and stone cold. Bugger all topping. Soggy and undercooked chips. Product looks far better on website than what turns up. Would not order from them again.

Tuesdays have the best pizza deal in town. Back before I became the food snob I am now, Pizza Hut used to be my favourite "mass-food" pizza chain in the United States. In Florida during the mid-1990s, the Hut used to offer an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet at lunch, with an AYCE salad bar plus unlimited refills on your soda for a ridiculously cheap price, like U.S. $5.99. I could put away 20+ pieces, more than two medium-sized pies, along with a plate of salad and two or three litres of diet Pepsi. I'd gorge like that at least once a month. I eventually kicked the habit because I'd feel sick and get heart palpitations afterward from the salt, fat and chemical overload. But I still remember Pizza Hut fondly.

The chain in Australia offers a deal on Tuesdays when you can buy two medium-sized pizzas from their average range for $10. Ever since I got a flyer for this in the post, it's been nagging at me to try that deal. I finally gave in. For research purposes only, just like the Japanese whale-killers, of course. I wanted to see how Aussie Pizza Hut compares to its American parent.

Sadly for my blood pressure, but happily for my taste buds, this Pizza Hut's stuff is not bad! The base on the thick-crust 'za was just like I remembered from the U.S. I don't know how Pizza Hut does it -- probably some chemical additive that would horrify me if I was aware -- but the bottom of their thick crust has a crunchiness like it had been brushed with olive oil before baking. The red sauce is mildly spicy like the American version, and the Hut is generous with its toppings. (Not as abundant as Patony down the street, though.) My only whinge is that there's not enough mozzarella, but I say that about almost every pizza Down Under. In America, cheese is sprinkled like snow. It's one of the reasons why Seppos are so fat. I might be having that problem myself, because now that I know I can get this fantastic bargain of two pizzas for $5 each (only on Tuesday) I'm plotting when I can go back here and do it again.
