A breakfast of French toast and a healthy smoothie was a great way to start the day. Happy with the portion size and the toast was cooked to perfection. Staff are lovely. Being a nice day I ate outside but there is inside dining as well. Nicely located on the corner of Little Collins and Swanston Street, it gets a lot of passing trade. Plus it has funky sculptures out the front. Wheelchair accessible if you head up the Little Collins Street side. Kid friendly. Pram and stroller friendly.

The cafe is so nice. However, i didnt manage to try the food but the coffee is pretty good. I would recommend the matcha latte which taste so nice and awesome. Would come here to talk with my friend while discussing my business with a really good environment:
For an early morning coffee, I wouldn’t say no. I haven’t eaten here in years so I’m basing this on the almond milk latte I had at 8am... but then again the start to a great day begins with a great coffee and this was a great coffee.
Love that this cafe is open when you need it no matter what time in the night/morning it is! Love their chai and their baked new york cheesecake. They have a great range of canes. They might be as posh as other coffee shops and is a little low key but this is our go-to place when we want to chill out and have coffee in the middle of the night. There are not much choices in the cbd

Great food, great service, great location and ambience. Makes a stellar parma and the staff are really nice :) Nothing to complain about, so i went back the same day for coffee and their chai latte was great!
Went there for breakfast on a Saturday morning - lovely vibe, friendly service and great food! We both had the big breakfast and it didn't disappoint. Poached eggs were spot on! Will be back next time :)
Excellent location and a great vantage point to see the street performers. Affordable food and delicious smoothies!Good choice if you want a quick and easy meal
Sunday brunch eggs Benedict 4 me & French toast for her & 2 iced coffees. Perfect poached eggs, lovely bacon in ideal portion sizes. Yum.
Right in the heart of the CBD, the coffee here is not the best around but it's ok, but the food is actually quite good - the breakfast menu is simple but fresh and tasty.
I like it!. During a recent short stay in Melbourne, this place was a haven. Just across the street from our hotel, the food was always great and the staff were lovely. This place became our go-to breakfast spot, with fast and friendly service, as well as affordable prices, I don't know why these reviews aren't all raving!
Great coffee, come here often, waitress very friendly, service great!
Had Thai beef salad for lunch and soy hot chocolate. Beef was nice and salad was bit different from usual. Although the salad was mainly red cabbage and red onion it was still tasty when eaten with the well cooked beef even though it was a bit hard to eat as the fork just couldn't get the salad well!
The staff were lovely but seemed disoraganised, food was good, atmosphere was ok, price good.

Only reason you should come here is convenience and that it's 24/7, don't expect anything more and you'll be fine

Good Latte. I've been here a number of times and have never really thought much about it - it's always seemed quite average. I've never sampled the food - it doesn't particularly look that great. The coffees are what you'd typically expect. The green tea latte I had the other day was particularly noteworthy though, I really enjoyed it. Nothing better on a winter night. For $4, I was satisfied paying that amount. However, a friend just got some tea for the same price (twinings) - rather expensive for something so cheap from the local supermarket. Nevertheless, it gets a like just because of how much I liked the green tea latte.
The change.. From the inside to the outside of Café L'incontro, this place has majorly changed within in and I'm not kidding, but yes, even the toilet has been renovated. This place now, could be considered as an average Australian café and has a standard where it keeps up to.
Even though before I would say so myself, it wasn't a place where I would come too often to but now, I find myself being there quite regularly.
I believe that if you would come again to it, I think most people would have a different view on it.
Although there are places for improvement, but so what? Not everywhere we go to, is.
Convenient lunch. We weren't too sure about this place, but it was the least crowded on the day. We sat outside and it was ok, although the ground does need a good hose down.
We were served quickly and both had the L'Incontro Burger with Beef. The place wasn't overly busy so we were a bit surprised having to wait nearly 30mins for our burgers.
The burgers arrived and were worth waiting for. Very fresh buns with a good size patty and several strips of bacon as well as cheese and a good tasting sauce. A good size serving of french fries and a small, but adequate salad accompanied the burger.
While it wasn't worth the $18.50 they charge for it, it was fresh and tasty.
Overall and average experience for the money.
