Got this deal from Groupon- $19.50 for coffees and breakfast for 2.. But you can only choose from limited menu (only 4 options available).. We had Pork & Potato on Sourdough and Fresh Toast..
When we arrived the kitchen wasn’t ready and we were treated to a couple of free coffees.. Pretty decent food and coffee..
Location of the shop is a bit out of place as the signage isn’t very obvious..
Good experience and would come again..

I took my friend here for her birthday. Its this cute place hidden away off Flinders Lane. My first impression was that it was quite small, there aren’t that many tables available given that the bottom part is that kitchen. Unfortunately, I had stomach cramps half way through the meal so couldn’t fully absorb the taste. My first impression of the food was that it’s delicious street food, but plated nicely. This was a 5 course meal.

The first dish was spring rolls to share. This was served with sweet chilli sauce and iceberg lettuce, a typical Asian dish. This was extremely crunchy and delicious, an excellent starter. Following this, we were presented with crispy pork belly in baos, which were super soft and easy to eat. The vegetables that accompanied the crispy pork was a great choice. We choose red chicken curry tacos and Pork belly stir-fry to share, which was super delicious and had my stomach not been in pain, I would have loved both dishes a lot.

The best part of the meal was the dessert. I thoroughly enjoyed the icecream (although it just tasted like normal icecream) and the thinly sliced green apple was a perfect addition to the icecream- I loved it!

Overall, the atmosphere of the place radiated “romantic date” vibes and I would definitely recommend this place to couples looking for a quiet, yet formal restaurant to have a date at.

Excellent place, had a 5 course meal here, everything was cooked to perfection and was delicious.

Was also pleasently surprised at some of the creative flairs on some of the dishes, such as the delicious spring roll coating, the extremely soft and fluffy taco 'shell' and to my surprise; lychee in a curry.

The place is a bit small and the tables as well, but otherwise its a romantic and cosy place with excellent food that I must recomment.

Asian inspired ... and mostly good.

Iconic, classic Melbourne location, Manchester Lane, near Flinder lane ... underneath the Manchester apartment, Paris feel ... :-)

Quaint, indoor and outdoor seating area, dimly lit, comfortable interior, a few post modern artworks and and underground open kitchen.

Food wise ... brunch was quite sensational on a few fronts ... 9/10 $16.00 Asian Omelette and Corn Fritters, easily one of the best in Melbourne, Smashed Avocados with two poached eggs, how it should be, note to other brunch establishment ... the only concern was the Pork Croquete, just one croquette (why?) in the sea of Asian stir fry, snake beans too, poached eggs and toast (don't need them), just doesn't gelled on the plate ... all humongous in size and reasonably priced.

Latte was ordinary, so were those Chai lattes, milky and not spiced enough.

Service was ok, could be a bit more attentive, yes, I know it's Easter Monday, a public holiday ... but we came marching on from the Eastern suburb for some good brunch ... Overall, a newbie but their Asian inspired brunch is spot on, a few tweaking but mostly good, thank you.

I think they do dinner and a few vinos on display looks good too. JT-02/04/2018.

By far, one of the best groupon places I've tried. It's always a risk to try new places on groupon and some are hits while others are big misses but this place = HIT. I would definitely reccommend coming here for dinner. It consisted of a 5 course meal for 2. Our first dish was an entree of spring rolls. There were 2 spring rolls which tasted amazing and didn't resemble store bought ones like other restaurants do, however they were quite small and we were initially worried for the rest of the meal as the serving size was tiny. It would've been perfect if they had served 2 each. The next course was the crispy pork belly baos and they were also great. Crispy and went well with the colourful slaw but could've had a bit more dressing. The next was by far the best of the night. Although it wasn't what I expected in a traditional stir fry as it came in a claypot. It was beyond expectations. The meat just melted and was super tender. The red chicken curry was alright, nothing special and a little spicy, although the surprise lychee was different, but a good different. To end the night with the banana fritters was perfect. These fritters didn't wear a thick coat of batter compared to other common banana fritters out there but overall the dish wasn't a standout but it was still a delicious way to end the night. Also if youre not a huge wine connoisseur, they let you exchange the drink.
Overall, GO FOR IT! the highlight being the pork belly stir fry. The dark candle lit decor makes it a romantic atmosphere and to top it off, service was attentive and quick.

Dined here for lunch today. We ordered the lunch specials for $12 each. I had the baked sweet potato salad with fresh beetroot, quinoa, orange & roquette & hubby had the soft shell crab burger. We both enjoyed our meals. I also had a fresh chai & it was delicious.

Booked dinner here recently for my bday and it was delicious! Great lil joint off flinders lane. Beautiful fitouts. Have few seatings. Easily booked online. We were there on a Thur evening and it was pretty quiet.

LAMB SHANK $21.00 - slow cooked lamb shank that melted off the bone! Great flavours. Unfortunately it wasnt much of a massaman curry for me as there wasnt enough curry for me to cover my rice with it!! Servings were a bit smaller but good to share.

CRISPY PORK BELLY STIR FRY $22.00 - pork belly was as cripsy as i expected. Nicely braised. Lots of veggies. Very light dish.

THAI SALAD $16.50 - very refreshing. Good amount salad e.g bean shoots, cucumbers, tomatoes etc. The thai dressing was delicious. Great amount of sweet and sour and spices.

Overall very good meal. Smaller portions but the 3 dishes was good to share for 3people.

The baked salmon and mango was outstanding - vastly exceeded my expectations. The lamb tacos were similarly fantastic. So healthy and fresh. Perfect portion sizes. I'll be back in a heartbeat!

Tucked away in a lane between Collins St and Flinders lane. Kuaizi Bar is one of those 'looks good, I'll try it' kind of places. Can't put my finger on what it wants to be but that's besides the point. It's got a chill kind of charm to it which is always good for me.
Service, prompt. Casual.
Orderd a latte. Never tasted anything like it. It is coffee but with something else. It is delightful. I won't spoil you with the roast or roaster, you'll have to try it yourself.
Ordered the Greens and Grain with pork, the pork is I think roast pork belly (cooked well). Salad could have done with a jus or a dressing or sauce or even zest. But that's just me. The spice is nice enough.
Give Kuaizi a go if you're tired of Degraves St cafes.

Hidden away in a small lane within Melbourne CBD, this place serves wonderful lunch meal. My friend and I tried the chicken and pork sliders which were totally delish! They also allowed me to swap potato chips for sweet potato chips and no extra cost! I'll be back for sure!

Ordered their espresso, it was exactly what I was looking for. A woody taste with a strong cacao taste. For lunch had their pork belly espresso glazed, it was cooked till the skin was crispy. The fats melts in your mouth while the meat breaks away easily. The was so yummy~! Nom Nom Nom~!!!😍💕

The only fault I can find is that there is not enough pork belly~!!!

Oh my gosh I came here tonight for dinner with 3 others In Melbourne for 5 days and unsure what to expect. The staff were so welcoming and the service excellent. We did the roller coaster menu option while initially a little confusing the staff were more than happy to make sure we got value for money. Absolutely amazing food. Would definitely recommend a must visit if you are ever in Melbourne. Thanks guys we really enjoyed the experience😊

Had a great dinner with drinks to follow with friends - had to admit I was surprised with the level of service and the quality of food. It was a fusion of Asian flavors with modern twists - every dish was unique but so tasty! Oh, and very reasonably priced!

We went to Kuaizi Bar for lunch this last week-end while in Melbourne, having stumbled into Flinders Lane and chanced upon the establishment and its menu, which appealed to us.  The cuisine is best described as Asian fusion with a twist.  We sat outside, initially to enjoy the laneway ambience and initially the shade.  We chose three share plates:  Flash-fried calamari in an interesting coconut and chili source, with a smoky nuance; chicken ribs in batter with a sweet spicy sauce; and okra, deep-fired and covered in crushed seared cumin and fennel.  The ribs were a novelty, as were the deep-fried okra.  The dishes were generous, and despite being heavy on the fry, they were uniformly delicious.  We'll try to replicate the ribs and okra at home.  The wine by the glass and the beer were reasonably priced, and service was excellent.  The only fault related to the laneway, which at this time of year acted as a veritable trap for hot sunrays on a warm day as the sun passed overhead, forcing us to move close to the front window to escape being deep fried ourselves!  The staff are aware of this, and we understand there are plans for awnings to rectify this problem.  Kuaizi Bar is a great spot for a light but interesting and inexpensive meal.  We'd go back to explore the menu further.

Interesting fusion food that tickles your tastebuds. We ordered the beetroot cured salmon with wasabi avocado puree and snake beans on poached eggs & toast, and the Asian omelette in roti. The cured salmon dish had a nice mixture of flavours, the eggs were perfectly poached and the wasabi avocado puree tasted special. The only downside was it being slightly oily. The toast was soaked in oil and there was also a layer of oil on top of the poached eggs and snake beans. Other than that it was really good. The omelette dish lacked distinct flavours but the chilli sauce that came with it was really yummy. It was only mildly spicy and had a satay flavour as well. I asked for an extra serving of the sauce to go with my dish because I can also dip my toast in it. We were super full by the end. Our glasses kept getting refilled and service was very attentive. Definitely a place I'd come back to.

Cozy and small. Spring rolls and pork baos were very fresh and exceptionally tasty. Banana dessert was successfully done. Service is a bit slow so expect to wait for 5mins for each dish to come

Amazing place in the city. We enjoyed the Hangover Burger and the Grizzly Pancakes. Delicious! They changed their beer menu and allowed to taste those not on the menu. Too bad we paid a bit more at the end. The receipt was wrong. But we guess this is because we changed place from outside to inside. Overall; great place!

This was our best meal out on our vacation. Innovative menu with Asian fusion theme, excellent food (we asked for spicy, they delivered), and warm, hospitable and friendly staff. Will definitely be back again.

Went in to enjoy the coffee as my husband had been there before on Wednesday unfortunately he said he had better from them but my first time it was alright. The service wasn't too bad but felt a bit unwelcome. But maybe I read into it wrong. It's a nice place to have a coffee while walking around the city.

A great place with nice vibe and super prompt and friendly services without overdoing it. One of the waiters, Peter, stood out in particular with his superb attention to details. The foods are quite delishy and unique although the portions can be a bit more generous.

The chilli beef lunch special was really good (would've preferred more spicy but the flavour is there) Quick service and nice coffee. Will be back again to try more.

Delicious food and coffee! My partner and I were visiting Melbourne last week and stopped off for breaky. I had a tumeric latte and the semolina porridge, they even made mine vegan. Lovely thank you!
