A fantastic cafe that could be Kew’s best kept secret! Wonderful menu choices and great coffee made by friendly baristas. Would highly recommend the smoothie bowl!

I love this place. It’s not fancy - which is good. It serves delicious, honest, homemade fare. Pies and muffins are the best. Coffee is fantastic and the staff are always a delight.

Friendly, fun staff who really make you feel welcome is the first point of call. Back that with fantastic coffee in a quirky little indoor and lovely little outdoor space with a good cause and it's hard to go wrong. Always a good experience here and even though I've now moved out of Kew I will always go there when possible, looking forward to it 🙂 Thank you to the wonderful staff who make the place feel like a second home

Brilliant concept and execution. I go to a lot of coffee shops. Very impressed by Sparechair and will be back. Good but limited food, friendly service, quiet as tucked in off the main road. Parking can be tricky but the guys tell u where u can find a non permit spot. Spairchair is attached to the local community centre and I learned that it is run as a not for profit cafe. This really impresses me as I find such persons involved are giving, loving people, often brilliant at their job and passionate about the success of the business and their community at large. Would like to see small Govt interest free loan schemes to promote more of these not for profit community businesses, as a little seed money can drive a lot of community connection and harmony, and in turn better mental health outcomes for vulnerable people within the community (who are often helped by the not for profit cafe). I noticed this cafe host various out of hours men's shed catchups and the learned cook was teaching disadvantaged school aged kids in the community centre. Didnt enquire but assume they do a lot more as that's the point of the not for profit model- all profit goes into community programs. Again why wouldn't you want to buy your coffee at a place that facilitates such great community outcomes. Brilliant to see and will be back to support as I know my presence promotes social good. Really impressed and well done/ thank you to all involved. 11 out of 10 from me.

I love this place. The coffee is not too acidic, not watery and weak, it’s just right. The food is 5/5 on freshness, tastiness and price. The menu includes a variety of mini pizzas with freshmade thin crust bases, homemade foccacias, quiches and vegie bakes, egg or chicken point sandwiches, incredible fresh salads, a selection of house made biscuits, slices and desserts. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is perfect for a coffee date or meeting, or family outing. The two outside spaces offer even more versatile seating arrangements. Best of all, it’s a social enterprise, meaning all money is reinvested into the business and community centre next door. They also do catering! This place is utterly lovely and I can’t recommend it enough.
