we ordered their takoyaki, salmon sashimi and unagi don and it was all so yummy! the portion size for the unagi was a bit disappointing as most of it was rice but the unagi eel itself was so fresh and soft! we asked if they could make it a bit spicy and they added some japanese chilli seasoning that worked really well with it!
the takoyaki were very plump and were dressed with the usual okonomi sauce and kewpie mayo, plus heaps of bonito flakes and spring onions! the actual amount of octopus inside was a bit underwhelming again but these were still sooo yummy and soft.
the sashimi tasted very fresh and the pieces weren't too thin. they came with some freshly shredded carrot and lettuce which was a nice touch!
overall, high quality food but a bit of a higher price point than other places.
I ordered the Aburi Spicy Salmon Pressed Sushi and Lava Roll and honestly, they are definitely a value for money and delicious! They both are slightly spicy though so if you like spice, you’re gonna love these dishes 🥵 My only fault would be with the lava roll because I felt that the scallops were abit scarce but the filling itself was generous and the Aburi Spicy Salmon Pressed Sushi was super duper generous! Loved all the sushi I tried there!
I had a Sushi Combo box with Miso soup today for lunch. I ordered it using MeakPal so got a good deal. The Sushi was prepared nicely and the flavor was really good. There was a mix of different sushis in the Combo, but I thought the best one was chicken Teriyaki. The flavor of the chicken was really nice. It was fried chicken, so it had a different texture than the rest of the Sushis. I really like the Tuna one as well. I also got a miso soup which was nice and hot. The flavor was nice, but I added a bit of sriracha to it because I love Sriracha and I wanted to add a little bit of spicy flavor to the soup.
All in all this place has a lot of deals going on on different platforms and is a very good option to go for a quick and tasty meal for lunch. The guy who was at the counter was really nice and quick as well.
We have ordered the 54 piece platter several times via groupon. Awesome deal and great value of money. We normally send our order via email to Sushi Lian 24 hours prior to pick up and they are very quick in replying and confirming the order. The fish are very fresh and the platter is very nicely presented. 54 pieces of mini sushi rolls, inside out rolls, pressed sushi and nigiri. The only downside is that they close at 5pm, so we always have to leave work super early to make it in time to pick up our order. Nevertheless, love the sushi platter here and looking forward to see more additions in the platter.

✔️54 piece platter: I genuinely loved every piece that was included in this platter. Each was made of fresh ingredients and the raw fish pieces had a nice texture without any signs of "fishy-ness". The special pieces with sauce and extra toppings were made perfectly with the right balance of seafood pieces and crunch!

Small corner restaurant with very simple decor and a large window to people watch if you choose to dine in. The set up of Sushi lian appears to be catered for takeaway meals as there's not much of a dine-in ambience/vibe. Nonethless, it is clean, conveniently located and is definitely worth it to drop by for a quick bite during lunch hour or takeaway dinner after work. Highly recommended!
I got the sushi platter off groupon and it was a great deal. Very value for money. The sushi was fresh and made just before your chosen pick up time which was very impressive. The fish tasted fresh and yummy. However the tuna mayo was a miss as it was very dry. Nonetheless, the overall experience was a positive one. Well recommended!
Ordered a 56 piece platter. Better than expected and everything was made fresh and tasted good. One of the better options for sushi in the city. Have recommended to friends and will be back.
Loved it! Ordered a 40 piece platter online (had to do so 24 hours in advance). The chef and owner was there when we picked it up. Came across as genuinely focused on quality and taking a real pride in his craft.
Three of us just finished eating it. It was great. Some traditional / typical pieces and some very creative pieces. Quality (even rice quality) was noticeable. Real effort on each ingredient. Two of us have lived in Japan previously and we both said it was the best quality sushi since those times.

Edit: I have since ordered a few sushi platters from Sushi Lian and they are awesome. Super generous, great value, high quality, and lots of delicious interesting flavours.

Tried a beef bulgogi sushi sandwich ($3) as an afternoon snack. It was flavoured well, and was generously filled with beef, avocado and cabbage.
The beef was a bit fatty however, and didn’t quite work cold, as there were congealed fatty bits through out.
The store is very simply laid out, and easy to miss as you walk along Queen street.
I look forward to going back and trying some of their sushi packs - they have some creative sounding flavours.
Sushi was so fresh with beautiful flavours. Sushi sandwich was so good and very healthy. I especially like the Sashimi platter! It was awesome! Highly recommended the sushi and very well priced.

Very yummy sushi. Shame on me that I didn't take a photo of the dishes but I loved the miso soup with the crunchy salmon roll. Everything is prepared fresh and with quality ingredients. You must give them a try :)
Jerry is the owner of this place. This man of few words work long hours and makes great sushi and I do like the crunchy spicy pork rice. Don't worry if you noticed the empty display cabinet, fresh sushi and sashimi are usually made to order.
Absolutely delicious and great value. I purchased a 42 piece platter from Groupon. It was tidily packed in 3 containers. There are a variety of different types of sushi roll, salmon, tuna, prawn, egg etc. The rice itself is nicely flavoured (sugar and vinegar) and the ratio of rice to ingredients is well balanced. The sushi roll in the middle box is quite complex as there are layers of ingredients within the rice itself. In particular I loved the aburi salmon roll.
