Authentic Malaysian cuisine ,foods was good and comes to your table very quickly .Menu options is huge and pretty pictures make you want to try everything. Great place to hang out with friends and family. Good Value for money ,great job guys ,keep it up.
I love coming here, never had an issue. Fav dish is the crispy noodle soup. Food comes out quickly sometimes a little too quick. Always can get a table even if it’s just walk in, last minute
The food was good in taste but was not very hot.
The service was poor and I believe the staff does not understand the guest requirement.
I ordered cold Teh Tarik which was great but I asked them without ice and they still had half a glass full of ice.
I asked them to take the ice out and they took the ice out but the glass then was not even half full.
I was expecting them the full the glass if they are charging full price.

Visited today for my first time and absolutely loved it! Already planning to come back and visit next week.
We had the roti with sandal dhal and curry sauce, seafood laksa, char koay teow, plus prawn dumplings.
The food was absolutely amazing, fresh and the roti took my tastebuds back to a recent trip to India. If sharing this between two, order an extra piece of roti.
Char koay teow was smokey and beautiful in flavour, tasted like something from a Singapore hawker centre.
Dumplings serve small but a great taste.
The seafood laksa was beautiful, creamy and very generous. The mussels in particular had a beautiful taste of the ocean.
Coconut and lychee drinks were both refreshing.
Only con was that the food came out so quickly and all at once, so it was hard to eat everything together. Next time we will maybe fill out a order slip for entrees first, and then mains once finished.
Two mains, dumplings, roti plate with extra roti, two drinks $60. Great value for a very filling meal for two.

Craving for a paratha and chicken curry; now you know the place. The taste is so good and prices are reasonable. Other options to explore as well but I am in for paratha and chicken curry!
Pretty decent Malaysian/singaporean food. We had the chicken rice, which was really garlicky, but the chicken was succulent, smooth and well seasoned. I liked the side of beansprouts served as well. The rice itself could afford to have a stronger chicken flavour and could do with a bit of sesame oil. Nevertheless, it was a decent place to get your fix of singaporean/Malaysian food.
We used to love going to papa rich in the cbd. The northland one is exactly the same. U get what you pay for. Fast quick service. Big meal sizes
Massive bowls of laksa. Love the ribena drink. Its not the best Malaysian I've ever had but it's good value. No frills.
I love eating at Paparich and this is our local one that we go to. It does get busy during peak times and they have waiting chairs that you can sit on. My favourite food on the menu is the roti bread! We always get the roti (normal) with dips and curry chicken. You can even get it to takeaway! The roti is light and fluffy, and tastes delish! The Sambal sauce is perfect, sweet and spicy. The iced milk tea is also my favourite! Another drink I usually order is the iced mango slushie, which comes with lychee jellies. The fried chicken skin is too oily for my liking.
I absolutely love your fish head noodles!!! I can't get enough of it! Thank you for opening one up in the north! Now I don't need to travel to the east for it.
Wow loved the coconut smoothie that was the best I've ever had. The food was delivered to our table in less than 5 minutes after we ordered what the?? Couldn't believe the efficient service. The biriyani was great authentic dishes as good as what we had in Milaysia.
To me this is probably our fave Pappa Rich outlet. A while back they had the vouchers which made the Curry Fish Head noodles awesome value. And yes, they allowed us to order the most expensive dish (even though it probably was not allowed) - good for them, we've now gone back there a few times and ordered this same dish. Wish they had the vouchers again though ;)
In general service here is pretty good. Whats' disappointing is that they've upped the prices which makes other Malaysian eateries better value. But the curry fish head noodles is worth paying for.
My mum wanted to try some Malaysian food so we decided to take her here. My partner and I do come here quite frequently and it's always quite satisfying. The food always comes out the same and tastes great. Service is friendly and convenient. This is a must try if you haven't been! Nice simple good food!
Don't understand he low ratings. The place was very full which is always a good sign for restaurants. I are it for what it aims to be. You don't go here and expect Vue de Monde. We loved our meals and the waitresses were very friendly.
It was absolutely no doubt the BEST Malaysian food I have ever had and by far THE BEST! And ive had some good food in my life! :) All clean plates tonight!! :D
My better half enjoyed this one very much. The service was attentive, the venue clean, the food tasty and delivered to the table promptly.
All in all you couldn't fault it, (probably due to the fact it's a chain) it creates a certain level of confidence that you'll get wha you expect to get. A no brainer!
I like this PappaRich more than the City of Chadstone one, much more quieter and more room inside. As a franchise you know what you're going to get. Food is good but it's never amazing. Very consistent and not expensive.

As a starter we always have the Roti Canai with Beef Rendang, I love the Roti here, it's always cooked to perfection, has that little bit of crunchy. The dipping sauces are well balanced and work well together. I've been too many of the PappaRich franchises across Melbourne and I've enjoyed it every time. The Seafood Curry Laksa is delicious, the broth is rich and well balanced and comes with a little hit of spice, but if you are like me and love your spicy food make sure you ask for extra spice. The ingredients are impressive, I had 2 mussels, 4 prawns and a decent amount of the fish cake slices plus an abundance of egg and rice noodles.
The drinks are nice as well, but I do find most of them to be very sweet. The Lychee Soda is refreshing and is often my choice.
Where you eat and what you choose decide the taste and mood of the restaurant. I got curry laska, coconut rice , poached chicken and so on. It is quite good. It is quick to get your food when you are hungry.
Love. This. Place. Been here a couple of times, just brilliant Roti Telur Bawang with curry chicken, delicious chili sauce. The Roti is by far the best I have ever had. Best Malaysian option I have found in the area. The chicken curry wasn't too oily but had great flavour as well which is hard to find. Great selection of drinks as well, iced chocolate was the perfect accompaniment to cool the chili burn. Service was brilliant the first time, fast the second time but a bit despondent, hence not perfect score.

PappaRich is a bit of a mixed bag. Some dishes are great, some are lousy.
I for one love Malaysian food. When I was in Malaysia I ate as much as I could, which probably wasn't good for me, but it was worth it! I hadn't had much Malaysian since that trip and it was great to experience these flavours again.
I really enjoyed the variety of roti dishes, the condensed milk toast, and the Malaysian style drinks. However the noodles were no where near up to scratch and the dumplings were nothing special.
I have heard people complain about the price, and that you can get the same food twice as good and 3 times less expensive in Malaysia. Well yeah, but it's a bit of a commute just from my house just to get a quick meal.
Know what to expect. It's nothing fancy, but the flavours are there. I believe if you pick the right dishes you can have an excellent meal. If you pick the wrong ones, you're screwed. I will definitely be trying again to see what else is good, and I have been craving condensed milk toast ever since this meal!
Good paratas (Malaysian style) loved the curry option. Don't miss out on their desserts, especially paratas stuffed with banana n butterscotch ice cream on top of it

Had the Nasi Lemak with curry chicken, Egg Noodles with steamed chicken, Mee Goreng (Fried Noodles)
The Nasi Lemak was average, the sambal (chili) was not spicy enough plus the fried anchovies were hard, curry chicken was good although not alot of good meat (too much skin and chicken fatty areas)
Mee Goreng was really good, nicely fried and quite flavourful
The soy noodles was average, nothing special
Prices for food was worth it considering the portion given. Service was quite fast and food came quickly

After reading the bad reviews I was pleasantly surprised. My wife had been before so I thought it would be OK. The place had a nice atmosphere, seats are comfy, staff are pleasant and food is pretty good and reasonably priced. Good to try some different flavours. We were the only non Asians there which is a good sign.

Came in for quick dinner tonight, so disappointed to order the curry laksa fish fillet noodle, would not recommend to order at all, disappointed that they use the wrong type of fish to cook curry fish noodle, so furious that they charge so expensive for this dish but couldn't even deliver well. Based on this visit -rating 1/10

Today try the Pan Mee noodle soup, quite authentic consider they also prepare the special Pan Mee noodle, generous Pork mince and anchovies, personally wish the noodle can be slightly thinner. Rating 8/10

Rating based on today visit, been here few times but food taste better today, or maybe improved recently. Normally I prefer to go to Doncaster branch because their food taste better there.
Ordered chicken curry laksa + milk tea drink combo set $14.90. The curry laksa definitely taste better than before, I love they put a lot of friends shallots, the crispy bean curb and the fried eggplant. I prefer to have more spicy curry laksa but I guess hard to find anywhere at Melbourne. If they maintain this standard, I don't mind coming back again for curry laksa. Rating 8/10.
I have been craving malaysian food for a while, and am quite new to the Northern Suburbs, so when I found out there was a Papparich I was quite looking forward to it. The restaurant itself is nice, we were promptly greeted and had a seat. Their Malay style drinks menu is very big, so we took a while to decide. But once ordered (you have to write it down and get them to look at your order) the food and drinks came extremely quick. We ordered the steamed chicken with seasoned rice and beef rendang. I have to say my steamed chicken may have just slightly been on the plain side (maybe could do with some grated ginger and sesame oil like the Singaporean version) but the beef rendang had lots of flavours and tasted great. The service was very quick and I can't fault it apart from that. Next time would love to try the laksas as the tables had it near us and it looked pretty delicious.
Enough to heal my craving travelling to Malaysia!! Nice Kaya toast!! Love the cham, intense caffeine. I believe their milo dinosaur is kids pleaser!!

Quick service and tasty food. Enjoyed N17 the spicy noodles and Roti Canai Beef- so good! Fresh watermelon juice heavenly as well.
The food is yum!. I've been here several times and cannot complain. Dissapointing to read all the negative reviews as my experience here has always been good.

Authentic Malaysian Street Food. Fantastic and authentic Malaysian hawker-style street food. Love the 'Hor Fun' soupy noodles and Assam Laksa (tangy laksa with fish stock). Been here many times, always quick service and no-fuss.
We always get the soybean grass jelly drink, sounds strange but refreshing! Always busy with punters of malay, chinese and indian ethnicity eating here which is always a good sign. Not sure why the negative reviews, maybe others aren't used to the hawker style vibe? Good malaysian is lacking in this part of the woods, highly recommend!
