We went for pasta night and it was so yummy! We had the goats curd pumpkin gnocci, truffled mushroom gnocci (my favourite) and shared the spinach and cheese ravioli! Our favourite local restaurant never disappoints!
Loved celebrating Fio’s 1st birthday, and got the chance to indulge on an amazing feast of good food and drinks! We managed to try a lot of different dishes and we are definitely in love with the taste and presentation.
One of the best things about this place is that they have an amazing selection of burgers - definitely give them a try!
Visited Fio for their 1st birthday celebration and was really impressed with the consistency of each dish
Firstly, the coffee really good and I enjoyed it and the decor was simple and nice. We tried the dishes on their new menu and was impressed. My favourite was the lamb salad and the burgers.
Each dish was presented well and the portions were good. The burgers and sandwiches were next level and i recommend them if youre hungry!
Their sweet dishes were really good, the french toast especially. Really enjoyed the balanced of flavours and the texture of the french toast was on point
Definitely recommend this place for brunch or lunch. There are off street parking at the front so that comes in handy
I was in absolute heaven here with so much amazing food on offer. The shakes are so flavoursome, delish tasting burgs and omg so many sweets. I was in complete shock they just kept coming out from the kitchen. I'm definitely coming back time and time again. One of my favourite new places
Fio cookhouse & bar is a cosy & gorgeous cafe located in Bentleigh East. They have a wonderful breakfast & dinner menu with so many yummy options to choose from.
I loved the baked gnocchi it was so tasty & divine and cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed the pulled beef brisket burger, the beef was so tender & melted in my mouth!
The Coffee was great & The banana & pb smoothie was hands down the best I've ever had!!
Sweet tooths won’t be disappointed, as they have a great selection of desserts. The stand out to me was the Nutella / Tim Tam scrolls.
The service was fantastic & the staff were very friendly. I’m looking forward to my next visit again very soon!
This is an amazing little spot in Bentleigh and we were very impressed with their food offerings.
We have tried their breakfast, mains and dessert dishes - and all of them are so delicious.
The consistency in food and flavours is very impressive.
For beeakky the highlight dishes were the lamb with fritters, french toast and hotcakes. Amazing burgers and sandwiches for lunch and some delish desserts.
They also do salads, pastas and risottos- so they have good options to choose from. Gnocchi was so tasty and we loved it.
Also for drinks their caramel and nutella shake are amazing. So is their coffees.
The prices are decent and they have sufficient seating.
The staff are really friendly, so this place is much recommended.
We came here for lunch. We had the wagyu burger which was very tender and the crispy chicken burger which was crispy, tender and well seasoned. My wife also had the prana chai latte and enjoyed the spices coming through.
We went for dinner and the service and food were amazing. The marinara linguine were to die for. Will definitely be returning!
I really liked my beef benedict! It was full of flavour and their sweet potato rosti was AMAZING🤤 The place was neat and prices were reasonable. Staffs were friendly but there was no music and we were the only ones there so I felt like our conversation was shared by everyone (I’m a gossip girl during brunch catch ups😂) Maybe they could consider having some background music to improve the atmosphere/privacy next time? I’m not sure but I loved their interior and I will come back for some cocktails next time!😁🍸
A small cafe with yellow lighting and chill vibes. The staff are very attentive and friendly.
Mushroom rosti stack - well presented and the avocado matches well with the feta. The rosti overall is quite hard and doughy. The hummus is great though with a semi smoked taste.
Fio breakfast board - a wide range of food on the board: sweet baked beans, pulled pork, well fried chorizo and plump tomatoes.
Prana chai latte blended with soy milk is perfectly made, the right temperate, smoothe in texture and the honey adds sweetness ( a bonus is the honey is 100% Australian owned and made from Yarra Valley Jams). The cup it's presented in is also study.
Dropped in on a quiet Friday morning. We love the ambiance, service & food. Not sure why it wasn’t more crowded, location? Coffee was good, the Benny was very interesting with the clever use of sweet potatoes, almond croissant was exceptional.
Fio Cookhouse is a cosy new cafe and restaurant serving brunch, lunch and dinner. The owner and staff are all incredibly passionate and it definitely shines in the food and service they present. I was so excited to have dinner here and I was absolutely blown away from start to finish.
We started off with the Mezze Platter, which was huge! It has a bit of everything - from meat skewers, saganaki cheese, dips and bread, olives and chorizo. It really is the perfect platter!
The Rosemary Polenta Chips were insanely addictive! They were crispy and thick, and the garlic aioli was heaven. Definitely a must-order.
The Bruschetta was so delicious. It was refreshing and flavourful, and the perfect starter dish.
The Crumb Padded Avocado Wedges were amazing - who knew Avocado could be wedges! Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside - absolutely perfect!
The Arancini were mind-blowing! They were huge, super crispy on the outside and creamy and soft on the inside. The sriracha mayo sauce completed the dish. You have to try it!
The Paprika Dusted Calamari were so tender - I’ve never had calamari this tender before! It was so addictive and so good! Highly recommend trying it!
We then moved on to the mains. We had the Prawn Chorizo Linguine, Pumpkin Gnocchi (made vegan), Herb Crusted Salmon Fillet, and Mustard Lime Chicken.
I had the salmon which was incredible - it was cooked perfectly, and the cumin hollondaise just made it even better. I absolutely loved the couscous served on the side which was very fresh and flavourful.
Finally, we couldn’t finish without dessert. We had the Fio Date Pudding, Gelato Martini, Poached Pear (vegan) and Nutella Scrolls. I was absolutely mind blown by their desserts.
The sticky date pudding was divine! It’s warm, moist and sweet. The butterscotch sauce is delicious and balances out the pudding, and the ice cream adds a nice refreshing component to the dish.
Moreover, you HAVE to try their cocktails! Not only are they theatrical, but they taste amazing too! The drinks are very unique and I’d highly recommend trying them!
We had such an amazing time at FIO, and I definitely need to come back for their brunch menu soon!

I was blown away at Fio Cookhouse & Bar for dinner this week. I had one of the most amazing dinners & I can't want to go back sometime soon!
The interior was so intimate and lovely. There was a beautiful amount of flowers around the restaurant, which added some greenery to the space. The menus themselves continued the leaf/floral theme which was nice.
The food and drinks were incredible!
Mocktail: I had a fruity mocktail because I was driving. It was nice and sweet but not sickly sweet so I could finish it
Starters
Bruschetta, Mezze Platter, Arancini, Rosemary Polenta Chips, Crumb Padded Avocado Wedges, Paprika Dusted Calamari
Wow, all of these starters were delicious. I couldn't get enough of the crispy polenta chips, amazingly seasoned calamari and the fresh bruschetta
Main
Prawn & Chorizo Pasta: This was a lovely, fresh dish. I really enjoyed the tasty marinara sauce that covered the pasta. The prawns were cooked very nicely
Dessert
Fio Date Pudding: This was such a delicious sticky date pudding. The pudding was moist, with the perfect amount of sweet/butterscotch goodness
Gelato Martini: An amazing gelato, with lots of delicious, sweet toppings
Poached Pear: This was a special dish made for my vegan friend!
Nutella Scrolls: This was a Nutella feast I won't forget. Yummy pastry that covered the melted Nutella inside. The ice cream and berries in the dish helped cut through all the chocolate richness
The service was amazing. Maddie, the owner, was so lovely & passionate about her restaurant. The food came out in good time
Dined here for dinner with my wife. We ordered the share platter which consisted of a number of entree's and mains together, we also ordered a salad, hot chocolate and tiramisu. A good all round spread that definitely left us both full. The lamb skewer was the better of the 2 skewers available and the saganaki cooked perfectly. Dessert was fantastic.
Improvements: Bread with the dips. Chicken skewers, Salads.

Wow! I was blown away by the dinner menu at Fio!
For starters I tried the Bruschetta, avocado chips, olives and dips. So delicious!
For main, I had the pumpkin and spinach Gnocchi, and the flavours were amazing. Great serving size too!
For dessert, the chef whipped up something special, a poached pear with fairy floss, served with a yummy sauce and granola.
I also got to try some vegan pinot noir!
Not only was the food scrumptious, the service is amazing too. Owner Maddie will make you feel at home as soon as you arrive! I am so keen to go back to try the brunch/lunch menus!!

FIO is a well presented cafe with comfy leather chairs, greenery and sleek lighting. Brunch in this bustling cafe started with a piping hot latte and a hot prana chai latte full of spice, perfect for this cold morning.
We ordered a banana brioche French toast from the breakfast menu and the wagyu beef burger from the lunch menu.
The French toast dish was layered and delicious, Khalua mascarpone was topped with banana bread, ice-cream fairy floss. I drizzled over my caramel sauce. Despite being a sweet dish, I didn’t find it sickly at all, I loved the banana bread component which you could use to sop up the flavours of the mascarpone and caramel. Especially delicious with the half grilled banana that had been flambéed on the side.
The wagyu burger arrived with divine beer battered chips and skewered with gherkins and fried onion rings. The burger included a generous serving of cheese and a great salsa on the bottom. The patty was cooked well and was thick and tasty. I was seriously impressed with this burger.
As if to counter the burger I felt the need to go green with my smoothie and accompanied it with Green Machine. This contained a tasty blend of kale, avocado, spinach, cucumber, dates and coconut milk. This was tasty and mildly sweet and a great way to finish off a great brunch at Fio’s
As well as great breakfast and lunch FIO is open in the evenings where it served Mediterranean fare. I hope to get back and try this one day soon.
Thanks so much for having us.
Fio Cookhouse is a nice and modern new cafe in the area with lovely staff members. They have a very extensive menu with large portion sizes which is awesome. Amazing coffee too! ☕️👏🏼
We had:
1️⃣ Fio Breakfast Board 🥓
2️⃣ Salmon Rosti Stack 🍣
3️⃣ Mushroom Rosti Stack 🍄
4️⃣ Dukkah Eggs 🥑
We will definitely be back!
Real rating 4.3 ⭐️
We were recommended to try Fio Cookhouse as it recently just opened a few months ago! Here’s what we had!
French toast - I believe this was a special for the day and boy was it delicious! The bread crumbled into my mouth and the banana brûlée was a good addition to this!
Nutella and Tim tam hot cakes - served with crushed tim tams, ice cream and passion fruit with chocolate sauce on the side, this was a winner for me and here’s why! The hot cakes were thick and fluffy and most importantly moist! With or without the chocolate sauce as a dressing, the hot cakes itself is yummy enough to have! Being the sweet tooth that I am, I had added on the chocolate sauce for extra sweetness! This then became the hot cakes of my dreams!
Fio breakfast board - now this is a beast and stunner! Without going into too much details, the picture tells it all! Everything you could ever want for breakfast was served on a nice round platter! If you are a savory and hungry person, this is the board for you! Everything was pretty much on point except for the rosti which was a little over cooked.
Fio Cookhouse is a hidden gem which deserves more attention and we are happy to visit again for brunch and also for dinner! 🤩
Excellent coffee and food. Very reasonably priced. The Eggs Benedict and Dukkah eggs were so yummy 😋 The other food around us looked great as well. The staff is very friendly and the best part your dog gets a treat too!
As you can see by the absolute FEAST we had at Fio’s, it was an awesome feed. Brunch dishes were on point but easily the nicest surprise was the quality and creativity of the drinks.
How good is the pink gin and tonic with fairy floss ? Will be rushing back for the Tim tam pancakes and banana bread (sweet tooth!) for sure. Thanks !
Been for dinner and lunch and both times the food was amazing. Prices are fair but dishes are the quality of high end restaurants. Their chefs know what they’re doing.
This was my second time here and again I wasn’t disappointed. Great food, very tasty and a good size serve. Very well presented food, looked good on the plate and tasted equally great. Lovely staff with a big smile. Great selection on the menu.

Food was delicious, nice spot, servers need to communicate as they ask the same questions or 2 doing the same job, tables are a bit narrow and cant fit much on them once you food arrives. But is a nice cafe 👍👍
We come here regularly and the food is always top notch the coffee is great. The cocktails are amazing and the friendly staff and management make it a wonderful experience every time.
Not the first time, definitely not the last !!!
