capricho is like a direct rival to nandos - they started opening more stores recently and the one in glen waverley was a smart move as there’s no other portugese chicken in sight! the chicken was basted very well and was really flavourful, i would say the chips aren’t that great at all but half a chicken from here with some salad would make a good meal to share.
Went here for lunch with the girls and stumbled upon their lunch specials. I ordered the 1/4 chicken and chips. Very affordable.
Seats were comfortable The girls had a wonderful time. Service was also great.
If you love chicken I found a place that does amazing chicken and so well priced. The variety here is amazing as their is so much to choose from. The hot Habanero was outstanding! Can't wait to go back for another chicken fix soon. **Disclaimer: although the restaurant has generously invited me to their restaurant this review is still based on my genuine opinion.
My new favourite chicken joint , this is reminiscent of Nandos however the chicken is more juicy and the sauces are a lot better in my opinion ! The chips also are flavoured really nice , sort of a spicy seasoning
My partner and I come here every weekend. The food is consistently good. We are especially happy with one of the female staff as she always remembers our orders. Love the squid ink bun but it's not always available. The chips are usually quite overcooked. So if you don't like them too brown, you must tell them beforehand.

Capricho Grill is a chicken franchise in competition to Nandos – selling flame grilled chicken and a selection of salads and healthier “fast food” options. We visited their Glen Waverley store, in the food court of the new Glen shopping centre off Springvale Road.
We ordered two of their Jarritos sodas, which were delicious! It was nice to have an alternative to Coke, Sprite, Fanta etc. We had the guava and lime – both had a nice flavour (similar taste to a Cruiser, sans vodka haha)
On recommendation of staff, I ordered the crispy chicken burger that came with tomato, romaine lettuce & creamy truffle mayo. I was expected the chicken breast to be crumbed, but it was deep-fried. The chicken was nice and juicy, but the burger kept falling apart because everything was so slippery.
My friend ordered one of the special bowls that came with chicken, corn, cabbage & other delicious ingredients – which made me feel bad for ordering a burger! The bowl was light, yet unexpectedly filling, with chia seeds throughout. The marinade and the signature BBQ sauce was what made it differ from other fast food salads – very tasty!
We ordered the bacon loaded fries to share and could not finish them! The fries came topped with a trio of melted cheeses, crispy bacon crumbs and spring onion. The cheese did tend to get a bit hard, the longer they sat there, but the flavour was excellent.
Whilst there is steep competition in the chicken world, Capricho Grill offers a wide and delicious menu at very affordable prices! They have multiple store locations including the Glen, Richmond & Melbourne Central. Make sure to check them out ASAP ☺
First time trying Capricho Grill in the Glen. It has some sort of Mexican/Latin feel with its interior.
We got the Chicken salad bowl, chicken spare ribs with Lime & Herb sauce, sweet potato chips and a side of garden salad.
That sauce on those spare ribs, oh my gosh, were finger licking good. And whatever that salad dressing was (think it was some sort of balsamic dressing) was so yummy and tangy, great in salad. And of course can’t really go wrong with sweet potato chips, they were nicely fried and not oily.
Capricho grill is perfect for those who are busy or just want some quality quick meal fix, this place is the way to go!
The BBQ spare ribs was a winner in my eyes. It was juicy, sweet and packed with flavours. We paired that with the garden salad which adds a refreshing palate cleanser!
Another favourite one of mine is the sweet potato fries. They make them really crunchy here (no soggy chips, yay!).
We also ordered the chicken salad which was really good. But unfortunately, not on the same level as the spare ribs and sweet potato chips!
Overall, great experience and would definitely come back!
First tried the original burger which was quality at the lunch special price. The toasted brioche bun, succulent chicken, habanero sauce and fresh salad was very enjoyable. Since then have also tried the wrap and 1/4 chicken. These were both ok, but slightly on the small side.
Best Grilled Chicken Place in the Glen! Highly reccomend if you like chicken, chicken wings, chicken tenders and paella.
Visited during lunch time, and service was very great. Despite busy, staff were smiling and greeting everyone. Was personally reccomended the 1/4 Chicken♥️

Had a Medium Brazilian Burrito with chips here tonight. Beautiful fresh, tasty, tender chicken with delicious flavours and great chips to go with it. Staff are lovely too.
Favourite place to eat at Glen!! 💕💞 food is always fresh, and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Capricho has a great variety of menu options as well, can’t wait to try more items on their menu.
The chicken picante burger was amazing. The chicken pieces were generous, the sauces were very nicely balanced and the buns were fresh and soft. It is easily one of the best value for money burgers that you can get at the Glen.
The chips were delicious and crispy. We had asked for the spicy version and they were awesome. Even for the take out the chips remained crispy and warm.
Ordered the “Chicken Pealla” with the special Mexico drink “Jarritos”, it’s taste like Nando’s. Really enjoyed the meal. #recommended

Ordered Whole Chicken + Large side for lunch on Saturday. Total 24.95 AUD. Paid using Member Buy promotion, ended up only paid 15 AUD. Chose Spicy Chips for the large side.
The Chips were seriously crunchy, flavorful, and delicious! Definitely one of the best chips in Melbourne Metro area.
Chose Habanero Hot flavor for the Whole Chicken. The chicken was well cooked. Full of the "char-grilled" flavor. They were very generous with the sauce. If you are craving its competitor (Nando's) but this is the one that is available, try it, it won't disappoint.
Two thumbs up! Very high value for money, especially with Member Buy promotion.

I decided to try this place out because I was a bit excited about the Spanish theme as I'm south American. I ordered the chicken paella and 1/2 a chicken. Fair to say I'll be back, they are generous with their sauce unlike nandos. My chicken was a bit undercooked to what I prefer but still delicious. Fell in love with this franchise and hope they branch out all over.
Their mild habanero sauce was AMAZING with the right amount of heat and acidity. The chicken was juicy and the chips on point. The staff members were super attentive and hospitable, from the cashier to the manager. I'm usually a very difficult person to please, but personally my whole experience in Capricho was delightful. Recommended!!!
