Very surprised that my handbag was considered a backpack. It isn't even very big. They refused for me to be able to go in with it and i had to leave it and pick it up later. Apparently it is in the fine print I didn't read. Women were going in with bags twice the size of mine. Surely they can distinguish a handbag backpack from a backpack that carries cameras or books. My friend also had one that was red and tiny like a clutch purse. That was also refused.

Iconic tennis arena, showcasing some of the greatest ever tennis matches. Roger Federer has played here many times and here is one sample footage of what it looks like watching him play live.

A brilliant stadium for basically any event. No a bad seat in the house and sound is great. The food is nice however under prepared for volume of patrons can lead to very very long wait times. Better preparation would ensure quick turn around and happier patrons. We went for monster trucks and show started at 1. Traffic was a nightmare due to a local event so lost people didn't get there till right on one - no food was cooked and ready. It didn't take too long to start getting it out but by that stage lines around the stadium were huge.

One of the best spot in Melbourne. During AO this place rocks with international stars playing and entertaining the crowd. This year was very tough year yet the AO team pulled it with great preparation for COVID. Crowd enjoyed every bit of it. Hope in the coming years we can enjoy more tennis games. Rod Laver arena rocks.

Venue is exceptional with all the upgrades, however, food is tired and cardboard like to eat. Limited range of sauces to accompany food. Contract caterer would do well to lift standards. Food stands were limited in range.

Went to the PINK concert a couple of nights ago and it was a very good concert. However I’m not sure if it was the venue itself or the sound system but I have to say that the sound wasn’t that great .. it had a lot of reverb and echo and it was incredibly loud ... so much so that a lot of the sung words were distorted. And this slightly reduced the ability of the audience to fully engage with the show. The venue is easy to get to by public transport, and the crowd movement procedures has been refined down to as much of an art as possible given today’s security concerns. Seats are generally easy to get to, and there are a plethora of bars and fast food stands that charge exorbitant prices for pretty standard fare. My seat was in the back row of the lower tier on an angle to the stage left. So a pretty good seat all told. Everything was visible and not too far away at that distance. Any further back would have been too far and made me reliant on the large side screens for any sort of detailed viewing. Another concert experience was for Cher. A floor seat 8 rows from the front. Now I am really short so this seat was great for about a third of the concert but appalling for the rest, since everybody kept standing up and I could hardly see a thing. So best seats for almost anything seem to be the lower tier somewhat to the side.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience on the tour of the Australian Open. We visited (and got on) show court #3, went underground in Rod Laver, and on the rooftop. Overall, a great venue and I can't imagine the environment on tournament day!
