Felt like charcoal chicken but I didn’t want to go Red rooster any more so I decided to go to this place. The inside of the shop might throw you off a bit but don’t be fooled - If you want charcoal chicken and chips, I highly recommend this spot! The chips were very nice and crispy and salted the way it’s suppose to be salted. Chicken was very moist and the salad was super delicious! I wish I took a photo of the box of food because the portions were huge for its price. Definitely coming back here again.
Tried the lamb souvlaki here after finding out Zahari up the road no longer sells them. The place is nothing to look at and you'd drive right past if not looking for it. But the souvlaki is good. Around 1pm on a Sunday arvo we were looking for something else to eat, once we spotted the meat on the spit we were sold. They also offer chicken and pork souvlaki each $9.80. Souva was decent size filled with chunky pieces of tasty chargrilled lamb off the spit with lettuce, tomato, spanish onion and a good hit of garlicky aoili. The flatbread was nice and soft. Quite a few customers ordering take away while we ate there.
Will come back to try the charcoal chicken, they advertise La ionica chooks. No take away menu, card accepted. Parking out the front or park at Woolies and walk over.
This has to be the best tasting chicken I have had in ages! Golden and moist and the chips are crunchy and just perfect! Service with a smile with real value for money.
