I’ve never tried a fusion roll in my entire life before and honestly I’m so happy that it exists and the crunch roll is my all time favourite.
Firstly, I love Sushi and this place does it pretty good. It is a shop inside between few food outlets and hence gets missed sometimes, but they do amazing sushi and specially the big rolls. I am specially a fan of Crazy chicken roll, which is not like normal small sushi roll but is one big roll cut into 10-11 small sushi slices. I prefer to order this because they make it fresh to order and it’s delicious. They have also started bento boxes which are good in taste but have a little less quantity than expected.
Would definitely recommend this place.
Was disappointed to arrive for lunch and find no vegetarian sushi sets available. However, there were a few veggie hand rolls I tried instead. I got a veggie fritter and a brown rice avocado roll for $5. Quality was pretty good and flavour was great.
Bruce Lee Sushi is quite innovative in their approach. They have a combination of flavours which are interesting and top their sushi off with a gorgeous Panko sweet crumb which adds to the sushi roll. The staff are super friendly, always ready to have a chat
Sushi on steroids! Absolutely love this place! Have tried several things on the menu and nothing dissapointed! Love the addition of peanut butter, so random but it works!
Quick and friendly service, a few cheap lunch deals, interesting range of sushi combinations as well as classic hand rolls and bento boxes. Space for lunch that isn’t overly crowded.
I was skeptical about a takeaway sushi joint called Bruce Lee Sushi Roll, I'm used to more obvious names of sushi places, but in that alley way, it's the one that does a decent trade. Bruce Lee sushi at its core it's just a decent quick and easy Japanese place for the worker crowd.
I got the japanese curry bento box. it was surprisingly tasty. it satisfied me and filled me up. I would come here again - especially for the 3 rolls and a bottled water for $10 deal.
Question - is Bruce Lee Japanese? I thought he was from Hong Kong?
Ordered the salmon roll and the chicken roll from Uber eats and it arrived super fast. The salmon was a bit bland but the chicken one had a pile of teriyaki chicken on top of the sushi and made it that much tastier.
I frequently get my sushi craving fix from Bruce Lee as I work around the corner and I must say they offer a very interesting spin on sushi that never fails to disappoint. Ingredients used are always fresh and the crunchy bits sprinkled on top of their sushi complements the flavours so well. Overall, great place to grab takeaway sushi and I would highly recommend this to anyone who would like a different sushi roll experience :)
Japanese sushi! Oh yeah! I really really love this sushi! Because are taste fresh and crunchy! My favourite roll are Heaven A (with peanut butter) Crunch roll and French Kiss!
Got takeaway from the southland store and woah it was delicious. The photo doesnt do justice as it got messed up in transit but it was quite tasty. The chicken was dry though but the tuna was very nice. I would definitely try it again but maybe not the chicken options!

Doesn't matter, it's good quality sushi. Certainly not your traditional type of sushi but flavour profiles are, despite being quite eccentric, balances enough. Would pop in if in the area. Also mispresso were nice.
LIT ⭐️!: the sushi presentation is so mint. I had the crazy chicken which the lovely worker gave me extra toppings of shallots and sauce! Thank you, it was delicious!
NOT SO LIT: too bad it's not in a more open place where people can try his sushi heaven 😍

I have to say that I'm a fan of Bruce Lee Sushi. Beyond having one of the best names for a sushi shop, it serves up fresh sushi with the most unusual flavour combinations. Peanut butter in my sushi? So surprisingly delicious.
By far my favourite sushi joint, really makes you wonder why this hasn't been done sooner. The creativeness on both flavour and appearance is a sight to behold, but most importantly the flavour is on point. We were lucky enough to try this at the deliveroo party and we cant wait to try it again.

Great place to get sushi that are made fresh. So far I've tried 3 of the fusion series; Boston Roll, Crazy Chicken B and Kiwi Legend. Crazy Chicken B comes with marinated shredded chicken which is great if you don't like raw fish. The Boston roll comes with peanut butter and bacon; surprisingly when the two combined makes the sushi taste amazing, creamy yet savoury. Kiwi Legend is my favourite. Love that the whole combination of sweet, sour, creamy and savoury in every bite. Ultimate lunch go to destination and unique flavours that will be enjoy by many.

This week, TwoPaperPen headed down to Bruce Lee Sushi & Roll to taste different sushi fusion with interesting combinations of ingredients and flavours. Trust us, the sushi here are as interesting as their name. The best thing is that they offer an extensive range of sushi rolls that are made fresh right after you order it. We ordered some of their bests; Kiwi Legend, California Roll and Crazy Chicken B.

Bruce Lee Sushi is proof that on the go sushi doesn't have to be plain and simple. Their innovative rolls (tried one with peanut butter and bacon - YUM!) were pre-made and packed, so perfect for lunch time rush. We've been told they have they prepare the rolls fresh daily and with recipes unique to their brand. I can vouch for that!
Shout out to the amazing staff there, Julian and Will. Can't wait to try all their other sushis!
Bruce Lee Sushi is Delicious and so Fresh , it was recommended by a work colleague and I have to admit I am slightly addicted.
The service is Great and the Staff are really friendly.
I would highly recommend Bruce Lee to anyone who is looking for Sushi with a twist.
Their crazy chicken is my favorite but am looking forward to trying out all the options.
Never understood much about fusion sushi until I had Crazy chicken. It's their signature and I can understand why. The flavours are amazing and the creamed cheese goes so well with it. Love it. Will be back for another one very soon.
Bruce Lee Sushi has a lot of different fusion sushi flavours. Pretty much all their sushi rolls contain avocado and my boyfriend doesn't like avocado but fortunately if you ask they are more than willing to make the sushi roll without avocado.
The sushi is made right after you order so you don't have to worry about how long the sushi roll has been sitting around for. You can also buy smaller pre-made packs that are perfect for work lunches!
I ordered the French Kiss and my boyfriend ordered Heaven B without the avocado. I really enjoyed my sushi since I'm used to fusion sushi flavours but my boyfriend found the sushi to be too westernised. He also thinks less breadcrumbs would be good.
This place is perfect for people wanting fresh sushi and wanting to try a different type of sushi flavour. There's also a sushi roll there that has peanut butter in it (wasn't brave enough to try that one!!)

I used to live on Bruce Lee in NZ. So when I heard they were opening a Melbourne branch I was naturally ecstatic. However, until recently I didn't work in the city (they are only open on work days). I'm so glad I work in the CBD, it's just a pity it's on the southern cross side.
So far I have tried the Salmon , Crazy Chicken (Old favourite) and the Bodybuilder roll(My new favourite). I intend to work my way through the menu and may update my review if this changes. Like others say, the sizes are slightly smaller than NZ, however all the rolls were nice and fresh and standard Melbourne sizes(plus a lot more topping). The bodybuilder is definitely the most filling though.
I'll be recommending this to my work mates who want to try something different than the usual teriyaki chicken roll.

These guys are definitely taking fusion sushi to a new level. I'm so happy to have found a place like this that does good quality sushi with an interesting combination of flavours, because I'm so bored with the $2-3 grab-and-go sushi roll joints out there. There are so many choices on their menu, some are pre-made and sitting on the display counter and some can be made to order, so it totally depends on whichever one you want and the prices are all very reasonable as well. Their homemade miso soup is also a great accompaniment to the sushi, it's only $2 a cup and recently they're doing a promotion so it comes free with any purchase. I tried the salmon & avocado roll and the Boston roll and since I'm a salmon lover I'm a bit biased and would have to say that I prefer that (the salmon belly is fatty and melt-in-the mouth, and the amount of avocado is really generous so that ticks my boxes), but the Boston roll is quite unique because they use bonito flakes, panko crumbs, prawn, bacon, cucumber, surumi and PEANUT BUTTER in it, and the peanut butter taste is very subtle so you may not taste it straightaway but it slowly kicks in. Very special! All of the rolls can be made spicy (their chilli mayonnaise is also housemade and has a combination of flavours from sriracha, Korean chilli paste and others) and there are quite a few vegetarian choices as well, so whether you are a meat, seafood or vegetarian person you will be sure to find one that suits you.
Bruce Lee sushi is by far one of the better sushi places that you should eat at. All the flavours are unorthodox and I don't think I could go back to traditional sushi.
Loveeeeee it! The family and I are so happy to have Bruce Lee sushi available in Australia now. Still as good as it's remembered. All time fave is the brown rice crazy chicken! Will have to head back for a photo to share. Thanks for bringing the iconic sushi's over, you guys rule.
Went there at about 11am to grab some lunch sushi. They have various choices of fusion sushi rolls and I have to say I really appreciate the one I tried today. I had the crunch roll which was tasty and with light flavor. The place is decorated in modern style with menu on screen. Simple and clear. And I also like their take away box. Friendly stuff and definitely a nice place I will try more next time.
I have to say oh my gosh on the crazy chicken B. This roll is a must try for any chicken lovers. First time eating shushi without soy sauce n Wasabi.
Good taste, good price and good service. Overall Great fusion sushi and great value. Must try the crazy chicken,the French Kiss and the fried sushi!The owners were so nice and accommodating, would come back everyday.
Been here a couple of times since they've opened. They have a good selection of made to order fusion rolls. My favorite is the Boston roll! Must try!
Having been addicted to Bruce Lee sushi in Auckland for quite some time, i just had to sample the offerings in their first Melbourne branch. Needless to say, it did not disappoint! The Boston (Champion) roll and the French Kiss sushi tastes exactly like the ones made in the Botany branch in Auckland. The portions are a little smaller compared to their NZ counterparts but it does cost less here in Melbourne. Plenty of seating space around so dining-in is an option. My only suggestion would be to have temporary signs that are visible from the main street to make it easier for people to find it.
Fully recommended if you are on this side of town.
Great sushi! Interesting flavour combos. A New Zealand company that has recently opened in Melbourne, this place is worth checking out. If you can't decide which amazing roll to try, they also do half-serves of some selected flavours. Staff are super friendly and helpful!
