Had the best Poke Bowl ever today at Poke King!
First off, the decor, vibe and music was great. Phil looked after us really well!
I was impressed with the amount of different options available for vegans, GF etc.
I got a mushroom, avocado, veggie poke bowl with wasabi mayo and ponzu sauce. Absolutely delish and beautiful! I’d love to go back and try some different bowls soon!

This place is fantastically located on Brunswick street in Fitzroy and has to compete with some well known food places in the area. Despite this, it was busy upon my visit for Sunday lunch with lots of people in and out in the hour or so I was there!! The decor is on point as well making me feel like I had been transported to Hawaii and setting a relaxing vibe in the restaurant🌴☀️
The food here is so quick, delicious and healthy and there are plenty of options for those who require gluten free or vegan options! I made my own tofu bowl with lots of veg and the Japanese sesame sauce which is to die for. My friends also enjoyed their chicken and tofu bowls. 🥑🌶🍠🥗I found my bowl was super filling which is amazing because I’m always hungry and eating!
The staff here were super friendly as well making the visit that much better! Overall highly recommend this place for a quick, nutritious and delicious bowl for when you are on the go!!🤓
Really great experience at Poke King tonight! Beautiful fresh gluten free food. I really enjoyed making my own poke bowl and choosing whatever I wanted. A small bowl was filling enough! I felt bad for the worker as she was working alone on a Saturday night and there were a few people in there and uber orders too.
Another one of my poke faves! Lots of fresh options with the toppings and the quality of protein here seems better than some other poke places I’ve been too. Only feedback I have is the large vs small, when I have ordered it just seems like there was more base in the large as opposed to more toppings.
Poke King serves up an assortment of healthy and fresh poke based dishes. The vibrant and colourful store reflects the fun that they put into their food. Not only do they have the usual bowl options, they have also expanded to snack packs and healthy smoothies. . Would recommend!. This is the best poke I’ve had in Melb. So many flavor options to choose from and they are generous with their servings. They have a great set menu or you can create your own. There’s even a great variety of sauces to flavor your poke with. Was also surprised to find that their sweet potato fries were some of the best I’ve tasted.
Great smoothies and juices on offer and if you want you can get your protein torched. Loved it!!
Best Poke I've had in Melbourne, and what's even better is how consistent it's been. I've been here a few times and have always really enjoyed the high quality of ingredients and reasonable portions (they don't sting-out on topping options). Staff have always been very friendy, and although the store itself is nothing to write home about with no outdoor seating the location is still fantastic!! No doubt I'll be back again
Great fresh food. We went at 1:45pm but our made-to-order bowels tasted nice and fresh. Their sauces are great combo with the salad. Our bowels have the soba, 5 grain rice and Matcha rice - all have very different interesting taste which works well with the rest of the food in the bowls. Surprisingly, they regular size is quite filling. But if you are extra hungry go for a large or try a small one for snack.

Had my first poke experience here the other night, and it was delicious! The guy who helped me was so patient, even though I'm sure he's said the same thing to poke newbies a million times before. The broccoli was really nice, a bit crunchy which made it seem fresh. The pickled ginger was AMAZING, as was the kimchi. The edamame and zucchini "pasta" made the whole thing seem super healthy. They were great when suggested sauces to go on top, as well as the toppings. Seems more of a takeaway sort of place. Great, tasty experience.
The food was amazing, there’s so many things to put on your bowl! I ordered the smallest one but that was actually big enough for me. I reckon that you have to pay about $20 for poke bowl in other places, but I just payed $12 and I’m really content with that. I’m happy with everything except bathroom. I asked the staff about it because I needed to go to the bathroom, but they said there’s no bathroom. I also asked if there’s a bathroom around here, but they just answered “I don’t know.”
First time ordering Poke King today. There was a mix up with the order, after calling to let them know what had happened one of the employees personally delivered the amended order to my front door. On top of the great service the food was so fresh and tasty- will be back for more. Highly recommend

Poke is really trending at the moment but there still is good, bad and amazing! Poke king really fits into the latter category! Unique in its bases- broccoli, matcha sushi rice, udon noodles and multigrain rice as well as fresh in their toppings we really loved our visit! They have some great house made sauces and also do sushi burritos! Really reasonable in price and size (with a jumbo option) too! Their infused waters and fresh coconuts are the perfect meal to a fresh, tasty, light yet filling meal!
I've had it a few times and LOVED it. Best poke I've had. Unfortunately the last time I had it (with the poached chicken) i experienced stomach cramps & knots after eating it. Perhaps not so fresh, or in some way contaminated? Anyway, I hope this was a once off, coz it really is awesome!
First it was burgers, then fried chicken, then superfood salads – well you get my drift – if there’s one thing Melbourne bloody loves it’s a foodie fad. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE all of the above, and they’re still delicious in my eyes. But in the world-class food scene we have become accustomed to, there is always the next big thing waiting to take our city by storm.

Finally a Poke in the North!! And just so happens to be the best in Melb. Uber fresh, super tasty and great value. Get the add on avocado, well priced @ $1 and hope that there is a little line up so you can enjoy the complementary miso while you wait.
Worth the price as the bowl is huge! Moreover, there are a lot of things that I can choose. I also used UberEATS and it came perfect
In poke king I found the perfect harmony of taste, and art. Having been to Hawaii, and traveled to Japan tasting the food, and absorbing the culture, I felt right at home when I went in to try it for myself, after all my friends had raved on about the place. The food was phenomenal, the staff were accosting, and the mural on the wall was beautiful. Thanks guys for having my in, and living up to your name. I will definitely be back.
I am a massive poke fan and have tried all I can find in melborune. This is easily the best around. The food is fresh, healthy and tasty and I can choose any combination I like. The staff are awesome and the fit out is off the charts. Would highly reccomend.
Brand new on Brunswick St Fitzroy and happy about! Awesome fit out and amazing food. All ingredients were fresh, healthy, flavourful and endless combinations to make the perfect bowl. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend
I was so excited to find a Poke restaurant had opened in Fitzroy and Poke King did not disappoint! With lots of options and flexibility on choices (i got half salmon half tuna) you are spoilt for choice here. My partner is vegetarian so having a tofu option means i can bring him along too and he really enjoyed it. The staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly and were great if your not sure what will work well together to give tasty options. At $15 for a classic bowl its affordable too. We'll definitely be back for more!! :-)
Great space and delicious food. I had the classic bowl with salmon and special sauce and berry aloha water. Ingredients were fresh and tasty, and I left feeling the same way. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Walked pass one night on Brunswick street, spotted a restaurant that I've never seen before.
Poke King just recently opened and it's definitely a restaurant Brunswick street needs.
Staff are lovely and they will patiently go through all the ingredients and how you customise your poke bowl.
They have a sumo bowl and a classic bowl, we chose the classic bowl and it was perfectly portioned, we were full in a healthy manner.
1st bowl was green tea soba noodles with salmon sashimi, edamame, carrots, cabbage, cucumber, radish, seaweed, charcoal salt and jalapeños. Very tasty, however I wish they could drain as much water as they could from the soba noodles as it kinda ruined the dish having water in the bowl.
2nd bowl was green matcha sushi rice with edamame, chicken and tofu, quinoa, avocado, kewpie 7 spice and black sesame seeds. Again very tasty, however the green matcha sushi rice does not taste like green matcha, it has more of a vinegary taste and possibly overlooked for 'sushi rice'
I still feel like $15 is a lot for a meal like this especially when they don't put enough protein, however you get to choose as many sides/sauces/garnishes as you please.
We also tried their aloha infused water, watermelon with mint and berries. Honestly you can make this at home, $8 is expensive and $3 to refill, it should be free to refill if they're going to charge you that much for fruit in water, though it did taste pleasant.
Definitely would return, however not for awhile until they improve a bit better.

Loved each and every bit of it!! The ingredients were so fresh and delicious! Loved the aloha infused watermelon water too. Definitely coming back for another one soon :)
This was the first time I tired a poke bowl.
I absolutely loved it. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to dive in to the world of Poke bowls. There is a wide selection of add-ons. You can either customise the bowl and make your own creation, or just go with the items on the menu. The kimchi and the seaweed salad is so good at this place.
Really tasty poke bowl, I chose the 'build your own' veggie options and was a decent serving, the ingredients were fresh and generous. Good value. Would recommend!
Loved it! I had Poke for first time today and am converted. Super tasty, fresh, healthy and no added nasties. Staff very friendly, too. Excited to have Poke in Fitzroy - will definitely be going back.

Amazing Poke Bowls, full of great fresh flavours for my tastebuds. Wouldn’t recommend any of place besides Pokè King. If you find it hard to find your taste all you need to do is ask the staff and they can help you find your flavour.
