I'm a fan of steamed vegetable dumplings but not here. The seafood noodle soup tasted like hot water just got poured on the bowl and a few old seafood chuck in. My experience wasn't positive.
The food was great, but service needs more focus. They failed to ensure that items were correctly priced two days in a row. When I questioned the price they surprisingly found a ticket somewhere.
My partners shanghai wonton soup had so much oil on the top I had to scoop it off. The soup base tasted horrible. I have dumplings with mild chilli oil. It was swimming in oil. I had to ask for a container to scoop up the oil. Didnt enjoy lunch and would not go back. The food served looked nothing l
Definitely will not go there again. Asked them why their food handlers didn't wear gloves and was told it wasn't a law anymore.
When I asked another girl, I was told that they were all allergic to latex!
She showed me a box of disposable rubber gloves and they definitely weren't latex. Told her
Order was a variety pack, which the pastry was thick, and the dumplings themselves were hard, stale from sitting in the bay-marrie too long.
On the other side, the steamed pork buns had a lot of pork in them, very nice
Really nice dumplings if you get them fresh. They have the habit to leave them in plastic take away containers with result the dumplings are getting a bit dry.
The Sichuan fried rice and dumpling soup were delicious! I did not get five stars because there was a little too much oil in each.
What really grabs my attention about this place is the ability to remain calm under stressful situations...aka packed with customer. The food could use a touch of "soul" and not so much with this tasteless/organic/weight-watchers/ gluten free generation.
