Pimm certainly does Thai with style! This cafe has a menu that has the standards, but also goes beyond that for something different. My favorites are the gorgeous fluffy curry puffs, the pork belly and Chinese broccoli, the chili and basil stir fry, the green curry with prawns and when i want something really meaty the slow cooked pork neck. Generous serves and wonderful flavours. Nice atmosphere for eating in, and a great home delivery treat on a wintery night! 5 stars for doing exactly what i want from a great local eatery!
Amazing and authentic Thai food - what a hidden gem in Kensington!
Stumbled upon this place when we drove past and decided to give it a go. It has been our go to Thai restaurant since!
We eat here quite regularly and it’s delicious every time! Tom yum goong is perfect amount of spice and the green curry is delicious too. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
We've been wanting to come to this Thai restaurant for a while. We've walked past it several times but we've always had other plans until now.
As soon as we entered, we were greeted to an interesting setup. Half of the seated area was on one level while the other half was a few steps higher. The toilets are upstairs FYI. The decor was bold and quite monochrome.
We ordered the following:
1) Tom yum soup: this really hit the spot and we were quite happy with it although I would've preferred it with more Asian vegetables like Thai eggplant (small round ones) 3/5
2) crispy fried chicken wings: these were super crispy and tasty. I didn't need the sweet chilli sauce that it came with as it tasted nice on it's own. 5/5
3) fried barramundi salad: it was nice but the salad was more western than Thai. It still tasted nice but it wasn't Thai. 3/5
4) crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli: this was super tasty and had the right ratio of pork belly to broccoli. 5/5
Service was nice and prompt. 4/5
Overall I think the food was a westernised version of Thai but it was still very tasty
Amazing!! The massaman curry and pad Thai were amazing. Such a lovely evening.
The place had a really nice vibe and the wait staff were extremely friendly.
Would recommend!!
The place is cosy and the staff are friendly. There's a good choice of food too. The only thing that bothered me was the time they take to prepare our orders. I had to wait for at least 10 minutes for my coffee.
Delicious food, lovely service and reasonably price. Couple of entrees and mains was just the right amount for the three of us. Would definitely recommend. My new favourite Thai resultant!
Very attentive service, I really enjoyed the Chilli basil with beef and extra veggies - spot on :) meal came quickly. They were also happy to create a barramundi version of the same dish which was much enjoyed by my friend.
My favourite Thai food in Melbourne. Food is fresh, meals are generous, prices are reasonable and the service is great. I've been here half a dozen times and couldn't fault anything.
I've ordered most of the curries here and they're pretty decent. Definitely above average compared to the Thai food I've tried in Melbourne!
Beautiful food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere and well priced. We will definitely be back again. We had the tamarind prawns, crispy barramundi, pork belly on Chinese broccoli and roti with satay sauce, all recommended. We had food envy from the table next to us who ordered the salt and pepper soft shell crab on Apple salad...next time!
I've been here on last Friday with my partner. We felt in love with the interior before walk into the shop. The food is fresh and tasty. Moreover, staffs are so friendly and educated. Definitely recommended!! Please make a booking for big group to avoid the mess.
Brilliant food, fresh and tasty. Sensational Massaman, yummy roti and friendly service. This place is by far the best Thai I've had. Love it!
Great value for money and delicious home cooked Thai food. Warm and friendly service. Yet to dine in but the dining set up looked cosy and inviting.
We had the duck red curry and porky belly with Chinese broccoli (ka na moo grob) both were very tasty. Finished with the black rice puddling - one of my favourites and this one did not disappoint.
Would definitely go again 😀
Outstanding new Thai restaurant in Bellair Street, Kensington. A fresh new fitout and the food and service exemplary. Expect a very warm welcome, with quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Plus BYO with no charge. Will be back very soon!
Absolutely loved the food at Pimm Thai Cafe! Everything we ordered was a flavor bomb each bite!

Unbelievable. It was like being back in Thailand, but right at home! Will be back for more!! Best Thai I've had in Melbourne! 😍
Great place, with some awesome food!
Been here a few times now, and the food never disappoints - always fresh, and comes out quick.
The staff are also lovely and very accommodating.
We’ve never been disappointed with the quality of food, freshness, fair pricing and portion serving. Prob our fave Thai place in the area! Thanks for your amazing & authentic food Pimm Thai Cafe!
We tried their Thai fried rice, green curry, pad se ew, and Thai tea. Cannot complain about anything! They are all delicious! We only wished that they came in a bigger portion, though.
Maybe the best Thai food I’ve had in Melbourne. Definitely a fav!
