We wanted to eat beef pies for breakfast and we decided to buy them here because we thought they would have been better than the 7/11 ones, but we were disappointed because our pies were burnt on the top and they had burnt taste. Plus the pie that my friend wanted to eat was not available.

These guys do some wicked meat pies and sausage rolls. For a chain store set up they have some of the best chunky beef pies known to man. A definite option on a winters day in Melbourne.

This place is quite close to southern cross station. It serve a reasonable good pie!

Beef pie and beef sausage is way below average. Regretted not checking the reviews before ordering. Would not be back. Melbourne have so much better to offer.

Honestly I feel like pie face is way underrated.. I’ve walked into famous bakery’s all over Australia and have had worse pies than these.. just because they are on every corner does not mean we should take them for granted.. great, fresh, tasty pies and sausage rolls, crispy, flaky pastry with generous fillings at affordable prices and huge variety. Even the pie smiles at you before you eat it!.. What’s not to love??

Second pie I've had from here first one (potato pie) well the potato wasn't to bad today I got a chunky steak. It should of been call Gray pie with beef stock and a few bits or fat. Ate half hoping it would get better. Know it's on the road some where

My husband had a "steak and peppercorn" pie. He isnt normally bothered by a bit of gristle in a pie but this was LITERALLY. ALL. GRISTLE. It was quite shocking and I wish I'd taken a photo of all the chunks of cartilage that he spat out because I've not seen anything like it. On top of that it was tasteless and not a peppercorn in sight. I had a beef sausage roll that tasted like a stick of butter. No flavour whatsoever other than the pastry. Which is flaky, I'll give them that, but now I have horrible heartburn. One of the worst sausage rolls I've had. We had a train to catch and no time to go and complain, otherwise we would have. And we're not complainers. The girls were super lovely, but unfortunately that doesn't make up for horrible, horrible food.

On 15th October I bought a potato pie from pie face Southern Cross and it was predominantly nothing but potato. It took 3-4 bites before I came across any beef and quite honestly it was just a very poor pie. Took back to store for a refund which the staff didn't want to give though in the end finally received one. Called head office on the 16th and then again today the 22nd to inform them I still hadn't received a phone call to which I was told I would get a photocall promptly which still hasn't happened. Quite unimpressed with the lack of customer service. Not impressed.
