Service was extremely slow, but you can see there is only one girl working and she is working so hard! My mango sorbet was very nice, also tried my friend's lychee one it was really nice and refreshing as well. Nice little shop!
We came by and had the roche and black sesame gelato which were yummy! We also got the crepe with milo and condensed milk which was sweet but enjoyable
Really interesting flavours and some more simple but delicious ones to choose from. In essence, it’s just ice cream but the concept of having special add ons is great. The price is reasonable too!!
Staff were very friendly and willing to help with samples and would definitely visit again. Not usually too crowded either 😋
The M&N milo was really amazing and loved the way they made the chocolate ice cream. Very Well presented with finesse. Well worth it’s price and deserves more customers in the future.

I am such a sucker for good dessert places & nitro lab is definitely one of my to go places! They do their gelato so well with the perfect consistency & stickyness😩! I always order the ferrero rocher here because the hazelnut cream topping is so rich and is an absolute dream 😍🌰 The additional biscuits provide some much needed texture. You can opt for either smaller portion at $6.50 or the bigger one at $8.50 which is what I am having. I will definitely return soon to try the matcha one 🍵 Also if u come anytime between 1-5 from mon-fri you can enjoy the smaller version at $5!! 🤑
Was craving for a midday snack and decided to finally try Nitro Lab after passing by for the hundredth time. Got the Ferrero Rocher in the bigger size that they have. Definitely more than enough for two as we were struggling to finish it. Yummy, sweet and creamy ice cream. Would definitely be coming back to try something else when the weather gets warmer.
Cute little set up inside. I got the little bit of berry paradise icecream with a nutella belgium waffle. For an extra $3 on top of the icecream I think the waffle was good value. It was a decent size waffle as well as the icecream. The icecream was very refreshing especially with the little jelly balls on top of it.
Not too bad, we both enjoyed what we ordered. There used to be a line but not ao much now. Ice cream is still good though for any weather time or day

We ordered the ferrero rocher ice cream and topped it up with the waffle combo to fix our dessert craving. Unfortunately the quality of the ice cream felt like it had gone down since our last visit. The ice cream was not as enjoyable as we remembered and the waffle felt dense and stale as it had been premade.

Nitrolab is a science-themed nitrogen ice cream parlour with a variety of innovative flavours. I ordered the waffle and scoop of matcha flavoured gelato ($9). The gelato was smooth and creamy. and had a fairly strong matcha flavour. The waffle was crunchy and buttery with crunchy sugar bits in it but it was slightly overcooked, therefore a tad dry. Although overpriced when you only buy ice cream, it's not a bad deal when ordered it with a waffle or crepe.
I love the decor of the place, as it's quite cute and funky. It is a bit small however, so can be hard to get a seat when it gets busy or if you come in a big group. Service, while impersonal, was efficient and my ice cream came out in no time.
First time trying liquid nitrogen gelato. Came during happy hour weekdays - where their small cup is priced at $5 (usually $7.50). Tried their Green Tea Moment - delicious! Loved the rice bubble and whipped cream toppings.
Always love their Belgian waffle with a cup of coffee, great starter for a busy morning! Haven't tried their ice cream so I cannot comment, I did like their Blueberry sorbet when I tried it last time!

Love the creative flavours of the ice creams here but think it is quite expensive for ice cream. Still fun to watch them make the ice cream though.
For the love of liquid nitrogen. I live for food fads but Nitro Lab has actually been in business a few years now and it's still a fun and (obviously) tasty experience. Very cool concept (get it) and for $8.50 I think it's pretty reasonable given what standard ice cream retails for these days. Here you are at least getting a free science lesson and some novelty factor. This is the golden gaytime with salted caramel and chocolate chips. You can pimp it up with additional toppings and/or a syringe too but I think it's pretty delicious without it. Though of course the syringe is another novelty in itself, if you are about that life. A must try at least once

I love gelato so I couldn't not go here when I was in Melbourne especially it was close to my hotel. The gelato didn't disappoint and I wish I was able to try more. I tried the Ferrero one and salted caramel. If I'm back in Oz, I will come here again for more.

Sneakers – Cassidy and I got some takeaway from Nitro Lab. I ordered the larger Ferrero Rocher gelato cup with a waffle on the side, and Cassidy ordered a raspberry gelato with biscuit crumb. Mine was delicious. With crispy rice rubbles, two different wafers and Nutella, you can’t really go wrong. The waffles weren’t freshly made, having said that we did visit at 10.30pm not long before closing so I’m not sure whether that has any part to play in it. It was still a tasty waffle nonetheless. I also tried the raspberry cup which was nice and fresh and pretty much the polar opposite to the Ferrero Rocher. I’d say we’ll be back for sure though I’ll probably just be getting a regular size cup next time.
Cassidy – as I can’t eat cocoa my options were quite limited at Nitro Lab, hence why they made me a plain raspberry gelato cup just with cookie crumb on top. And I have to say, it really was just that: plain. I ended up scooping gelato on to the waffle and eating it that way, which was quite tasty. If/when we go back, I’d be sure to get a shot of caramel or something to add a flavour to the gelato as on its own it’s too plain for me. In regards to service, the girls were lovely and obviously accommodating to special requests.

Nitro Lab is modern ice cream store in Glen Waverley. Nitro Lab has super science-y feel to it, with the dry ice, syringes, conical flasks and beakers. The staff are super friendly, and service is quick even though this place can get pretty busy! The ice cream is made on the spot after you order it using nothing more than a beaker of dry ice and a kitchen aid! Nitro Lab is virtually N2 Nitrogen in Brunswick, the single difference between them is that N2 does not do shakes! There ice cream is very thick and sweet but not as creamy as we hoped! Unfortunately there only 6 flavours on the menu at a time.
TIP: Do try a Nitro Shake- thick and tasty! Our favourite flavour is Cookies & Cream.
We were welcomed by very friendly and enthusiastic staff. They were very knowledgeable and offered to let us taste samples of their ice cream before we decided which one to purchase. In the menu the pic of Ferrero Rocher looked nice so I asked to taste a sample of the Ferrero Rocher and it tasted so good. The staff made my ice cream better than what it look in the pic. The presentation was fantastic and it tasted so good. The portion was pretty big I couldn't finish it by myself. The ambiance and vibe were very trendy and friendly. Thanks for such great service and awesome ice cream. We will be back and recommend it.

Located in Glen Waverly shopping district this ice cream parlour does not quite give away the scientific culinary image from its outside ambience. One walks into a cafe looking joint to realise the "nitro menu". Located behind the counter are few kitchenettes and you notice 2 BIG nitrogen tanks!!!

We had Ferraro Rocher, Gaytime crunch, waffle and Cookies and cream. The cappuccino was pretty good too. Icecream serves are decent and price is very modest given the novelty items served.

Came here for a quick sugar hit with my partner saturday night before heading to a shisha joint. We ordered gaytime crunch icecream with an extra caramel injection. The textures of the ice cream was good but we did not need that extra injection as it made the whole ice cream too sweet an over powering.
I'm not the biggest fan of deserts but if I was to pick a desert, it'd be ice-cream especially ice cream with a touch of excitement and a bit of a twist.
Nitro Lab was my go-to summer date. It had a fun atmosphere and boy was it delicious! And most importantly, their ice cream combos are so creative. The flavours work so well together and wow, it's dangerously addictive.
I highly recommend checking this bad boy out for a cute lil' catch up or even a first date! Such a relaxing, low key vibe with a fun, cheeky lil atmosphere!

Had a green tea gelato, Nutella waffle & a staff recommend Belgian chocolate. My god ! The hot chocolate is definitely one of the best in Melbourne! And I love my matcha, my fav.waffle is great too ! Highly recommended!:)
Really cool place. Can get busy and there isn't a lot of room inside. However the staff are super helpful and allow you to try the products you desire. For quick date or catchup where you want to be social would recommend.
When you enter Nitro Lab it feels quintessentially gimmicky - and everyone likes it that way. Giant canisters of liquid nitrogen behind the counter, staff dressed in lab coats and safety goggles, laboratory stools - it's a sciencey feel for those of us who aren't very sciencey about anything but food. And food, well, it's a loose term in this particular case. How about - guilt-free-dessert-cos-it's-all-in-the-name-of-science? Yeah, that sounds better.
This is a pretty cool place to get a desert in Glen Waverley. It looks like a couple of scientists working on an experiment, but the deserts turn out very nicely indeed!
These liquid nitrogen ice cream chains are losing their novelty recently but nitro lab still continues to serve great tasting and unique ice cream desserts. Great place to stop by when you want a yummy treat
Tasty little shop in a complex full of food options. The golden Gaytime crunch was quite tasty but not too rich. Went down well on a warm night. Interesting to see how they make also as I am from a science/chemistry background.
Interesting concept and theatricals in seeing them make the ice cream, however I cannot tell any difference in terms of the taste. The ice cream was tasty, but nothing amazing to set it apart from the myriad of ice cream and gelato shops in Melbourne. Lots of toppings but I felt like there was too much going on. In my opinion, good ice cream should speak for itself with no gimmicks required.
Given the steeper price tag attached, I would be reluctant to return, however lucky for Nitro Lab there are not many other choices for ice cream near by.
Similar to N2, Nitro lab can be found on the busy street of Kingsway, Glenwaverley. If you haven’t heard of it before, they serve gelato ice cream made with nitrogen ice. There were six different flavours to choose from. After you order, the open kitchen lets you watch the nitrogen ice in action. You will be eating with your eyes in no time. We ordered one golden gaytime & one cookies and cream.
Yum. The gelati was yum, no doubt about that. Had the golden gaytime one, it was sweet but not too sweet and very creamy, everything gelati should be. It's a tad pricey, but yeah I get it, you're paying for the whole liquid nitrogen concept...

Nothing special. Very fascinating, fanciful and a visual treat. A smallest serve costs around $9 but tempts your visual buds to try it! Tastes good and we enjoyed watching the staff creating our orders.
I love the ice cream and milkshakes here, but it's always criminally understaffed during its busy times. Waiting 15 minutes for a shake is really disappointing, especially after paying such a high premium for what is essentially a cooking gimmick. That said, I really love the Golden Gaytime and Milo flavours, and the fresh raspberry icecream is lovely. A changing menu of flavours keeps me coming back, but I really really wish there was just more man power behind their counter!

Cooling technique with heart-made TALLEST Gelato Sorbet. So yummy that want to get the second cup in a hurry. I love it, hope you like it too.
Delicious ice cream and great to just sit outside and eat, opens quite late too which is a bonus for those sugar cravings!
