Dropped in for a couple drinks, God it was hot outside and it was no surprise that the ice didn’t survive the trip back to the office (one block away). The space is inviting and they’ve got several tables if you want to just kick back.
I got their silky cake pearl milk tea, I was guessing it was the combination of pearls and pudding but it was much funkier than that. They lined the inside with creamy cheese and it gave the drink saltiness, the half sugar was about right but I think the salt enhanced it. My favourite part was the golden pearls, I would almost call them perfect. Smooth and chewy with a light honey-like flavour.
They also have a heavy focus on fruit tea and cheese fruit tea but for now, it’s all about those golden pearls.
Worth the money. 0.59cents to upgrade to a large drink. I was able to enjoy it for an hour - good quantity for 3.50 AUD
Bubble tea is definitely taking Melbourne by storm. It seems as there are bubble tea stores on every street and corner in the CBD and I for one, am not complaining. I passed by Toptea on an unusually hot day in desperate need for something icy cold, and they did not disappoint.
I ordered a frozen peppermint tea and it arrived promptly. The staff were friendly and efficient. The tea itself was very refreshing, although the peppermint flavour was quite strong. I was sharing the drink which was fortunate as I don't think I could have finished it on my own. It was really good on a hot day, but next time I think I will order a fruit based tea instead. Overall it was still a yummy cold drink and I would definitely go back for different flavours.

Jasmine Milk Tea with Pearls 4/5 - the jasmine tea was evident and even with no sugar, you can taste the subtle sweetness this tea offers. The milk base they used was nice and creamy, adding that sweetness to the drink that I prefer (I believe its an evaporated milk base taste). The tapioca they used is the clear ones, and it was cooked well: perfect amount of chewiness and not overly sweet (although it was most likely cooked in sugar).
They also have a few interesting drinks on their menu which I would love to come back and try. They still have groupon deals so might as well use it while we still can!
That being said, service could be a little better. The server was unenthusiastic and it was obvious he was bored. No smile, didnt project his voice, didnt necessarily greet me even though he saw me waiting (while he was making a drink). Wasnt inviting, which killed the mood.
Came here twice after purchasing 2 vouchers from groupon. 1 for their milk tea and 1 for their cheese tea. For the cheese tea i chose the cheesy black grapes!! The sweet from the grapes and the cheese from the foam balance really well!❤️ so i do recommend this.
Whereas i choose the silky cake pearl milk tea. Not to sweet, the taste tend to be more light. It was ok.
I wish the prices of the bubble teas in Towntea to be lower. They make beautiful and delicious bubble teas, serving milk teas, fruit teas, pure teas, cheese tea, and lattes. The design of the interior is beautiful as well, wit free internet. They sell crepe cakes, with flavours including taro, Thai milk tea, tiramisu, matcha, mango and durian. But they can be even more expensive than the drinks. They all mainly taste like cream with the flavouring from the sauce.

I decided on a cheesy strawberry one and it was so declined, cold and freshly made. glad there are pictures of the drinks splashed everywhere in the store and out the front because the menu isn’t clear in English although it is clear in an Asian character format.
You can dine in or takeaway. Nice a bright shop with pleasing decor. There is only one thing I dislike about these new ‘tea’ places and that’s the amount of packaging. Container. Kid. Straw. Stopper. Napkin. Cardboard around the container. I’ll bring my own next time. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly.

- I really loved the fragrance of the tea as it has a really nice after taste. I’ve to say the drink was a tad bit milky and the herbal jelly was quite hard, perhaps they could improve on that.

Given there’s so many boba chains around, Town Tea is average. What stands out for me is the fragrance of their tea. Will try their desserts next time!
Had the Signature Panda milk tea and it was good. Staff were nice and service was good. It is a nice place to have a sit down and location was good. Prices were reasonable.

The milk tea with pearls is very good. I purchased 2 teas using a Groupon voucher, and staff were very friendly. I would be happy to return and pay full price.

Passionfruit Pineapple (黄金凤梨)
Originally thought with passionfruit it would add to the sweetness, but apparently it is more towards the pineapple flavour! sourness! I usually love all the drinks here (mostly fruit ones that create magic I would rate 5/5!) but this one 3/5 fo me! Not a pineapple sour fan. There is cheese milk cap at the top which you can mix that is salty!
I love this place it is my 25th drink here (highest ever consumption trying out all different flavours because too good for me aha)! Oh they also changed adding the cup holder now out of cardboard which is sweet! Recommend because it is definitely my taste! I don't really find many drink places that I like even if it is tea level too mix and that I am the type who likes to try out tasting.
Also I love the simple lovely aesthetics especially pastel colours pillow and the songs omg I like and know it (makes my mood)! They also have own wifi here and close late till 11pm!
Yo I really wanted to lick that durian crepé sauce. But ALAS I have to be civil!

The place is not too packed, unlike the other outlets. There are comfortable seatings including high chairs to make you loaf and savor your bubble tea.
I ordered the Super Lemon Mint with Golden Pearls (Which Gongcha and Chatime don't offer). It was very tasty and 100% value for money. The takeaway glass they offered was of high quality compared to the see-through plastics other outlets offer. I am not a fan of milk tea and I see that there are a lot of negative comments about the milk tea. But, I loved the fruit tea in here and would love to visit again. I want to try the Passionfruit explosion and Orange Sunrise soon.
Pretty good bubble tea. As per my norm, ordered the pearl milk tea to test out the place. Well executed drink with silky smooth milk tea, and with sugar and ice levels as requested. Worth a repeat visit to test out the other drinks.
Town tea is on of the new hip tea joints in the CBD. They have a good menu selection with some unique drinks only available with them. Would recommend trying out!. Silky Cake Milk Tea (large) ~ $6. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!. A very creamy drink. It was a bit too intense for me at the start, but it really grew on me. Tasted like they had squeezed a piece of cake in ★★★★
环境很好的一家奶茶店，位子还挺多的，适合和闺蜜来下午茶聊天～第一次点了榴莲拿铁！榴莲味儿很浓，但咖啡那部分的味道我不是很喜欢，黑砖拿铁也是很甜啦，建议是半糖。熊猫奶茶其实就跟珍珠奶茶差不多，奶味还是浓郁的。其实来这家应该点芝士奶盖系列，但是本人比较怕胖和腻，就没有敢尝试，但觉得应该不会踩雷～

this store is so aesthetic!! The cups and bottles are so cute. I highly recommend the 'refreshing sodas' menu. Apart from the sodas, their list of drinks has a huge variety!! Rated 4/5 because I was disappointed in the staff members.

I love the white pearl, it’s really chewy different from your standard pearl which also comes with the panda milk tea. Enjoyed the panda milk tea but did not really like the cheese foam green tea. It’s on the higher end price wise.
Girl behind the counter has a bit of an attitude, been twice same thing.
Food: ordered the mango yakult. Flavoursome, refreshing. The mango ice compliments the milky yakult taste. The cup it comes in is solid and well presented. Drink tastes like half ice blend and half milky. Only downside is there is quite a lot of ice.
Ambiance: bright atmosphere and a well set out seating. Looks like a tea store targeted to the asian market. Music suits the place.
Staff: friendly and get the drink make efficiently.
absolutely love the atmosphere of this place!! it's quite small but the decor here is so cute and it's such a nice place to be in with your friends! the drinks we ordered were from the soda section and they tasted so good!! the service was fast and the store was kept clean and had good music throughout the duration we were there !
I love their milk tea. My favourite is Signature Panda Milk Tea with both black & white pearls. Reasonable prices. It’s 4/5 instead 5/5 because the staff isnt the friendliest. Regardless, highly recommend everyone to try their milk tea.

Small Chinese bubble tea start up. Accepts Alipay and WeChat pay. Also does delivery via MELBSC. The place has reasonable seating area and has electrical plug points but has labels all over them saying it’s for staff use only. They also have juices coffees and sodas. The shop has an interesting odour. The packaging esp the lid is of high quality plastic. The jasmine green tea with cheese foam is nice according to my wife.
Nice decor inside with clear signage on the outside. The woman at the front desk immediately spoke to me in Chinese which I thought was a bit rude. We waited for about 5 minutes before we were allowed to order. I ordered the Cheesey Black Grape Tea and man it was awesome. The cheese gave it a slightly salty taste and the rest of it was a little sweet flavoured. It was a perfect combination of the 2 for me. I will definitely go back to try the other flavours
Their Thai milk tea cake is a must-try! Been here twice. Also try their panda milk tea with black and white pearl, really like the texture and the flavor of tea 🍵
