Only reason I walked into this venue was because I was too early for an appointment and had time to kill. So glad I did though, great wine list and tapas and friendly staff to guide you through what to order. I ordered a delicious Albariño and had it with oysters...heaven.
Live nearby, been meaning to visit. Finally got there and wonder why I waited so long. Great design, good drinks list and friendly staff. I’ll definitely be back.
Really love this cute place. Unassuming on first look, but has a sweet little space out the back. Large range of wine with helpful staff to pick something new. Food menu is perfect for shared eating and very tasty.
Definitely returning here 🙂
Becoming a regular spot for my partner and I. The atmosphere is great. Dimly lit, timber and good tunes. The staff are knowledgeable of the wine, cheese and food on offer and are great for a chat.
The wine is always changing and has a good range of $50-$80 a bottle of small local and international producers. The menu is small and also rotational but the food is amazing. I’ve had the mussels, steak, pasta, heaps of cheese, ibeco and nibbles.
Had a lovely evening here last week. The service though nothing special was non offensive and knowledgeable. The space is charming yet relaxed and the menu interesting but still approachable.
The aged Gouda we had was perfect, generous and a nice change from the standard Cheddar/Comte/Dauphin lists.
The wine again was interesting, appropriately priced and well served (nice glassware).
Great vibes, can't wait to go back!
A short menu makes me nervous because I’m afraid there won’t be a dish on it that will cater to all my intolerances, but I shouldn’t have worried at Little Andorra. Little Andorra is a cutesy wine bar tucked away on an unassuming corner of Nicholson Street. It has a narrow bar entrance peppered with tables, should you want to sit inside, which then meanders into a cosy, leafy courtyard with wooden tables. We chose to dine in the courtyard on this occasion to take advantage of the unseasonably hot November evening (I would have gladly taken refuge in the air-conditioned confines of the bar, but that’s just me).
In a bid to avoid the Christmas chaos and to celebrate lunch with work colleagues on a day when everyone was available, it was suggested we try out Little Andorra in Carlton North, a 20 minute tram ride outside the Melbourne CBD.
Not only did we pick the right day, we definitely picked the right venue!
With 10 people set up in the gorgeous courtyard out the back of the restaurant, we were totally spoiled by the attention of Luke Bresnan, owner and Molly, wait staff who were both on hand to cater to our every whim.
Rather than order individual dishes, we shared a number of the items from the menu including the house speciality steak tartare; fresh homemade pasta with pippis and chilli; various vegetarian dishes such as char-grilled asparagus; yellow zucchini; broccoli with chickpeas, chilli and labne; a chicken terrine; and char-grilled octopus. And then we finished with a delicious selection of soft, hard and blue cheeses and crackers. Each mouthful was delicious and our tastebuds felt they had died and gone to heaven. Kudos to the kitchen staff for their beautifully created food – divine!
The wines that accompanied this gorgeous food were ever changing throughout the day and were excellent. Luke’s expertise and knowledge in this area is outstanding, particularly on little known brands and those wines imported from Portugal and Spain.
In the words of Molly Meldrum “do yourself a favour and check it out”. This place will blow your mind – great food, great wine, great staff, great atmosphere, bloody great pleasure!
Good grub, good wine and handsome, talented lads in the kitchen - what more do you want? Do yourself a flavour - those duck fat potatoes, my oh my.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, spot on wine list and sexy chefs. Hidden gem of a courtyard out that back - couldn't recommend a visit higher. What more could you want!
Beautiful venue, outstanding (and very affordable!) drinks list, delicious food and amazing staff. Will be returning here soon no doubt. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
Cozy wine bar with good variety of food tasting options. Staff more than happy to discuss varieties of wine on offer and provide tastings. Good quality wines by the glass. Nice warm, dimly lit environment. Worth a visit.
Great wine list with some interesting wines, varied locations and styles, and a enough unusual stuff to keep you from getting bored. Great food including snacks, little plates and some more impressive options. Great service and even open on a Monday!
Walked across from Brunswick, sat at the bar, and ordered everything from the snacks menu along with some wines by the glass. Everything was fantastic. And lovely staff.
It was my great experience having top quality wine at Little Andorra. I was really so happy with a great hospitality and vegetarian food I had, it was a dish cooked by a Turkeys Cheff.
Thanks to Little Andorra.
I booked the private dining room for 6 for my husband’s 40th. Everything from the food to the wines, from the decor to the service was lovely. We enjoyed our night very much. The carrot with smoked yogurt dip was divine.
Great food. Cool music. Lights were a little dim, but I should have bought my glasses :) they play vinyl which is a nice touch. And so much good wine.
Stumbled across this bar while heading out for dinner. Really cool relaxed vibe, friendly owner with a great knowledge of wine. Didn’t try the food, it looked good though.
Excellent new menu. Big flavours. Interesting combos. Great wine as usual.
Had a great Saturday lunch here the other day. The food was excellent and the wine selection fantastic. It seems rare to find such a unique and special restaurant nowadays in Melbourne, but this place is great! Will definitely be back. Cannot recommend it enough.
Amazing little wine bar with everything done to perfection. Great selection of wine to pair with food. Staff are well informed and service is down to earth and personable. Very very impressed
