The empanadas are beautiful for brunch.
Mushrooms corn & cheese is one of my favourite as well as chilli pulled beef. The staff is very welcoming. Feels like home!

We usually choose something from the amazing cake display. Caramel horn topped with chocolate was a nice, bite sized treat. Menu looks great, we really need to come here for dinner!

My partner and I come here every couple of weeks for breakfast. Staff are friendly and food is served quite quickly. A great place for something other than an avo smash for breaky!
Very friendly and interactive staff. Plenty of Gluten Free options available and the coffee is of a very high standard. I'm on first name basis with the staff now as I'm there nearly every day for a coffee.
One of my favourites in the west. It’s a grocer, a bottle shop, a deli, a cafe, a patisserie and a place to party! The staff are like visiting your Chilean relations (that you didn’t even know you had) and the food is that standard ie. mama would be impressed. What I particularly love about the food here is that it’s authentic, super fresh and they use high quality meat and dairy. Thanks Latin Foods!
Looked at reviews before the visit. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Inside is pretty rough, but the coffee was good.
Some food was priced good and some not so. Burrito at $17 I think would have to be pretty special. Had a pizza, that was lovely. Also had beer on tap which looked like the locals were getting into.
Happy to go back and check out other foods options.
Absolutely love this place, the food was good but a tad on the pricey side for the small portions, in particular the cheese arepas con chorizo, it was nice but not value for money and the chorizo was dry, food aside, we loved the latin vibe, i told my husband that i felt like I was on holiday overseas! The beef sandwich was delish (Chevito - No 7)! We also had the beef and onion Empanada which was tasty 👌 More salsa with the dishes would be nice and maybe look at finding a better way to cook the chips as they were tasteless. We will definately be back soon to try more of the dishes.
Very nice authentic South American food. It’s a grocer plus a restaurant. We ordered the steak sandwich - very tasty, great flavours. Just a bit on the pricey side though

I like the vibe of this place, interesting decos, mini market with lots of latin goodies and breads, not too mention it sells a wide variety of alcohol as well. We ordered churrassco, which was a pretty much a grilled slice of beef in a bun and chorizo. Both were good and mildly spicy. We also ordered chips which was average at best. It barely had any taste. The girl there was kind enough to give us a small bowl of mini salad/chilli to add the flavour, which we appreciated
Tasty and different.. this place is a real breath of fresh air and is not you're average cafe/restaurant. The menu is based around Latin foods and a range of (Latin) imported groceries, wine, beer, etc. are also available. I had the 'tres en uno' sandwich which was a luscious, spicy steak sandwich with cheese, avocado, mayo, green beans and deliciously tender medium rare steak strips..I really enjoyed this meal and would recommend it to anyone wanting to try something a little different.. Service was friendly and the place also seems to host music/dance classes/events and appears to be a bit of a cultural hub. These guys deserve to be supported and offering something unique and for not being just another standard cafe..
The Latin American bakery on Berwick Rd was closed, so we made a detour to this new place on Ballarat Rd.
Didn't even know it existed but we were surprised at all the amazing breads sweats and empanadas on offer, there was too much to choose from. We had a cheese empanadas and beef empanadas each which were both amazing and fresh.
Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back for dinner.

Quite simply, the best burgers and sandwiches I have ever had, the Chivito and Churrasco are my favourites and are amazing, fresh, so much taste and so filling. And that's just for starters, the pastries are wonderful, the wide assortment of drinks, its without question the best new place to come along into the area and has very addictive, top rate food. 5 stars!!!
If you are a meat and cheese lover then these Latin inspired sandwiches are for you, the steak is thin and not chewy so it doesn't pull out when you bite it, their chorizo is amazing not too spicy, thick and cooked all the way through and salad is fresh. Staff and owners are super nice and will help you decide what you want. We did a phone order for pick up and the empanadas were still crispy and oozing with cheese (I suspect the mozzarella was fresh) and their churos were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle so were their chips, shoe string and salted perfectly. If they started a delivery service I would be ordering literally 3 times a week cos I got all the way back to Taylor's road and the food was like it had just come off the grill! It's a must try and their menu in store has a lot more then they have online. its a beautiful addition to the west food scene
Being a fan of the previous place, I was eager to try this new establishment to see if they great taste was still the same. I ventured there over two Sundays, the first time going for my favourite number 2 - The Barros Luco and why simple to make, it certainly wash a delicious dish, so I was pleased there.
I decided to take the family back a few Sundays later and ordered a new item of the special menu board - the Chicken Burrito. Why certainly small in statute and size for $18, it was certainly a tasty item.
Disappointingly though, I ordered the Nachos with Chilli Con Carne advertised for $15 and was saddened that it didn't actually come with Chilli Con Carne or beef or any such item. On questioning the server who brought the food out about the missing beef, he simply replied "NO". Much to my annoyance, the nachos minus the chilli con carne / beef was not very nice.
I will stick to the number 2 Barros Luco.
Didn't realize the whole place was changed and it was a pleasant surprise to have a nice eating area. Ordered a completo and it was pretty good. A very good friend of mine is Chilean and the taste was almost spot on to what they have at family functions. Something was missing, but I can't put my finger on it. Coffee was pretty good - wasn't burnt at all. I didn't like the chips because they were thin like McDonald's chips and they're my least favorite type. Overall pretty good. Could be either a little bigger serving or a little cheaper in price.
Really looked forward to trying this one out and disappointed, I was not! Such a simple yet thorough menu offering light bites though to large meals.
The vast and wide drink options also exceed expectation and anyone with a South American heritage will likely get their homesickness peaked by the array of options both wet, dry & sweet.
Settled on the Churrasco roll with a grape Postobon. Roll was soft and pliable and filling was both generous and fresh. Meat perfectly cooked, juicy and sliced perfectly. Added some salsa and mustard to kick it along a bit, as I love a Chilli hit.
The sweet offerings are clearly from Marcianos which only serve to complete the authenticity of a full Latin menu from starter to dessert.
A must to try in Melbourne, especially given the lack of Latin representation.
Absolutely incredible, authentic Latin food. The Carnicero is like a mixed grill in a sandwich, with the best chorizo I've ever had. The beef is mouth watering too.
Extremely affordable as well, you'll be very full for only $12.
On top of that, they have an awesome bakery (such great cakes and custard donuts) and deli selection, and the staff are the friendliest you'll find :) Amazing coffee too!
Fantastic burgers at good prices. There's a good variety to choose from, I had the chacarero. Juicy beef and who knew that green beans goes well on burgers. It's listed as spicy, but I don't think so - not that that's a problem. Desserts look good, though I didn't give them a try. Can't wait to go back.

My family is Chilean and loves coming here for the great South American food, drinks, pastries, cakes, imported goods and the list goes on 👍 great service from the lovely owners and those who work there and to top it off, they make a delicious coffee and fresh bread. I've been going since their last location in Deer Park and it has never disappointed. Happy I'm a local in the area. Highly recommend!! 🤗🙌

Lovely service and amazing food! My absolute fav is the Colombian tamales. Very generous with the meat portion in the tamales. I should really try the other items on their menu but the tamales is too good 🤗

Great food and friendly service. The tacos were fresh and flavourful with all the texture and colour you hope for in a taco. The Spicy Cuban pork was perfectly balanced with the heavy pork flavours complimented by the tang and mild spice of the jalapenos. One of the best restaurants in Melton. If only they were open at night.

Amazing find! We really our meal here, including empanadas, pastel de choclo and chorillana. We also had chaja and flan—both delicious. The place is great as well and has a great family vibe to it. On top of that they have a bottle shop with lots of SA spirits and wines and a grocery section with great items you can’t find in just any grocery store. We will definitely be visiting again and recommending to anyone looking for delicious and authentic food.
