Review La Headquarters Cafe - Melton

We had Over 40 people with several kids. The staff were very good, meals were fast and exceptionally presented. Meals were very good value. I will be back as everyone who had the fish raved about it.

As always, good company adds to a good night out; but it would be so much better at a good venue, and La Headquarters Cafe fits the bill perfectly. The ambience is unobtrusive; staff working quietly in the background providing first rate quality service, generous servings at prices that do not have a shock factor all go towards a memorable night out. Definitely worth a return visit.

Some of the worst food I have paid for would never go back!! Extremely oily bland and looked like road kill on the plate. The only positive I could find was the waitress was really nice and friendly.

If there was a 0 star option this would be it. I had the Pho beef noodle soup and it tasted like noodles in water with boiled meat. My partner had chicken schnitzel amd chips and it was full of oil.

I've always enjoyed the meals here, nothing to fancy which for me makes it more enjoyable, service is promt and staff friendly.

Awesome staff, great food. Good mid ranged cafe. The pork two ways was delicious!

Ive travelled a bit and compare other meals with here and there never as good as here. And the staff have excellent people skills

Definitely improved food since last time I went. Must be under new management or new chef. Will definitely be back.

This business appears to be permanently closed. I arrived on Saturday during business hours and the place was shut and the phone is disconnected.

Service was great, but the dinner meals were not as satisfying as they used to be. In recent years, the meals were better value for money in flavour, freshness and quality. Might be good for a light lunch, but I wouldn't suggest this restaurant as a dinner destination.

Its basically the go-to lunch place in Melton, nice staff, and good meals, the only thing I can recommend is to change the menu around a little, but overall, great job!

Quiet place, but the food was ooh la la, beautiful. Friendly staff and chef came out to ask if meals were fine. hope to get back soon to try more of the menu. <br/>Wife had Cajun Chicken and loved it, i had salmon, beautiful. highly recommended.

Easily the best coffee in town, never received a bad coffee from here. new menu is Vietnamese based however has some old favorites. The food is fantastic - been here a dozen times in the past 6 months and haven't had a bad meal yet. The service received is FANTASTIC - high attention to detail and friendly, The waitress has more attention for a 1/2 full restaurant than many of the other large names restaurants in Melton where they only have 3 tables to attend.La Headquarters has fast become my favorite Melton restaurant/cafe.

Have been here a couple of times. I don't know with this place, its very uninviting and a uncomfortable restaurant. Its very cramped to the point where its hard to walk from the front door to the counter. Coffees are not the best, and from the success of 'Parma night' I'm thinking food could be better. If you are after a coffee wouldn't recommend this place. A few blocks up there is Espresso Lane coffee whom are fantastic...on the same block as LA Headquarters about ten shops down try Nagi Chicken for the best foods and salads:-).....

Walked in and was greeted by the smell of fries. Yum! Stared at the other patron munching on what seemed to look like hot and crunchy fries and was tempted to order a second breakfast. However the only lady working was super quick to take our order, which prevented me from seriously considering whether to be a glutton. Shared a cheesecake that seriously did not taste anything like a cheesecake, and had a coffee each. Latte was decent;, I'm not talking specialty coffee standards here, just coffee as a beverage standard. Seems like a popular place for lunch and meet up for the ladies in Melton due to the spacious and brightly lit and not to mention clean interior. And judging from sight, food looks pretty good, will need to return and be the judge next time.

Fantastic! Great service, friendly staff and tasty food. The frittata was delicious and the chips were the best I e had in a long time.<br/>The other reviews do not equate to my experience at all!

Huge meals. Yes this is good place to eat at. The meals are huge and the food is great. I would recommend the food.

Changed menu for the new year. Now basically all Asian. <br/>Hubby wanted the Caesar salad. Can't get any more. <br/>Not many options we would have. <br/>No pizza pasta anything. Probably won't come back.

Average lunch expierence. Went in for lunch today to the La headquarters cafe, order the steak chips and salad the steak said it was served medium.. it was well done and wasn't sealed properly and tasted stewed. also the steak sandwich said it was served on sourdough bread. it was sliced white bread toasted which went soggy. i ate it because we were starving so it had to do. when i went to pay for it i told the lady that it was overcooked and she said "you should have said something earlier" i also questioned her on the bread and she denied the fact that it was white bread she said its sourdough! its the only bread we use. which is a lie because they have sandwiches on there menu.<br/><br/>the chips were good though

Slow service, bad attitude from the owner. Over rated & over priced. No split bill permitted.

Awesome parmas. Went there last year. Tried again recently. Just as good. Love their parmas.

Was in today for lunch, ordered a bowl of chips, 2 x bruschetta, 2 x nachos, beer battered prawns and a margherita with salami. Nacho chips were stale, salsa was more like sweet chilli sauce and guacemole was crap from a jar. Pizza was foul, salami was piled on and tasted cheap and nasty. Waitresses seemed like they were in over their heads. <br/>Go for breaky or a coffee. But avoid it otherwise, unless your food is deep fried.

Favourite breaky in Melton! I love the eggs Benedict and the staff are friendly. They also make a good coffee. Dinner menu is also good.

Great food, great service. Had been there for breakfast and decided to do Mother's Day there. It was fantastic. They were busy. One reviewer mentioned they didn't get serviced. We got very prompt service and the food was delicious. Keep up the good work. We'll be back. Thinking of doing my 40th bash there.

Absolute bad service bad management and it's not BYO one of the reviews said it was and we bought our wine with us thank god because they didn't come near our table for the first hour. My family and I would never go there again. We went on mothers day after booking well in advance and they did not have enough staff on to cope. Wake up and increase staff or you will be out of business. Anyway word of mouth is the best advertising and for 20 of us you have lost our business and the people we tell..

Cafe style restaurant. La Headquarters is very "hit and miss" in the quality of it's Chicken Parma.<br/>Depending on who is the chef de jour you will either get a top notch Parma that rates amongst the best in the west, or a burnt offering that would have Gordon Ramsey swearing like a trooper.<br/>Staff comprises a bevvy of young women in tight pants who run around like they have pepper sprayed in their spandex.<br/>Sorry, but what was once a weekly meal has turned into a visit only if nothing else takes my fancy<br/>C+ from me.

I like the food, but the young waitresses are so bitchy it's off putting ... Spend some money on staff who can smile, I liked the older waitresses

SHOCKER..no more to say !!

Visited on a Thursday night, due to no other venue being open for a coffee (except pubs), set up was ok, decor needs updating, food came out quickly and tasted ok. However upon ordering coffees they commenced their shut down - sweeping floors, mopping floors, using strong bleach. Unfortunately this turned us off our drinks and so soon after we'd eaten wasn't a great experience either.

Best eggs benedict ever! Have been there plenty of times and always had great meals!!

Best of the bunch for a small town. Have eaten here for breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, coffe and cake etc. I have not experienced what the other reviewers have, EVER!<br/>The food has always come out within a good time frame, always hot, they are always willing to change things around if you want something on the side or to make a substitute..<br/>My only complaint is that the coffee is not hot enough. sent a coffee back 3 times as it was only luke warm to be told on the last attempt that is the only way they make them there as that is what they are taught, disappointing not to be teaching staff to make a hot coffe, so i got it taken off the bill with no attitude and no problem. <br/>Food is above average for a pub and if you loook around the area there is very little in the way of a "good cafe" or restaraunt without going out of town.

Overpriced meals for The tastelessly bland pub meal style that they manage to get wrong... The waitresses are rude, the chef is a pig and the lady who is the face of the business can't handle criticism and again is very rude... Could not organize a chook raffle between them constantly bring meals out too late and do not offer apology... And when questioned, like the previous review said... You get attitude! Worst overpriced rotten experience.... EVER!

Food nice shame about the service. This cafe is for those that don't care about good service the main meals are nice however the pathetic service you encounter leave a horrible taste in your mouth.<br/><br/>I have attempted and give chances to this restaurant cafe 3 times and it really is three strikes and you are out. A table of two is sat down and then once you have your first drink and have ordered your meal you are ignored so forget about trying to order any additional drinks.<br/><br/>On a second occasion we were told at 7 pm when we were wanting a dessert that they were not serving dessert for atleast a hr yet as the kitchen was too busy mind u the restaurant was only half full.<br/><br/>And the third and final strike a table of 7 they sent out 6 of the mains and then the final took another 10 minutes and when questioned they said they had a lot going on ( at 40 % capacity I think not ) to allow them to redeem themselves we attempted dessert again all bar one come out together again when questioned they give attitude basic customer service really does not apply to this place. Mind you there dessert options are also rubbish and not what the menu description promises so I say stick with a main only <br/><br/>It really is a shame as the mains were quite good but I would never ever ever recommend this place to my freinds as service can really ruin a night .
