Review Q Lounge - Melton

Samuel McDonald
Had a pleasant lunch today with my wife at the Q Lounge. The staff were extremely polite and we both did enjoy our meals.

Very good place, fantastic environment. Personal parties, function etc. can be done here Open deck and beer garden is also available with a good variety of food, alcohol. Dine in restaurant and a good place to enjoy in the weekend.

Outdoor area is very tired. Has got worse since last visit 2 years ago. Chairs have all been repaired with gaffer tape, which is peeling off. Table edges are very rough, and snag clothes. And who repairs a broken couch by propping it up with house bricks?? In fact, all the furniture in the outside area should be replaced. Not like Q Lounge isn't making money. The food was up to standard though, thank goodness.

Not to bad, nice on the inside but very very loud when it starts to fill up, food was ok not fantastic, had a risotto which was very oily and abit flavourless. Staff are friendly and food was served promptly, the entree was the highlight!

Dinner was nice and dessert. Only problem drunk and loud people walking through to use the toilets. Besides from that friendly staff and good food

Too many choices and not enough quality. The menu needs to be simplified as to not confuse the diner with too many choices. Quality of meal wasn't the best after having such a long decision making process

Although the Q lounge doesn’t boast a large number of gluten free dishes and a few of them made me question whether or not they were in fact safe for me to eat; I didn’t find myself having any adverse reaction to the food. The wait staff were extremely helpful, when we went up to order my meal, I double checked that the Risotto that came with the meal was not thickened with wheat flour and that the marinate or basil pesto didn’t contain any gluten. The woman behind the counter smiled and cheerfully noted that all ingredients were checked but they would note on the docket that the meal was for a Coeliac so that the Chef took extra care...

We went with a group, we were meant to have table service but were waiting for 25 mins to get drinks and the entire night was like that, staff didn't appear to care as they couldn't get the drinks right either. air con was not working, after everyone was complaining to least open the windows did they an hour later, the food was average to poor, I ordered the fisherman basket and spent half the night throwing up, other mains looked average. Do not recommend to anyone, note to management lift your game before someone becomes seriously ill.

Nice. Fantastic food again after getting their old chef back. I was worried because I had some very average food there lately but now the problem is fixed. By far the best coffee in Melton.

Poor quality food. I ordered the lamb shanks and they tasted microwaved and unfresh, vegetables were limb and gravy was disgusting.

4 of us ordered at the same time but we didn't eat together. 1 meal came out 45 minutes before the last.

We complained to the manager and instead of acknowledging and apologizing he couldn't care less.

I am very unhappy with this experience and Im sorry I wasted my money with this sub standard menu.

Service was prompt, friendly and fast. Food however, was a major let down. It's pretty hard to mess up a standard parma, but this place managed to do it.

Been here quite a few times. I like the food and the venue. But I have to be honest they have some of the worst staff I have ever seen. We went one time with a friend who has severe food allergies. She explained this before we went here and they said yes they had experience with cooking in these conditions... The manager assured us it would be fine. One vote of her food and her tongue swelled with a reaction and her meal was inedible. The manager came and asked how the meals were and we explained and he just turned and walked away. No apology. They also made us pay for the meal and no further mention. So that was one experience and we have been back since just for ourselves and yes food is good but wait and bar staff let it down every time. Word of advice don't order entrees... They try to give you it at the same time as the mains.
