Review Pappa's Ocean Catch - Melton

I no longer live in the area, but i make sure to pop in whenever I'm in town. Consistent/great quality with generous portions. Staff have always been refined and polite, with a focus on friendly service. You must try their potato cakes/scallops!

Been going here for ages but seriously! Tonight I paid over $6 for a piece of flake that was barely the size of a potato cake. That's disgraceful. Will have to rethink my patronage.

Amazing food!! Batter is very crispy and doesn’t get soggy like other places. The burgers here are consistently done right!! Also very friendly staff and fast service. Would highly recommend!

Been ordering from Pappa's for ages now. I decided to go a Burger instead of my usual Flake. Selected the Hawaiian. Was absolutely delicious. Not soggy, but still tender and yumm. Never go anywhere else for Fish and Chips. Cheers

I visited here a few weeks ago and ordered a Chicken Burger and for dessert had a Banana Fritter. In terms of service they were fast & efficient. I would definitely recommend this place for regular Fish & Chips customers.👌

wow.... rarely does anyone get the spring roll right when we ask for it overcooked, it was perfect, tyvm. The fried fish with the lot souvlaki was indeed yummy. A very nice meal guys. Thank you.

Seems to change owners frequently, but the current operators are doing a great job if my recent visit is any indication. Everything was hot, fresh, and so yummy 😋

The new owners are doing great. 13/06/2019 - Staff member made the effort and took the time to ensure the new bread buns did not contain alcohol and were vegetarian. Great service with a friendly attitude and smile. Ordered a fish burger and a Flake pack for 1. The flake was delicious, obviously fresh. The burger was extremely nice and i enjoyed the new buns. 27/07/2020 - still great quality. Still impressed. Thanks.

Portions smaller, fish small and dry! Used to be great but no more, sorry not coming back

Was really good food, clean shop, friendly staff. <br/>Wife and I had a burger with the lot and two dimmies and a lamb souvlaki and two crumbed prawns. 👌🏼<br/>Only thing that needs updating is the price on the menu on line as its way out of date.

Had a great experience here today. The most friendly service and good quality food. The place was very clean, food was cooked fresh and very tasty. Will definitely be back.

Food going down hill. We have frequented pappas for a while now and rhw last month or so it has been terrible. The order is sometimes wrong and without fail the chips/potato cakes/hot dogs are always soggy. We waited over half an hour and it was inedible. I believe the food sat there for 15 mins before my name was even called as I sat there the whole time. Will not be returning

I was greeted as soon as I walked in the store; and even though they were busy, they said they'd be with me shortly. The order taker took my order well, gave me good options, and was clear. The food; was amazing. I love pumpkin cakes; and they were terrific... The store was clean & cheery, and there was a great vibe throughout.

Delicious. Hands down the best fish & chips in melton I drive past 4 other fish and chip shops because I love the food at pappas ocean catch & the owners are the nicest people & they want nothing but to make their customers happy & if you think they need to improve on something they even have a suggestion box for customers so if you want the yummiest fish and chips go to pappas ocean catch :-)

Cheap, Disgusting and nasty. I just got fish and chips and 2 burgers. The food was absolutely disgusting. The burger meat patty was still raw and hardly anything in the burger. I waited nearly 35 minutes for a small meal. I am never coming back again! You have lost a loyal costumer

Not cooked properly and took too long.. Just had the worst fish &chips.......barely cooked and some not at all, i got battered prawns instead of crumbed prawns which tasted like bleach, got 11 potatoe cakes 7 more than asked for and greasy and it took more than 45mins for the order to be cooked and it cost way more than my normal fish and chip shop which was closed for long wkend....urgh :'(

Pappas Ocean catch. Considering I work in front line customer service and been to a lot of fish n chip shops this is the best place I've been to. Everyone said hello and acknowledged me even though I was late passed closing time they were so pleasant! Absolutely amazed when I left. I am also gluten free and had a talk about it the lady was fantastic she had previously called the manufacturer and confirmed the chips are gluten free and made the best grilled fish I've had. Food was great and cooked perfectly.

Fresh fish daily. Cooked perfectly great service great price wont go anywhere elce
