Always loved this bar, great Friday afternoon for work drinks or just a casual lunch. Fantastic place to meet locals and always have a great vibe. Food is tasty and really good variety too. Love having this place so local and accessible. Definitely worth a try if you have not been yet.
First time at this bar today with my daughter. All I can say is Wow. From the minute we walked in we were greated with a smile, sat outside and was offered water and menu. We ordered 3 dishes and two beautiful lush apple cocktails Yum. All the food was delicious and the staff were so friendly. Would highly recommend Bad Apple to my friends. We will be back. Keep up the lovely vibe and friendly service. Thanks for the beautiful french champagne to celebrate my daughters birthday. X
LOVE this place, cool & cosy...chic & upmarket. Bar staff are very attentive and have memorised what we drink.
Highly reccomend thier Korean chicken wings & the cheese board is to die for.
Highly reccomend :)
Delicious food, well priced, with something for everyone on the menu. Diverse collection of beer, wine and cocktails, and the staff were very helpful!
Girls night out with my dear friend last night: fabulous service and the food was 5 star! I highly recommend the smokey salmon and the scallops followed by the creme brûlée and spiced rum tart. Couldn't fault any of the meals and felt very spoilt. Definitely going back in the very near future!
Have been a few times but becoming a regular Sunday evening...... awesome service fab food & most importantly fab wine ... love it
Great steamed beef slider and a meaty wrap starter, meaty pizza, great friendly service ! Loved my glass of Italian pinot grigio so much I have bought a case of it!
We had such a great visit to Bad Apples 🍎 yesterday - we didn't know it was under new management and were surprised and impressed at how much they'd raised the bar. Amazing pizzas, fresh, authentic but with a twist and good reasonably priced wine. The new manager Murray was personable but professional and lively. So pleased to see Bad Apples on top form! We will be back soon thanks 👍👍
Great venue! Delicious food and wine. The service was impeccable, the best I have ever had in Perth.
I have been coming to Bad Apples for a while and they have always been great but came back tonight after a few months and the waitresses (Shelby and Indi) were stand out. Shelby went above and beyond from the beginning and then Indy started and was equally as friendly and accommodating. They both had excellent customer service and great memory recall- was noticeably above average!!!
Love Bad Apples... food great ... staff fab very happy and attentive
Great food, great cocktails and friendly and knowledgeable staff!
We went to Bad Apples for the first time on Sunday and it was great. Relaxing, great food and enjoyed the cocktails especially the Apple Cross Eye 😊
Sensational spot for a cold beer, glass of wine and a catch up with friends.
Food is so good here and the cocktails are top notch. The Korean chicken wings are a must try but truly have never had a bad dish. Service always friendly.
We have been regular visitors at Bad Apples Bar Applecross for a casual lunch/dinner but recently booked an indoor space at the bar for our cocktail style engagement party. From the initial booking calls to the night of our engagement party, we were blown away with the professionalism and accommodating nature of everyone involved. Our events Manager Dillon, was in regular and timely contact with us leading up to our event to ensure that it ran as smoothly as possible. The price for the event food was very reasonable and Dillon helped us to pick a beverage plan that suited our night.
Murray (Bad Apples Bar owner), made us feel that nothing was too much or too hard in the lead up to and during the night of our engagement party. The night went fantastically and we had everyone commenting on how kind, cheerful and friendly all the staff were!
We chose 3 food items for our cocktail event; arancini balls, selection of pizza and pulled pork buns and everyone commented to us on how delicious the food was. Dillon was fantastic at 'reading' the room with how much food was getting eaten so he slowed down or sped up the food delivery management based on this.
Overall we had such an amazing night and so did our guests! We will definitely be booking our next function at Bad Apples Bar Applecross and highly recommend it to others looking for a venue with friendly staff, great food and a relaxed atmosphere.
Brooke and Jayden
thoroughly enjoyed this cute little bar! has a wide variety of drinks that were delicious, food was impressive and the mood and lighting was great
Our waiter was really nice with a relaxed vibe that I appreciated. Food took ages but it's amazing how much you just don't care when you get a sincere apology from a waiter without having to complain. Amazing flavours in the tuna dish, likewise with the octopus. Top notch bar food! Thank you!
Enjoyed a delightful family meal out on Easter Monday night at Bad Apples for my son’s birthday. Food was delicious, the atmosphere was excellent and the service & generosity of the Owner was unbeatable. Thoroughly recommend the Korean chicken wings, seared tuna and creme brûlée. Coffee was fabulous as well. Thank you Bad Apples for a wonderful evening! If you haven’t tried this place or not been there for a while, you’ve got to go and check it out!!
We started off with the oven baked bread with truffle oil. The bread was interesting, with a nutty bitter after taste. The texture of the bread was good, soft on the inside, and crispy on the outside.
Our mains was the Seared Tuna and Teriyaki Salmon. Portion wise, a little small, but flavour wise was great. The salmon came with black rice and quinoa provided a nice savoury crunch which complemented the slightly sweet yet salty salmon. The salmon itself was cooked well, and all the elements of the dish combined well together. The Seared Tuna came with fish roe on top and some wasabi mayo and yuzu purée. Overall a very fresh and tasty dish when combined. I would’ve loved a little more yuzu purée, but the wasabi mayo was more than enough!
The pizza we ordered was the prawn, chilli and choriander with slaw. It was slightly lacking taste wise. The prawns were nice but there was only about 1 per slice of pizza. What we liked about the prawns in particular was that they butterflied it, kind of showing that its well cleaned. the slaw was a little awkward to eat on the pizza however, as it was heavy and kept falling off. We ended up just eating it separately which was still fine.
The creme brûlée was a nice finish, and came with two pieces of shortbread.
Great place for a late-night drink and nibbles. Went for drinks after dinner and enjoyed the variety of drinks and casual yet friendly service. I like that the place isn't too loud and people can have a conversation while they eat and drink.
Great ambience, service and a menu that is compact but thoughtful. Wines list is stupendous and the dispenser means you can select premium wines by the glass. New owner Murray is a top bloke and active in the business.
We came here for drinks a couple of time. So far, we always had a great time here. Never try their food yet. Cocktails here are pretty good. Quite a nice local bar in a suburb area .

7pm Friday night and this place is packed! From the moment we walked in, this place is great from the service to the food to the ambience. Pizzas we're fresh and tasty with good quality ingredients, the stand out was the coffee martini 😱!! The best ... you must !! Just simply the best !! 🙏🏼🙋🏼.
Dropped in mid week after work to meet with family. It was quiet and we snagged one of the couch/loungers outside which was super comfy and awesome. I also loved that they have Two Birds on tap (one of my favourite brewers). Drink prices seemed reasonable, I haven't tried their food but will update when I do, currently rated for drinks, staff, atmosphere...
Bad Apples Bar is located among the busy group of restaurants and shops around the corner of Riseley Street and Canning Highway in Ardross. Renay and I were recently invited to sample the menu, and went along for lunch on a Saturday. The lengthy, well stocked bar is the main feature of the venue, although the Enomatic Wine System you can see at the back stands out. Most of the seating is bar-style, although there are quite a few couches scattered about and some additional seating outside.
The wagyu beef sliders (2 for $16.00) were an impressive plate – simple but well executed. The buns were buttery and toasted on the outside, with soft, fluffy centres. The beef was peppery, topped with a BBQ chipotle sauce, mozzarella and sitting atop of iceberg lettuce and tomato. Juicy, well seasoned and heroed the meat and bread in particular.
Interesting tapas, great cocktails and friendly staff in a relaxing atmosphere. Love the wine machine as you can try a taster size before going the whole hog. Will be back
Many moons ago, my office was based in Mt Pleasant. It is a beautiful suburb right near the river but I wouldn’t say that the lunch options around my old office were necessarily abundant. So when I heard Bad Apples Bar was opening in Applecross I made a point to visit. It was a nice spot but the office shifted and I don’t often find myself back in that part of the world. A recent email let me know that Bad Apples was under new management and had a Winter menu on offer. My memories of previous visits were fond, so I organised a Saturday lunchtime to call in with my favourite eating companion, GG. We arrived a touch before 12 and had a choice of seating options and opted for the couch style seating which had plenty of comfortable pillows.

We decided to share a few dishes between the both of us. We had the crispy skin barramundi with cannellini beans, baby carrots, herb pesto and chat potatoes ($28). It was a hearty dish. The skin of the barramundi was crispy and the barramundi itself was well cooked and tender. We loved the smooth and subtle texture of the cannellini bean puree which complements so well with the barramundi.
I’d been kindly invited to Bad Apples in Ardross, near Applecross. I don’t venture south of the river too much, so I was excited to visit a bar that I’d heard great things about on the Perth foodie grapevine. I met one of my oldest friends there – Miss G “The Dancer”. There’s a classy lounge area, high tables near the bar (with AFL for the footy fans) and the outside alfresco area too. Miss G and I met there to have a tasty weekend lunch catch-up over a drink or two.
Went on a Sunday night and the venue wasn't too crowded. The food menu is quite small. Tried the prawn pizza which had some good spice to it and the prawns were tender and juicy. Cocktails here are nice. A good local bar to have a few drinks with some mates.
Nice little corner bar in Applecross that will suit if you are looking for some tasty bar snacks and a good choice of booze. We had a good variety of plates, all of which were full of flavour and in general, had a good kick of spice. The only aspect that came up short for me was the chipotle coleslaw which was pretty well inedible. Chicken wings were deep fried, crispy and had a good medium sauce and the duck taco the highlight. Friendly service too. Enjoyable few hours.
In love with this place - the cocktails are made to perfection and you can actually see the care and effort that goes into making them. Have been to other places in the area and always end up utterly disappointed. Bad apples Never disappoints
Nice place to go for after work drinks. Food is great here too. Love how they have a wine vending machine as well! Love their duck tacos and scallops and their pizzas are yum.
Went to bad apples last night as recommended by a good friend of mine. Innitially wanted to go for drinks only, but cause we were running late we ended up having our small dinner there. They were quite packed when we rocked up there around 9pm, but a staff member still managed to accomodate us. There wasnt any seating outside or somewhere the bar, so we sat on the side near the window which was actually good, away from the loud noise.
We ordered a pizza to share, a cocktail and a sparkling. Cost $50 for all which is reasonably expensive. The food came out quite quickly along with our drinks. Pizza was surprisingly nice. The flavour was simple, but love the crunchy dough assuming its woodfired pizza. Then when i had a sip of my cocktail, it wasnt as good as i expected it to be. It tasted more like a juice with a vodka in it.. When its suppose to be this fizzy fruity cocktail. It still taste okay, just wasnt like what was described on the menu.
Then, before we went, we ordered a flatwhite and a longblack coffee. This again was surprisngly good coffee. Better than most bar coffees around.
Bad apples bar is a comfy, welcoming and youth place. Good food, theres alcohol, even better service, really cant complain. Would go back again one day to try their tapas.
I usually come here for a drink. The cocktails are good and as a wine lover I still love the novelty of the wine dispenser. Opting for a half glass of the pricey wines just so I can try it. I've been here for brunch and dinner and have not been disappointed. Service is good. The vibe is inviting, it's an ideal place to catch up with friends.
Hard to fault this place. Been too many times to count. The food is good, though might be time to change up the menu a little. Wine list is generally good too. Might want to establish some protocol on whether you offer table service or not when it gets busier. I noticed another patron ask and the staff member said 'sometimes'...
With all sorts of exciting menu options such as french toast with peaches and nut crumble; zuchinni corn bread with poached eggs and grilled corn salsa; and buttermilk blueberry pancakes it was a tough choice at Bad Apples! Brunch there was pleasant, and I would happily go back if I was in the area again.
Amazing cocktails and a great environment!
Pizza was delicious but the pork taco was a little lacking in flavour. Slightly annoying that the food didn't come out together but understandable. Great service and friendly staff, especially the man that was doing seat&greet
Over all great experience and will be back!
Went on saturday night with the girls... Place not as packed, got the inside lounge for just 3 of us, very spacey 😜 staffs were friendly and they serve us in timely manner. Great to hang out and chillax ps: monday is half price pizza^^
Bad apples bar was a pleasant surprise. Nice tapas style fla/fav-ourable food. Service was good and fast. Nothing exciting about the ambience but I won't complain. Not a bad choice around apple X
" I'll be back "
Went for an afternoon drink with a friend on a Friday. Bad Apples is a good place to hang out. We wanted to try the outdoor seating which looked really cosy, but unfortunately it was full. The place was well lit and I like the clean decoration. Will definitely come back to try on their breakfast and tapas menu.
What awesome food...great location with a decent amount of free of parking. We ordered six different dishes, a cocktail each and a bottle of sparkling wine to share totalling $180
The waiters were really lovely, the chef was very sweet, but the service was slow and a little unprofessional. I feel that, they may have understaffed the restaurant thinking that Monday night would not be busy, but unfortunately for the staff it was. Despite this hiccup you couldn't help but enjoy experience because the staff were so so lovely.
The outdoor seating area was fantastic, unlike most restaurants where the outdoor area is not as good. The area was fully in closed and there was outdoor heating as well.
Monday nights are half price pizza, which means the average price for a pizza is about $13 and the pizza is here Is really quite good. We had a popcorn prawn pizza which was surprisingly fantastic and a little bit different.
The only thing that was disappointing was the chocolate cake we had for desert.
All in all a fantastic evening and great atmosphere, I almost forgot to add, great music. I would definitely recommend for both families and couples.
Good wine. Nice wine list, good attentive staff
Good breakfast lovely staff
Fantastic. Went here for a celebratory drink for my dad's birthday. Pizza's were amazing and the chips for the kids were quickly re-ordered as the adults dived into them. Three dip platter was sensational. Service was attentive but not intrusive and the wine knowledge of the staff was first class. Found the self serve wine bar a great talking point and definitely allows you to sample a great range of wines that you might not think to try. Will be going again for sure.
Had a great time.. Went for breakfast with the family. Great service, beautiful food, generous servings. Awesome coffee. Will definitely
return.
First visit today was disappointed with our brunch it wasn't what was on the menu but other than that will go again a every one deserves a second chance
Food and service was good but that's were it ended. Group of 10 of us for my birthday and 7 people got there food and were finished eating by the time the other 3 got there's! The table setup is crap, only able to sit on high bar tables or lounges. Need to get proper setting inside. Overall pretty average.
Best all around breakfast experience in Perth. My wife and I have been in Perth for a few years now and as any responsible citizens of a city,... you start to explore it for food havens and gems. We did breakfast at the Bad Apples on a voucher, and (going on a ledge here)... best all-round breakfast experience in Perth on a budget.
Big Breakfast: good portions and well done
COFFEE: Nice, creamy and perfect bitterness for the morning
Service: Friendly, accommodating and always with a big Smile!
Would I go there again on a Voucher, in a heartbeat!
Would I go there again without a Voucher,... Yes!
Whilst I don't often venture out of the city on Saturday nights, my visit to bad apples was well worth it. Great crowd, fabulous service and tasty food (I loved the pork belly, girls loved the chicken wings). I'll be back! Perfect winters night out.
Cosy! :). Really liked this place. Warm and cosy on a winters day. Great ambience and service was great also. Always good to see new places opening in Perth and especially in new areas other than the usual.
Saturday breakfast. We were three of the 2000 people to head to bad apples for breakfast this morning. We sat outside, and our table waitress visited promptly and explained gently that they were very busy and to expect a wait, which was very helpful! She also helped point out all the gluten free options available as i am celiac. Service was always with a smile, and she was always close by if we needed anything. Food and drinks did take a significant time to come to the table, but it was worth the wait! Just one small thing the gluten free bread was a bit chewy and cold. But overall a great meal, and looking forward to coming back.
So finally went to Bad Apples this morning to try the new breakfast. We were greeted by a lovely young lady and were seated and given our menu, everything sounded delicious!
I decided on the chorizo bruchetta and my husband had the spicy beans and chorizo. Our coffee and juice came out promptly. It was busy and we did wait sometime for our meals however but it was worth the wait! The best breakfast I have had in along time. The servings were generous and super tasty, not sure what kind of chorizo they use but it was the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back.
New owners, new menu. So much better than my last visit here. Popped in for dinner tonight with friends. Ordered the Teriyaki Salmon with Black Rice and Crispy Quinoa salad. The dish was beautiful. Salmon was cooked so well, it fell apart with my fork! Marinade was beautiful and rich. Loved the mix of crisp, crunch quinoa against the soft, nutty black rice. The dish was presented beautifully. Would totally order again.
Cheers to Jaime and Thomas , another fantastic afternoon, thanks guys !
Great service. Had a a great time. The service was great i think his name was Matt.
Best pizza ever. This place has the best pizza my partner and I have ever tasted. We love going to this place purely to have the wild mushroom and truffle pizza. Absolutely beautiful!
Fantastic Food & Service. My wife & I had a fantastic early dinner here, consisting of a variety of delicious tapas selections. The service was prompt & friendly, creating a nice atmosphere in which to enjoy the fine morsels of food and great wine that we selected from their menu.
The wait staff are a credit to this establishment and we will definitely dine here again.
Nice vibe and good service. We were in the area and so decided to try this new small bar. As soon as we walked I the door we were cheerfully greeted and shown to our seats. Being such a hot day we only wanted a drink and a snack. We had a local beer that was on tap (the red session ale) which was delicious. What really impressed me about this place was the attention to service. The people who work there seem to enjoy working there and interact well with customers. It's great to see small bars popping up away from the city centre, giving the locals a place to go to chill out. This place seemed really relaxed and the crowd was diverse. I would definitely come here again.
Yum Yum Yum!!!. It was our 1st time at Bad Apples and YUM! We shared the Wagyu beef sliders & polenta & corn rolls.
The service was speedy gonzales quick, the staff super friendly and the food came out promptly.
I rare find good things to say about food in Perth but this is a gem!! I
will be back!
NICE ONE LADS! (And ladettes). I congratulate the team at Bad Apples on firstly finding such a great spot, and secondly for opening such a great bar! I often dine here on weekdays either for a business lunch or a sweet break from my full time job which is local. Or for a relaxing few hours with one friend or many; its always a win for me!! The food is always AWESOME, the pizza’s are perfecto, we always enjoy! and well, the staff, I cannot say enough – friendly, prompt service, nothing is too much trouble, and I LOVE the fact the team there can present themselves in casual dress and it feels like we are mingling with friends who are looking after us at their home. The chef is always open to assisting diners who may need a little something changed in a particular dish to one’s liking – without taking offence. (Be it allergic or ask for reasons – all too obliging). The lads down there in particular are super service orientated and it’s always a pleasure to go to Bad Apples. I have found somewhere SOR where I truly enjoy – any time of the day – any day of the week! Keep up the good work team. Tell your boss I said BIG UPS!!! X Lip
Sweet Apple!. Visited Bad Apples for the first time recently and will be back! Friendly and efficient service, delicious food (sliders, mushroom a standout) and good range of ciders to perfectly quench one's thirst!
A great apple. Dined here Friday night and we were not disappointed. Rarely head out this way, but Bad Apples Bar is in an awesome location and brings with it a great vibe in an area already busy with local restaurants.
Tried to book a few days before but they only take bookings for groups of 10 or more. No matter. We headed down about 7 (5 of us) and ordered drinks inside. With not long to wait, a table in the alfresco became available so we grabbed it while we could. The service was immediate and remained outstanding throughout the rest of the evening. Made me think the owners were serving because they were really attentive and quick to serve us and the other dining patrons continually through the night.
Ordered food to share: chicken skewers (2), 2 serves of the chips, Korean pork belly (3 pieces), lamb ribs and 3 pizzas; the chorizo, the chicken and the haloumi. Sounds like a lot but the bar portions are on the smaller side although the pizzas are a decent serve.
The food was really really good and we demolished it all. Highlights would be the pork belly and the chicken pizza. Fantastic flavours and everything was fresh and piping hot. Slight hiccup with the chips coming out last but it wasn't a problem at all. The waiter (owner) was really apologetic and let us know he had informed the kitchen they were missing. Drinks were continually ordered and brought out promptly. When one drink failed to arrive, the guy dealing with our table brought out the bill to double check it hadn't been added twice which I thought was really honest of him.
Peronis, beers and gin were drunk throughout the evening and they offer various options of gin/vodka for drinks.
All up the bill came to $320 which for 5 people was more than reasonable for great night of food and drinks and outstanding service. Clearly by the amount of people enjoying themselves there, this place is known and loved. Will definitely be someone I'll head to again soon.
Decided to stop here because we were starving, had chicken skewers, wagyu sliders and the hand cut chips. Service was good food was great ...... Will defiantly be back when we are out this way
Our new local. This is what Perth needs more of. And it's certainly what we need more of in the poor old forgotten southern suburbs. Small, attractive wine bar venues with good food and good service. Love it.
The best service I have ever experienced at a Perth wine bar. Visited on a Saturday night and the crowd was very young - early 20's - and so I'd like to return to see what the vibe is like at other times. Good range of drinks but the food is overpriced (oh Perth...).
Fantastic service on a busy Friday. Even without a booking the guys managed to get us three lovely girls seting, and excellent cocktails. I'll be back.
We've been having regular meetings my team and I every Sat at noon. The service is outstanding and food is great. Free wifi, at that time not too busy yet. Great place to gather!
Great for a big group catch-up, with excellent cocktails and friendly staff. The spring rolls were possibly the nicest I've had - juicy and packed with flavour - no photos as I was too occupied with eating mine!
Great atmosphere.
Good prices.
Friendly service.
Delicious food.
LOVED that the staff were road-safety minded. Ensuring any drivers were aware of alcohol content etc.
Haven't been back to the place in sometime but the food is just as good, staff were good with service and happy to accommodate our request even though the kitchen was closing. Atmosphere is very pleasant inside and out, would be back 😀 for another serving of the chicken wings they are so GOOD.
thank you BAD APPLE BAR a good night had by six old friends.
Cosy ambience, great to catch-up for a drink or two. The food is pretty good too. We've been frequenting our neighbourhood pub for the last 5 years and still enjoy doing back. Definitely recommend.
Great looking place. Sure it was a some kind of peach beer I had. It was so nice and I really don't drink. Didn't try the food but the smells were amazing. Worth another visit.
Looooove those fried chicken. So much I will attempt making this at home. Pizzas fabulous too.
We love the Chicken Wings!! Best we ever had. The staff are very friendly and always remember us. Very welcoming 😊
