This is my new best place for lunch, takeaway dinners. Friendly staff, clean loo and lots of lovely places to sit both inside and out. The food was scrumptious quick lunch of cheese tostie and pot of tea ( this had a pot of hot water to adjust the tea), risotto and linguini as dinner takeaway. Yum price was reusable. Must try will not be disappointed. PS the vanilla slice is to die for. đ„°đđ

This place is buzzing with good energy and it is a great place to find yourself in to eat and relax.
My mum and our friends have been going to this hidden little gem for a long time an it is a favourite; here itâs all about authentic food.
You will find them behind Seclunaâs with access via the rear car park with ample spots available.
Their healthy and generous breakfast and lunch options are broad and and we always find ourselves trying to make a decision amongst a breakdown of two to three dishes.
Nice problem to have because put simply:
âits honest food done wellâ.
Two dishes we recommend are the Asparagus Risotto (when in season) and their gluten free salmon pancakes (ref attached pic). Divine.
Accomodating and relaxed environment to dine in or for a coffee, breakfast and lunch and they happily cater for most dietary requirements.
The open kitchen creates a wonderful honest atmosphere and it only takes one glance at the chefs to know they are serious about their craft; and with good reason. Their food is incredible.
I wish there were more places like this around.

Good coffee, great food - tasty creative attractive dishes. Friendly staff albeit service was quite slow with ~20 customers, the food was worth the 40min wait. The atmosphere is fairly casual but fairly noisy, with hard finishes all around - if they added some folding doors along the front they could open the whole café up to the lovely secluded landscaped laneway - could be awesome.

Best steak sandwich in the southeast! Pretty good pasta too, and great coffee. Service is always excellent and super friendly. Everything I've had there has been of good quality.

Amazing food, always get the brekky roll when I go. raspberry and white chocolate muffins are very good and also the lemon tart is a favourite! The sandwiches are also amazing. Staff are very friendly and the service is quick 10/10
Absolute gem. Tucked away behind the mentioned shops this cafe does a good trade. The fresh gourmet sandwiches are quality. Chicken, avocado, mayo and crispy bacon on dark rye was my choice. The chicken melt also looked the goods. Coffee also hit the spot. Ill be back to try the breaky menu!
Went for a mid week lunch, it's a lovely setting with indoor and outdoor dinning. The staff were very nice and polite. The Chicken Gourmet sandwich was definitely Truly scrumptious, at $10 I thought it was reasonable as it was a huge sandwich and all ingredients were fresh and good quality. The menu looked great and I can't wait to go back to try their breakfast.
Gnocchi me up. This place has wonderful gnocchi. If for nothing else, go for this.
Great little find.. My good friends have just moved into the area and we have started to explore the food options. Came here due to the high ratings and wasn't disappointed. Would have to say the lasagne I ordered was the nicest lasagne I've ever eaten out.

Boisterous, noisy little cafe with lots of seating, indoors and out. Was there for breakfast. Even though the place was packed, service was prompt and the food was lovely. Would definitely go bxck.

I work locally near by this place and was recommended to check them out by some fellow work colleagues. I was not disappointed! Super welcoming and friendly staff. Very relaxed vibe. I ordered a BLT and it was fresh and very tasty! I look forward to returning again when I have more time to try other bigger items on the menu! Great place in the heart of Mentone :)

Amazing customer service and food, every time I visit I am greeted by kind people and great coffee. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to sit down and have breakfast or lunch.
Lockdown has meant takeaways only...sadly, as this is another of Mentone's gems. For now, head here for good coffee and a quick chat with the friendly staff. If you are hungry, purchase as many of their muffins as you can - both savoury & sweet - before my wife and I get to them.
When lockdown ends (?) check it out for breakfast or lunch or brunch.
The new owners are doing a good job since they took over, did renovatings which are very nice they have got a take away coffee window now which everyone needs. I had the lasagne which is bloody good, but everything on the menu is very good as l been a mentone resident for many years until my parents died, but my husband and l still go travelling back from aspendale every now and then for appointments.
Nice food. I had egg Bacon roll and it was very tasty.
The Bacon was crispy.
I had apple carrot and ginger fresh juice and it was very fresh and delicious.
Definitely I will be going there again next time we go to Melbourne.
