Another Thai place we tried that's local. This thai place definitely delivered for us. We are now regulars here the staff are lovely and courteous and don't hesitate to inform us when there is a wait. The Spicy Thai Fried Rice being one of our faves.
It's a long story how we purposefully stumbled on Thai Village, and let me tell you, it's worth the 20-30 minute drive each time to get there.
The food is always on point. Service can be a bit spotty, but good overall. Like many places, they do tend to do a lot of take out and that sometimes takes priority over paying guests in the restaurant (one of my biggest pet peeves), but ... again ... the food is worth it.
No matter what I order, they always get it right (and I do make a few substitutions). It's always hot and delicious and comforting. Their Tom Kha Gai soup is incredible. Sooooo good. I love their Chicken Fried Rice and the Chicken Massaman is really flavourful. BUT ... I could lay a bet down, that their Coconut Rice is the BEST in Melbourne. It's beyond delicious. I swear, I could just eat a bowl of that and nothing else and I'd be happy having it as my meal ;-)
Thai Village is in a semi busy street (big supermarket across the road that brings in extra traffic), but parking isn't too bad. Also, their pricing is very reasonable. Thai Village is a casual restaurant and one of the nicest Thai restaurants I've been to. Definitely in my Top 3 in Melbourne. Give it a go!
What a great find this local restaurant is really nice, tucked away in Mentone we almost missed it. Good Food which was full of flavour, my only complaint the Jasmine Rice was not quite hot enough and was a bit gluggy apart from that could not fault this lovely Thai restaurant, we will definately be going again to this one.
Found this place on zomato and booked online. Had spring rolls, curry puff, Thai cake, prawn for entree. Small start but not too bad. Mains were shared and we had the pepper beef with oyster & dark soy sauce & vegetables. Delicious! We also had the pepper calamari and vegetables along with jasmine rice and garlic roti. Also vegetable stir fry. All very nice. Dessert was coconut ice cream and black coconut rice with ice cream. Service was friendly and overall very cheap at only $113 for 4 people.
The food from here is authentic and delicious! We had the Thai Green curry and the satay chicken with some roti bread! We devoured it and would certainly come back again! Service was great to! Thanks Thai Village!
Thai Village Restaurant has been a Great place, great service, great food, great price. Highly recommend giving them a try. Grea for families and friends.
Love this place. Unassuming, very reasonable prices and seriously good food.
For entree we shared a serve of Golden Cups. I had the Crispy Crab for a main course. This has got to be the best soft shell crab in Melbourne!
Love this place. Service great. Food seriously good. Tonight's Golden Cups entree and Crispy Crab main could not have been better.
So lucky to have restaurants like this in Melbourne.
I love it here. Great quality authentic thai food. The green chicken curry is a winner and the prawn crackers with the dipping sauce are a must!!! Great hidden gem in the mentone area and prices are good.
Anything me and my husband have tried have been beyond great! Best fried rice we have ever had. Khao pad gapow. Crispy crab is really good too. Try anything on their menu without any hesitation
Came here christmas eve. was very tasty food, and the lady owner had a good sense of humour and tolerated us quite well.

Delicious, fresh authentic Thai food! Highly recommend :)
Solid Suburban Thai. I've been here about 5 times and each time the food has been good. This is very much a standard suburban, reasonably priced, Thai restaurant, and expectations should be set with this in mind. The menu covers all the usual favorites and my partner struggles to move past the nice nutty style Pad Ngar. It has good sized servings, with fresh ingredients (which are gratefully not overcooked) and not polished; but efficient service. As locals we don't hesitate wandering up when we don't feel like cooking and BYO is a plus. Would I drive a distance to get here? Probably not, as it's comparable to many suburban Thai places, but it's a good solid local for a cheap lazy night.
Great local place. I regularly have dinner here. The food is good, the staff are friendly and accommodating and it has a great atmosphere. it gets very busy on weekends so i would recommend booking. i read some of the other reviews and was disappointed with how critical some people were, it's not a 5 star restaurant in the city, it's a local place that provides good meals at very good prices and as a regular diner i have never had a problem with the service.
Good food. We go here now and then. Never fails to please. Service can be a bit so-so. But the food is very good.
Great little place. Just moved to Mentone and glad to find a good value cheap eat. Entree of prawns served individually in spoons with a Thai sauce was a winner. We will now be regulars. S
The best Thai food I have had in Victoria. Lovely peaceful atmosphere, great sized servings, well mannered staff and neatly packaged takeaway.
Been there a few times. Food & service has always been excellent. Menu is very reasonably priced. The wine is the cheapest priced I have seen too. You will not be disappointed.
Great food. We have eaten several times now and the experience has been consistently good tasty food .pleasant atmosphere, and very friendly service .Our favourites are green curry beef(beef is always tender)We always order golden cup and garden prawns for entree because, just only one place has golden cup,so!!!! YUM ,and garden prawns the dressing salad very nice. The price are good value for this quality.I give 10/10 .for sure we will be back and not go to any where.
