Located right on the beach. Eat in or take away to eat on the beach. Lovely and friendly service. It’s worth visiting just for the decor. You have never seen so many memorabilia in one place. And most importantly pizzas are delicious.

I love Joe’s, it has been in Mentone for years. My dad came here after school when he was a kid. Our family still goes here. The service is friendly. The pizza is yum and not greasy or too cheesy so you don’t feel like you’ve had a bad meal after eating here it’s fresh and yum! Haven’t had pasta because the pizza is too good to pass up on!
Pretty good pizza, the base is pretty good, crust is kind of flat, not in a bad way, it just doesn't rise up a lot. Pizzas are not oily either unlike a lot of suburban pizza shops where it's a complete oily fest.
Good family place, staff are friendly and welcoming.
Homemade pasta and an experience for dinner. Memorabilia on every inch of the walls. A perfect place for a warm winter dinner. My favourite is the "al tonno" tuna and tomato sauce with homemade fettucine.

Always drive past this place along beach road and wanted to give it a shot.
We came here for a late Sunday night dinner and were happily surprised that the venue not only had a small take-away style entrance but a large dinning area.
The dinning area is a throwback to family style diner with memeorobillia and collectibles hung up on the walls and ceiling. It's a very homely-family orientated style restaurant and although the place is a bit cluttered and does have a little bit of a strange smell but it's quickly taken over by the smell of the pasta and pizza in the air.
We ordered a large napollene pizza and seafood marinara on fettuccine to share with a side of chips. We were given a complimentary garlic pizza as we're waiting which was a very nice touch on a quiet Sunday night.
The pasta was nice, although it was not the style of fettuccine we were expecting, it was still cooked well and the seafood was nice. The pizza was also quite nice on a thin crust base which was cooked quite well. The chips were disappointing, no salt or flavour and they seemed to be the oven style packet of chips you can buy from the grocery store so that was a miss.
The service here was very good, as the waiter and waitress who served us were helpful all night as well as the owner who was very cheerful and talkative and who helped us with a pizza box to take home the left overs.
Joe's is fantastic, i live about 40 mins away and will drive up and back on a friday night to get a few family pizza's to bring home, i wish they were open for business more often, i haven't found a better pizza in Melbourne. Friendly, efficient, delicious, you've provided us with great memories and great food, thankyou!!!!
What a bayside gem! We were greeted warmly and exchanged banter with the owner. I suspect it may have been his elderly father behind the till. So straight away you know you're amongst family. Homemade pasta with an array of sauces. Pizzas. Seafood. Sides. Desserts. Drinks. Ambiance. Friendly prompt service. Joe's had it All. Nothing was a problem when it came to catering for our coeliac daughter. We don't live around here and travelled 30 minutes especially for the Joe's experience. Mentone locals can count themselves lucky to have Joe's.
Love it here. Cute little family restraunt. So old school and love the atmosphere pizzas are great and pasta is all home made. The family who own and run it are lovley and make you feel as if ur in their home and have been invited over for dinner.
Great food and wonderful atmosphere. Authentic home style Italian cuisine like "mamma" used to make. I had the prawn linguine which was delicious and my partner had a large pizza with the lot. My five year old son who eats neither pasta or pizza was especially accomodated for with his favourite "crumbed chicken" . We were all happy! Now that we have found this little "gem" on beach road we will definitely be regulars.
Great home made food, just like I remember as a kid.
Not a big menu, they have clearly stuck to what they do best. Pizza and pasta. I'm looking forward to going back and making this a regular.

Fantastic night. Would like to pass on very big word of thanks to all at Joes of Mentone. We recently had my mothers 80th birthday there and the night was fabulous. The staff were more than accommodating. We had a mix of pasta and picas on the night to share between a table of 10 and all dishes were superb. The pizza was lovely great base a good toppings and the home made pasta was just to die for, particularly the carbonara. The staff attended to all our needs well without being overbearing, which allowed us to celebrate in a relaxed manner. There was no feeling of being rushed. So thanks to all again. We will be back for other functions.

Best Italian in Bayside. Joes has the most lovely staff and relaxed service. The waitress' always make us feel welcome and are up for a chat. Angelo and his family are great and make you feel a part of their family. The food is fabulous and it's always a great experience. My friends, family and I love this place and highly recommend! A hidden gem in Mentone.
Great take away pizza. This reminds me of the pizza I ate growing up. thick base with lots of toppings and it was delicious. normally these days we only eat the thin crust minimal topping kind, which I love! so this was a nice reminder of how tasty all thicknesses of pizza can be if made with some love. $17 large shared with my partner and we were very satisfied.

Been coming here forever!. My parents have been coming here for as long as they've been married. Real home made italian at its best. The home made pasta is to die for. And the garlic pizza... THE BEST! (and its only garlic and oil) Joe's son and his wife now run it but you will regularly see Joe and his wife working in the kitchen.
We had dinner at Joe's in Mentone last night. The pizza was yummy but I think I was expecting it to be a little more authentic Italian style. The pasta was home made so I thought that was quite unique compared to most restaurants in the same price range however it was lacking a bit of flavour. Garlic pizza was delicious! Overall I would say Joe's is OK.

Joe's is good quality simple Italian pizza and pasta. Nothing fancy but really delicious classics. Good for the family or a casual dinner with friends. The American pizza is a must.
So TASTY!. I would have to say this was the nicest spaghetti bolognese I've ever had out. In fact thinking about it now I'm craving it. Myself and all my friends enjoyed our meal here and the service. We will be coming back soon and often.
Just like mumma makes!. Family owned, friendly restaurant. We regularly come to Joe's when we want a nice home cooked pasta meal. The pasta is always fresh and the sauces tasty! It's BYO too so that's a bonus. The owner is lovely and will always stop by our table for a chat. A must try if you are in the area.
I have driven past this place a million times and finally decided to have dinner there. This is your good ole fashion local family restaurant with great food, wonderful ambiance and cosy atmosphere. The staff were super friendly. Pizza and calamari was good. We saw the schnitzel when we were paying and it looked amazing, so will try that and a pasta next time. Thanks for having us.
Amazing service and amazing food! Not often do I go here, but when I do I find it nice to sit with family and friends and comment about a lot of the decorations! The vibe in here is lovely! Definitely coming back here again!
