Review La Porchetta - Mentone

Have had lunch, dinner and stacks of takeaway pizzas here and been happy with the standard. I'm not expecting fine dining so I have no reason to complain. What I like about this La Porchetta includes the ease of getting a seat (booked or walk in), the quality of the pizzas, the reasonable prices and the availability of entree size mains for those not blessed with giant stomachs. I recommend it for simple fare in a kid/family friendly environment.

Very very average restaurant. Was hoping it had changed from years ago when we last ate there but sadly, no. Do not order the Porterhouse steak. Was over cooked and super tough. Chips were barely warm too. Ambiance? None. Like eating in a tired old warehouse. And why the F do they insist on keeping their front door open??? It was freezing in there. Super unpleasant experience, but my son said his pizza was OK.

3 home delivered meals orders from these guys and 3 times a food item missing. Doesn’t happen anywhere else. We called them up each time to send over the remainder of the order. In fairness the 1st time it was driven over but the last 2 times it’s a case of too bad so sad. Couldn’t care less. Business must be booming!

Horrible disgusting. Barely warm and doe tasted like stale bread. So much tomato sauce base you couldn’t taste anything which didn’t matter because there really wasn’t much topping. Pizza soup with cheese. Waste of time and money, never again. One star was a push. Just awful.

Great food, great service. A special mention to Carl who is very attentive. Keep up the great work. 😉

Was craving pasta and La Porchetta Mentone fixed that craving. Both of our dishes came out in a good time frame and the servings were well and they tasted fantastic with some elftover for lunch the next day Thanks for your service.

Vegetables were undercooked, sauce was very watery. Pasta was overcooked and soggy. The quality has declined unfortunately. Probably wont have it again.

Possibly the worst pasta we’ve ever eaten- pasta overcooked, too much salt in one of them and lack of flavor in the other. For the price, would expect a lot more.
