Absolutely great location. The food was fantastic, a lot good options, can't go wrong. We had a lovely a breakfast here. It was cosy and there's outdoor and indoor seating. Would definitely go again if in Merimbula again!

Great service - everyone was so lovely. Dog friendly as lots of seating outside. Menu had lots of options: chilli scrambled eggs on croissant was fabulous. My mother ordered eggs and then added on extras. She loved the baked beans.

The food was great and came very quickly once we ordered, but only after being handed menus and having to wait 20 minutes to order. That was after calling someone over only to be told that they weren't a waitress but they would get someone. 2 minutes later, they were back saying they couldn't get anyone and they would do it themselves. Food great (thanks chefs!), staff great (thanks!), management? A bit of a miss from you today.

Fantastic Mothers day breakfast board. Beautifully presented. This is a busy waterfront cafe with a great Sunday vibe. Staff were friendly and the food was great and most importantly great coffee too.

Breakfast 15/12/21 Lovely staff and best bacon in years! Great view only problem was the seagulls trying to steal our food, we had the prime position table.

We had breakfast here with our 2 kids and it was perfect. Good coffee, excellent and prompt service, combined with some great food.

Everything was great:) Food, drinks , friendly service and the view . There are walking path and play ground in front of the cafe. You can go for walk before or after the lunch . Baby/kids and dog friendly , highly recommended 😊

There’s a secret which the proprietors of this place very likely don’t know: On any given weekend lunch shift when the weather on the South Coast is nice, maybe half a dozen tables are occupied by groups of customers who arrived as airborne day trippers from Wollongong, Sydney or sometimes Melbourne in single engine light airplanes. Merimbula Airport is only 20 mins walk from the centre of town. The flight from Sydney takes about an hour and a half — quicker than a drive to Katoomba. When we get there, the Waterfront Cafe is a reliably-open lunch stop with great food, good hospitality, and a pleasant setting overlooking the Harbour. The menu has plenty of cuisine options, catering for vegetarian and gluten free diners as well as people who want seafood or something from the paddock. The drinks list is well assembled (but the pilots will settle for a Coke or a coffee, thanks) It’s all well prepared and served with a holiday smile. Which is one of the reasons we keep coming back. Tip: On busy weekends, arrive a bit early. It’s better to find a nice sunny table at 11:50am and chat until you’re ready to order lunch than it is to show up at 12 and have to wait.
