We ordered the pork belly & seared scallops, lamb shoulder and chicken skewers, they were all surprisingly good. The restaurant was extremely busy on a Tuesday night, we had to wait for half an hour in the bar area before we got a table, it's strongly recommended to book a table. The drinks were really cheap 🙂

The food at the bistro at the RSL was amazing and very delicious. The gnocchi was very good and the service by staff exceptional. I will definitely come back in the future.

We came at 8pm, just as they announced that the kitchen was closing. We got in just in time, and hurriedly ordered the fish of the day, mornay Oysters, roast and veggies. We were honestly so surprised by how delicious it all was. Everything was cooked perfectly. The staff were super friendly, and very attentive. I love this place! All up, we spent about $70. Great experience

The meal was really big portions, we had chicken wings and pad thai and they were amazing. Good atmosphere and nice staffs, and the drinks and meals was reasonable price!

Great local RSL club serving great food. We had the prawn and mussel paella, (beef) roast of the day, creamy garlic prawns, kids chicken parmigiana and kids pasta Bolognese. The food seriously took 5 minutes to all come out - unbelievable speed and friendly service! Will definitely come here again when we are in Merimbula!

We were very impressed by this RSL. The food was great and the staff were friendly. It was possible to get wine in half or quartered bottles. Excellent value but be prepared for generous portions. Suggest you fast for 24 hours before your visit.

We found the staff to be very courteous and efficient, The Paella was very nice and my wife had the seafood crepe which she loved. The Garlic and herb pumpkin loaf for entree was very fresh and tasty. The only little fault was the loaf was served the same time as our mains which really wasn’t an issue. All in all a fantastic meal, I’ll be back!!

Lunch just started, so wasn't a busy venue at the time. Found out that my meal was forgotten (4patrons). In my hospitality training, this is a big no no. Hope that this comes across constructive for future business and please be honest when you genuinely forget rather than make up a weak excuse.

Very impressed with our dinner at Merimbula RSL.<br/>All the food was delicious, the staff were warm and attentive and the place was clean with a really nice ambiance.<br/>Could not fault anything

Food here is fabulous !! Caters for all and has lots of dishes to pick from. Reasonably priced and great service. My favourite dish is the oyster mornay. The mussel and calamari in white wine sauce was delicious also.

Great parma, atmosphere and staff. Wish the chips and salad were plated seperately. Burger could use some sauce however salsa and extra sauce were provided seperately for the chips. Overall great food, will return for sure.

3.5<br/>Most club restaurants are fairly restricted in their range of dishes and more importantly their ability to produce good quality and good value meals.<br/>Not so the Coral Sea Restaurant at Merimbula RSL.<br/>A fairly busy place most evenings however greeting and seating is very efficient.<br/>An extensive menu incorporating most popular dishes one would expect at a club and then there are pages of Thai and Chinese dishes that would keep you busy getting through.<br/>Oysters are good.<br/>Last visit I had the Lamb Rump which was magnificent. The Specials never seem to change.<br/>Serves are very generous in size and presented professionally and quite promptly.

I went there with my Dad for Dinner on Monday night and I had the Chicken Parmigiana and Chips and a Raspberry Lemonade to drink. My Dad had the Roast Lamb with Gravy and Vegetables with a glass of Shiraz. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent.

We had dinner here on Valentines day. It was fully packed. Ordered chicken parma, RSL steak and fried rice. food quality were not that good, dry chicken, burnt steak and dry fried rice. But huge serving size and friendly service could make us give it a try one more time.

Standard pub fare, with nice asian options, but the service is a little hit and miss... some super friendly staff but also some really grumpy and impatient staff who couldn’t care any less for customer service.

So easy to see why my mum the new found local kept carrying on about needing a reservation !!! The place was packed, food was yummy and the options are endless and I seriously mean endless!!! The venue looked amazing after undergoing a renovation and the staff were extremely friendly and efficient... fast food out to table and free child minding! I cannot see a downside to coming here. We had Parmas the Cobb loaf, Thai prawn salad and fried rice for bubba!! Will return every time!!! Thank you RSL!!!

Really like eating here, service is great and food is tasty, big portions and fresh. Had calamari which was fresh and home made (not packet style stuff as you come to expect from such venues!) Parmigiana's are huge! And delicious after a day of active water activities. View is also amazing:) Highly recommend for pub style tucker in the area!

HEALTHY OPTIONS - This place is good if you need to modify the menu to suit your eating requirements. Fish was great and had a side of veg which was a little on the crunchy side but I'd prefer crunchy to dead on my plate! Very Australia vibe but clean, live music, quick service and friendly staff.

A great family night out, good variety, my banana curry with prawns was delicious, as was my husbands steak, kids enjoyed their meals (pizza, pasta and calamari, all of which came with a fandangle ice cream for $10), kids also enjoyed the kids club.

A huge menu, Australian, Chinese and Thai menus. I had the sweet and sour chicken which was really lovely with a side of fried rice which was awful. It had weird meat in it that had a revoking taste to it. Hubby had the Thai banana and chicken curry that he is still raving about a week later. Would go back again but would steer clear of the Chinese fried rice.

I am not much of a RSL fan i think most could do with an update. However Merimbula RSL was a large entertaining venue with decent food! Get in early as its a mad rush kinda place. The menu is varied including tradition pub grub, Thai and Aussie-Chinese food. The food comes out quick and if your like me you will be going for a second serve of the wonton soup! If your in the area give it a go!

Very average. Soup was overpowered with capsicum. Seafood rice dish tasted like parsley. Food overall not tasty. Staff obviously didn't like being there. One actually rolled her eyes at me! More like a school canteen.

Disappointing. More like a cafeteria than a restaurant. Most of the meals seem pre-prepared. Our food arrived at our table prior to me getting back from the bar with our drinks (& I didn't have to wait at the bar. ). Food was just average. We were in & out in 45 minutes, which included queuing up for a table, ordering, getting drinks, eating & getting ice creams for the kids. <br/><br/>We came here because it seemed to be rated highly here and is very popular with the locals & tourists. They are obviously targeting cheap meals and getting as many people as possible in and out.

Okay so i wouldn't normally eat out at an RSL club restaurant. I don't think I'm a snob but i like my food and for whatever reason look beyond these sort of venues. So, let me tell you this RSL was an exception to any stereotype i had in mind. The seafood crepe is to die for, it comes with chips & salad which i virtually didn't touch the class is in the crepe something I wouldn't normally eat but it got a wrap on Zomato - amen. My wife had the gnocchi one of her favorites and she's a harsh judge - she loved it and rated it highly. The menu is incredibly extensive with Thai & Chinese options but for me I feel we nailed it. It's hard to imagine this was a one off look forward to hearing if anyone else feels the same way.<br/>

Great food, fast service, and very helpful, courteous staff. Had the Oysters Kilpatrick for a starter and they were to die for, so fresh and cleaned well. Portions of mains are very generous also, and our chicken was well cooked, not dry at all. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience!

Our grilled fish and roast beef were over cooked, the fish and salad covered in dressing while the beef and vegetables looked very tired. Large noisy lounge. Staff friendly.

The menu is diverse with Australian favourites as well as a Thai style menu. The RSL was very busy for a Thursday night but turned meals out quickly. Family friendly venue with lovely views over the fish pens and beyond. Enjoyed a tasty steak, and the flathead fillets were flavoursome.

Amazing and Amazing<br/>Service was amazing, couldn't believe how quick our meals came out.<br/>The food was even better my dad is a hard man to please and he loved his satay chicken, i tried it and it was delicious. The Chinese food was to die for.<br/>My wife had the salmon and she grovelled it down.<br/>If you're in the area this is a must stop for families, couples or anybody that wants an amazing experience with amazing food.<br/>This is my first review and felt compelled to write this as it was that good<br/>Pleasantly shocked and amazed

1hr for meals to arrive, basically told we're busy, however we ordered before all the tables around us and they had all finished before ours arrived. The manager came over but nothing was done. No drink, discount or anything done. Won't be back

When we first arrived at Merimbula at our first visit, we thought to have a simple meal and get back to our accommodation after a long 7 hours drive from Melbourne, but the dinner at RSLMerimbula turned out to be a very delicious well presented meal and it is money too. We then went back for the second time on our last night before our departure the next morning back to Melbourne. The chef named Sam is a great Asian cook. The seafood was fresh and cook to perfection. Highly recommended.

Great food and really good service. We have just had roast lamb and pizza there. I can say that we are very happy with everything!

Quick and Easy. Cant go wrong with the old RSL, dined there a few times over the holidays and was pleased. Good menu selection and fast service.

January 2013. Merimbula RSL has again proven there is no reason to waste time eating anywhere else in Merimbula. Every Christmas holiday's we head straight to the RSL and are constantly amazed at the quality of the food under Executive Chef Derek Philistin. Upon entering you are greeted by friendly staff as you sign in and are quickly seated. Meals are prompt and the addition of the excellent Chinese menu is a bonus which can also be ordered as take away. The kids minding room is staffed by friendly people allowing you to relax for a while after your dinner. Coffee and cakes are luscious and incredibly cheap if you can fit them in. You won't find any better food on the South Coast!!

Good value and good quality food. I had the seafood crepe that had fresh fish, scallops, prawns and calamari n a cream sauce. It was excellent and up there with the best seafood restaraunts.

We shared the crusted calamari and coconut scallops as an entrée. The squid was tender with a crispy coating, the scallops also well cooked, although I didn't notice the coconut, the asian style salad worked well.
