Fishpen Takeaway - Merimbula - Photo album

Best fish in chips for a few towns... Great sized servings, GF option with grilled fish - flat head battered fish was delicious and of course a perfect amount of chicken salt. The tartare sauce was also a 5/5 ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ
Seriously the best flake and potato cake Iโ€™ve had in years. Very light but crispy batter that I havenโ€™t had before. Fish was fresh and light and plenty of it. No feeling of of post fish and chips too oily blues. Itโ€™s better battered fish that a lot of decent restaurants serve
Really enjoyed our fish and chips. The fish batter was crispy and not oily and the fish was moist. Chips where enjoyable. We also had dim sims and potato cakes which where both fine although much prefer homemade potato cakes. Service was very fast as they where very busy
Good value meal, fish nicely battered, calamari & prawn cutlet well crumbled. All protein went down well, nicely cooked and moist. Chips very yellow and not crunchy for my taste.
Hamburgers were amazing. Salads were fresh, bread was lovely. The bloke burger was huge with so much in it, great value. And the chicken schnitzel burger in Turkish bread was one of the tastiest burgers Ive ever had. Congratulations Fish Pen takeaway. (we heard your radio ad, so had to try you when
GO HERE FOR YOUR FISH AND CHIPS! Seriously. Best quality fish and chips that I have had between Batemans Bay and the Victorian Border. Generous serving sizes and fair prices as well. Worth the drive as opposed to other options in towns nearby.
I so enjoyed the energetic service that I received from the man behind the counter. Extremely friendly and easy going. I enjoyed the food enough, but it certainly wasn't my favourite. I took my meal to the beach nearby instead of sitting at the venue as it is not the most happening place. Paid $1.50
Resonablly priced and lots to choose from. My fish was a little dry (just ordered the fish n chips) but wasnt too bad. Could have been a different fish as i see they mention locally caught.
