Great breakfast spot
My husband and I had a wonderful breakfast here with a very good coffee. The food came out very quickly, was delicious and beautifully presented. We were very impressed with the baguette which had a good thick crust and chewy centre! No wonder it's so popular!!
Have not visited the café but used to live in the house over 40 years ago and it is lovely to see it is still there and being put to good use. Every good wish for ongoing success.
This restaurant was near the street, so I decided to try it for my breakfast. The ambiance was soothing and the service was friendly. The croissant was great, and I also tried the millefeuille cake since I was curious and it was tasty.
Love the concept of this open & airy cafe being pet friendly, they even have doggy ice cream & a lovely lawn on which they can play. Such a shame we didn't have pooch with us on this trip! My coffee was ordered with a double shot, had a bit of a sweet flavor to it, nicely presented by the caring staff & plenty of vegetarian options if dining in.
Lovely after Mother’s Day lunch on a beautiful day .. my focaccia was ok the croque de madame just a basic serve where Mum had the cheese thing which was lovely and plentiful. The Hawaiian drink a refreshing touch and the availability to bring my pooch and added bonus
Another great dog friendly café on the GC! We popped by Le Café Gourmand to try their dog friendly ice cream made by Hugo's Ice Creamery. We figured we may as well order some human lunch too and we were pleasantly surprised their baguettes. Fantastic service and a great little spot, easily accessible with lots of street parking. Very family friendly as well with lots of great menu choices available all day.
First visit. Good place with a French twist. Friendly, straightforward service. Infused water offered on arrival. Properly made French-style omelette. Liked the coffee, liked the setting (kids and dogs will too). Lots of locals in-and-out. Lived up to positive reviews (ignore the occasional gripe). Going back!
Food was great, coffee was great, staff are lovely - pretty hard to beat :-) and they can make a proper long black which is always a good sign!
The best baguettes and croissants on the Gold Coast. Seriously. Simple and tasty food. Friendly service. Hard to get a pram up the steps but worth the haul!
Been looking for a real French croissant & a French couples recommended this place.surely not dissapointed. It was buttery soft inside & crunchy on the outside. .love love it. I also had their petit fours...oh my heaven..as i have a weakness for sweet dessert. Overall enjoyed every bite & calories 😄. Great coffee great service. Merci
Hello from a regular! We've been coming here since opening and this lil gem has been consistently serving up deliciousness on a plate ever since. My stomach (and wallet) thank you. So refreshing. I would give you my first born for one last cocotte in a pot. 😆
Great breakfast menu. Coffee was of a good standard. Pastries and bread was up to french standards. Dinner option looks interesting with BYO wine as an option
Yum yum yum! A great menu with different flavour combinations. It is always good to see something different to the norm for breakfast. The flavours were good and the quality was really fresh. Their macaroons are amazing too, they come with the coffee and we ended up buying a bag of them as well!
Brilliant. Absolutely loved it. Had the omelette and a croissant, best I've had in Australia
Skip the macaroons. Food 8/10
Coffee 7/10
Service 8/10
Value 7/10
Food was good but the Macaroons a big letdown
Wow what a find. Delicious. Great service. Can not say enough. Outstanding
To sum it up, the place is simply Just right, we had croissants, chocolate croissants, campagnard+complet sandwiches and brownie and it's just everything you expect the food to be: simply Good food. Highly recommend the place, lovely staff too :)
Lovely fresh French!. This place is just the place to go for a Crossaint or a lovely baguette sandwich. We were lucky enough to enjoy the delights plated up here on a daily basis. It isn't french in feel but definitely through its food. Good work!
Very good coffee Lovely bri.... Very good coffee
Lovely bright and open place to sit and enjoy the breeze.
Haven't tried the food yet but looks great

French at a French cafe ... and they are not spitting at the staff. Good sign indeed. The pear tart and croasaint with a good side of black coffee worth my time wearing a strippy mime shirt.
There’s no mistaking the French touch. The food is delicious, embellished with the classical techniques of a French chef. All bread, croissants and terrines are made in house by Rémi, who plans to extend the menu and opening times even further.
A lovely casual, cozy cafe with indoor and outdoor dining areas. The staff were very friendly and the food typically French, small portions and beautifully presented. Limited but adequate wine list for a café. I would definitely go again. 4.5 ⭐️
Enjoyed a very nice baguette with ham and cheese today at this café. This place is a bit out of the way, but is very popular. Even though the streets have been very quiet, the café was almost full. Says a lot about its quality and staff.
Coffee was great. And the Classic Baguette even better. Yum.
And the staff was attentive and pleasant.
Also, a good location, just off the highway, and with enough afternoon sunshine to warm up this tired body .
Lovely little French cafe with good service and tasty food….the Croque Madam and Tasmanian Croissant were excellent and the coffee was nice
Absolutely 💯 perfect the food was superb and the service was amazing I will definitely make this my new place to go congratulations just keep doing what your all doing 😀 😊
We attended a private dinner here and it was the best! Food was amazing what a great chef.
Had a fantastic Mother's Day breakfast at Le Cafe Gourmand. The food was so fresh and delicious, atmosphere was so relaxed and comfortable and the service was exceptional.
So often I have found dining out on special holiday's is cramped, rushed and generally unpleasant. Not at Le Cafe Gourmand. It was of course busy but it did not feel busy and the staff who were also busy had plenty of time to happily chat and interact with us and our daughter. You would never have known it was a busy public holiday.
Highly recommend and can't wait to return to try more of this yummy fresh French food!
Had a fabulous dinner at Le Cafe Gourmand on Fri night. It is a set menu for their dinners, which are usually only on Fridays, so we knew what each course would be, and it did not disappoint. We were part of a large group, and everyone was impressed. The food and service were faultless, and it is incredible value. It was a great night and we will all book again.
