This place is one of those gems that are rare on the Gold Coast. This Small eatery which to be honest has nothing to look at when U walk in, had some amazing looking dishes coming out of the Kitchen.
Lets face it you don't eat fancy lightbulbs or plush surroundings. When you are hungry you want something tasty. We were not let down.
We checked in, were greeted with a lovely big smile and welcoming tones by I think what must of been the owner, ordered off a fairly large menu with lots of choices and sat down. In no time my curry puffs and crispy chicken soup were in front of me . Just delectable. I can wait to go back and try the other things on that menu.
I highly recommend this place. It is not expensive and the food is great!

Saigon 101 is a handy little Vietnamese cafe serving great food and comes with friendly service from the owners. Our regular favourite ! Be sure to try the Special beef noodle soup and summer rolls, delicious !

Last time we were in Mermaid Waters, they were closed, but last week when we stayed there again, Saigon 101 was open. The little restaurant’s interior is very basic and it has some seating outside. But the owner makes up for it with her friendliness and of course the food. Everything we had was delicious, the portions a good size and reasonable priced. My friend would have liked it a bit spicier, but I liked it. Next time we are on the Gold Coast, we will definitely go back
