Popped in today (19th Oct 2017) on our way from Gippsland Vic... driving through to Bunker Bay for a wedding. We stopped at your gorgeous little shop and experienced one of the best coffee's ever... and a cute take away cup that it came in. I had a bacon and egg toasty (delicious) and hubby had the spinach quiche. We were blown away by the the food was handed to us once warmed up.. in a gorgeous little brown bag and hubby was super impressed with the way the quiche was served with knife and fork and salad. I loved all the goodies and gift ware and the beautiful colours of the furniture. I needed to pop out to the ladies room .. i don't i think i have ever experienced a bathroon facility quite as lovely as this. I absolutely commend the owner and staff of this adorable little cafe you just wouldn't expect to find in a little town across WA. Spectacular. Thank you.

We dropped in at 8pm for a feed after finding the pub had been closed permanently. We had just travelled 900km from Cocklebiddy at the end of our caravan odyssey to the east coast. Tracy and her staff could do enough for us - as the Cafe is BYO she offered to drive me back to our caravan to get some beers to have with our meal. And then the coup de grâce - my Cream of Pumpkin soup entrée and Chicken Parmigiana Main were to die for!! Thanks Tracy to you and your staff for your hospitality.

Had breakfast here. Vast menu, includes gluten free, vegetarian, nut, paleo etc. Beautiful food, good coffee( almost impossible to find in country towns!), great service. A must stop on your travels for work or play! Browsing in their gift shop while waiting for your order is very nice too! Will definitely be back!thanks

This is a true gem of the Eastern Wheatbelt! Servers are always smiling. Service is always great. Menu changes regularly to keep things fresh and new, but if you've been a regular you can always order "off menu" to revisit some of your favourites. Since 2014 Café 56 has been my preferred eatery in Merredin. Keep up the excellent work Tracey et al.

Just grabbed a takeaway hommus and halloumi salad for lunch and oh my gosh it was amazing! Everything was fresh and well cooked, the flavours were beautiful. The cafe itself is light, bright and welcoming. The staff were lovely. As Lizzie McGuire would say, this is what dreams are made of. 10/10 recommend.

We dropped in here for a late lunch at about 2:10pm without realising that it was just after closing time. The staff were extremely helpful and they prepared us a fabulous burger and pumkin soup. The coffee was also wonderful. Great food staff and service in nice surroundings right in the middle of Merredin.

Good smoothie latte, smart and cute way to have milkshake. So lovely and friendly staffs. The Turkish bread was so great, crunchy and fragrance.

Visited on two occasions, dinner and breakfast. Salt and pepper squid for dinner (great but lacking a decent dressing), and poached eggs on smashed avo with Turkish bread (bloody good and a great start to the day. Dishes are reasonably priced, 15-20 per dish and staff are very friendly.

The only coffee shop in Merredin open when you actually want to have coffee. They open early morning and are also open during weekends. Staff are nice as well.
