Love La Mono! I think each establishment is solid and consistent, no complaints here.
Amazing variations of Lebanese food, mixed up well with typical Aussie hangout culture! Truly a hidden wonder of Merrylands area... We ordered Monomix Barbecue palate comprising of Shish Kafta, Shish Tawook, Shish Kebab, served with Tabouli, Hommous, Garlic Dip, Vine Leaves, Sumbusik, Pickles & Lebanese Bread. It was greatly appreciated in a perfect afternoon date by my husband and me. The main course was followed by a yummy cup of exotic Mochachino and yummilacious Tiramisu cake.. The desert is surely a must try at La Mono...
✔️ Whenever we dine in big groups there usually is something that always goes wrong. However, we were impressed with our experience yesterday. All our food (which was a lot) came out within 15 minutes and we were impressed with the serving sizes. Their charcoal chicken is really good, way up there with El Jannah. The fattoush bowl is served in a fried bread bowl which was amazing. Oh and the hot chips are to die for. In regards to service, it was honestly incredible. The waiters were so attentive and polite with everything we asked for. One of the young waiters (I didn’t get his name) was so friendly and adorable, he kept coming up to check on us, and even gave us a few really nice compliments which was so cute 😂
❌ Most of the food was beautiful but the tabouli was saltless and the dips weren’t good, especially the hommus which was unauthentic. Also, the fruit cocktail we ordered at the end was a let down as they only had avocado but it’s supposed to be blended with other fruits (I know it sounds weird but trust me, you have to try one, there are surprises at the bottom)

Their charcoal chicken is definitely a juicy one, no other place tops La Mono. Their BBQ selections are tasty and their garlic sauce is by far the best that I've had compared to many other places. They are quite generous in their portions. If you want a tasty, value for money banquet service, definitely come to La Mono.
I have tried their chicken twice and it has been very good. The chicken is smoky, seasoned well and juicy. Breast can be a bit dry but it's not bad. Love their garlic sauce, very pungent and creamy. Chips were perfect and crispy and bread is good.
Their cauliflower is very yummy, a bit oily so share it with friends!
However, one down side was that the waitress was confusing us and confusing herself the whole time when she's taking our order, and we ended up with an extra side of chips and an extra serving of garlic sauce (that we didn't finish so we took it home).
La Mono is my go-to charcoal chicken place mainly because of its convenience of being quite close to me. While I can only see very minute differences between its competitors El Jannah and Hawa, I find that their chicken and chips are tastier and also have very cheap takeaway alternatives for the lazy nights. Excellent customer service, staff are always very nice and the food always comes out quickly!
Visited La Mono in March 2017 for the first time. Went there for Saturday lunch and ordered several dishes including marinated chicken and mini mono. All were great! Meat was tender and flavourful. I especially loved the 'crispy bowl' as pictured. Reminded me of deep fried wonton from Chinese Restaurant :)
Great customer service and food came out pretty quickly.
I love how this restaurant is a couple of streets away from me. Although El Jannah is my fave charcoal chicken place, La Mono is something special. They have great takeaway packs you can share with the family including perfectly seasoned chips (chicken salt helloooo), garlic sauce and tabouli. For those that are vegan/vegetarian, they also do a mean veggie platter. Comes with falafel, hummus, tabouli and more - it's amazing! (And super filling)
I've eaten at the restaurant a couple of times and it's a very chill environment. Family friendly and the staff are very approachable. A hidden gem in Merrylands and a restaurant I'll never stop eating at!
Amazing Lebanese food! My partner and I have tried many Lebanese restaurants around Sydney, but this one tops it off !! Great atmosphere, great service and even better food. Thank you la mono, I'll be back soon!
Great service and the food came out fast. It's a little more expensive compared to other charcoal chicken but very enjoyable. I got the half chicken with tabouli and hummus and it filled me pretty quickly. It's a better alternative to el jannahs if you're after something less saltier.
Beautiful food that is all I can say you must try it...the chicken is juicy the salad are awesome and the sandwiches are unbelievable LA MONO is a wonderful place to eat and eat only.... theres no entertainment or anything like that. presentation is awesome.

Delicious mixed plate at La Mono, with tabouli, pickles, kafta, chicken, lamb, baba ganoush, pickles, and fries. Traditional Lebanese flavours. A must to visit #foodbloggeraustralia
My go to place for charcoal chicken. Their chicken is more tender, juicy and flavoursom compared to other places. Staff is always friendly whenever i order takeaway or dine in!
I've been here a few times now and find the chicken to be more juicier than El Jannah (not that there is anything wrong with El Jannah). The garlic sauce is also not too full on. The usual order would consist of the chicken & chips which comes with pickles & garlic sauce, fattoush & fried cauliflower (if we are feeling extra hungry). The times I have come here it hasn't been busy, but normally find it takes a while to be served which I find strange every time. Once we are served the food doesn't take long to come out. If only there was chicken like this closer to the city.
Have been to la mono a couple times. It's always nice but never mind blowing like el Jannah or Hawa, however it is great chicken and amazing garlic sauce. Service is always a little off and other food off menu is good too.
La Mono is packed full of the locals on the weekend who love their chicken.La Mono is located among the suburbia of Merrylands. As you enter La Mono, it looks like a take away chicken shop but when you peer further in, there are white table cloth tables and other plastic tables in an outside seating area. There was a plastic rose inside a jar which changed the tune of the local chicken shop.

L A ☆ M O N O This is the only place in Merrylands to get your charcoal chicken and garlic sauce fix. Their chicken surely do have more meat on them then other places! ✌ @foodiesguidetosydney
They are situated on a lovely corner in Hilltop and parking is very easy. Customer service is ok and the dishes are lovely. I like the idea that they use Lilydale chicken. I highly recommend a mixed platter. They close late so its the perfect place post gym.
Definitely one of the popular go to Lebanese restaurants! Friends got the charcoal chicken, and mine was the biggest "vegetarian palate" honestly could feed 2 people rather than one even though it was a post gym meal haha.
This place has REALLY really tasty charcoal chicken. I prefer the chicken here to El Jannah. I do enjoy both places but the chicken at El Jannah is drier and a bit too salty for my liking. The chicken at La Mono is nicer and more succulent. I recall a sign outside their restaurant saying their chicken is free-range or something.
One of my favourite places to grab charcoal chicken in Sydney!
Nice food good value , love the free range they have
Great area to sit and have coffee and deserts after a dinner
Better then other chicken shops in the area
I think it's confirmed, when it comes to chicken and kebab skewers lebs do it best. La mono food quality is like eating at El Phoenician, u can't fault it. The chicken is flavoursome, well cooked but not dry. It's casual here yet clean bright and roomy, atmosphere is relaxed and wins browny points for having a nice buzz of family and friends at other tables. Easy to park.
I think the chicken used here are free range which is probably why the meat is so succulent and tender. It really was a joy to eat, and the skin had just enough charcoal flavour to it
Consistency. Excellency. YUMMMYYYY. I've been going here a few times a month, for the past year.
EVERY-time I go, the food is consistent. The chicken is of excellent quality, the garlic sauce is perfect, the Tabouli is perfectly balanced and fresh. And their friends are amazing.
Every-time I go, the service is consistent. The staff are always pleasant and efficient. I have yet to wait more than 10 minutes for ALL my food (very, very impressed with this)
After visiting the other major charcoal chicken places in Sydney's west (Jasmine's, El-Jannah, etc), I can confidently say that La Mono in Merrylands absolutely trumps in every way.
Great food. Fantastic food. Very busy restaurant so be prepared to wait at times. Better than the renowned El Jannah in Granville. Owner can come across a little abrupt at times but has the best Lebanese restaurant around..
Yummy Charcoal Chicken + Chips!. Delicious Charcoal chicken and chips as well as wonderful service.
Tasty. My best friend lives up the road from this place and she got me onto it.
Reasonable prices for a tasty "grill" plate with meat dips, breads, pickles, salad - all of which is yuuuuuummmmmmy!
Looks like a little take away cafe, neat and cheerful - cant fault it. Super friendly and attentive staff, they always remember us!
Honest good food. The food at La Mono is good, honest lebanses food. The grill plates are big enough to share one between two and the flavours are excellent.
This place is the shiz! Best chicken, pickles, garlic dip and chips! Prices are fantastic also. Weekly visits are a must other wise the cravings set in!
This place has the best takeaway chicken in Sydney. Actually the eat in is great as well
Really delicious chicken - you can definitely taste that it is free range, and it is definitely not dry but just a little bit on the smaller side for a whole chicken. Similarly the garlic that comes with it could’ve been a bit bigger for a whole chicken, we had to order a larger size. The chips and burgers were also delicious. We had a friendly waiter assist us too, which made the experience all the more.
Delicious food in a super relaxed and casual environment. The two skewer platter is great. You can get two skewers of the minced beef, cubed chicken or lamb. All skewers are cooked over coals which gives everything a great smoked flavour. The platter comes with dips and bread as well, so it's worth the $28. They have an ATM inside this store, but they take card payments too. Open late and they take bookings.
Lebanese food done to perfection. Large servings, fresh food and fair pricing. May not look the goods from the outside but let me tell you the food they dish up is to die for.
Quality Charcoal Chicken at a reasonable price! Very quick service and turn around time. Can get very busy during peak periods however staff are always friendly and accommodating. Top quality choice for both locals and visitors to the area.

The place is amazing, the most important thing that it's clean, the staff are amazing. They are like one family, they are fast, they don't take too long. My order only took like 10min to come, the staff they all know me and there greeting is amazing everytime I go the restaurant and very helpful. I highly recommend that place
Dined at the Merrylands site, service and food was quick and good. Chicken skewers and burger was worth it and cooked very nicely, chicken was nice and juicy unlike some other charcoal chicken places. You get a lot for what you pay for.
