Loving the pop up take away store front at Tacco and Tosca. Rich nutty long blacks, perfect chai lattes with beautiful fresh baked bread and home made pastas. The gluten free pasta is wonderful, gnocchi to die for and lasagna tray a little beauty.The best part though, the people, warm friendly and genuinely caring. Support your local business and grab a gelato while your at it

Very nice atmosphere and great selection of Italian cuisine. Perfect for small family catch ups or dinner with friends. Quiet location. The outdoor area is very nice and reminds me much of an Italian osteria or taverna. Friendly staff!

Real authentic Italian pizza, gelato etc and if l you want to practice your Italian this is a great place to come (of course they speak perfect English but are more than happy to converse in Italian if you wish) They have good covid safe measures in place too! Very friendly and great food, a lithe taste of Italy.

Absolutely the best Italian food I've had in Melbourne and I've been to alot including just having returned from Italy. The food is authentic, delicious and the service is outstanding can't wait to come back.

Have been to this wonderful restaurant with a lot of different friends & they all love it. On Saturday we had a work lunch for over 40 people & what Donato & Bruna did for us was amazing. Thankyou again for making it a special day, with your very attentive staff By the way the food is always the best.

Last week I dined at this newly opened restaurant. The Chef is Pugliese but also loves Tuscan cuisine.They make the best pizza I've ever eaten in Melbourne - thin and crispy. The Puccia is also well worth trying! Friendly staff and a great atmosphere, definitely not to be missed! Well done indeed, I'll surely go back in the near future.

Absolutely loved the food, each meal we had was delicious! The atmosphere was amazing, sitting out in the courtyard on a beautiful Melbourne night. The staff were all wonderful, great service. What a great way to end the F1 Grand Prix weekend. Can't wait to visit again with the rest of the family!

Awsome ambience. Warm and friendly staff including a little family member who takes on the role as matre d beautifully. The food is the cherry on top. Traditional yet modern and absolutely clean and refreshing. All in all an excellent restaurant and an awsome experience

We came upon this restaurant by chance and we're so lucky. It was friendly and relaxed with the best pasta I have ever had by a mile. If you happen to be around Middle Park you would be mad not to go there.

The food is Amazing! Everything fresh and delicious!

So delicious, best Italian meal we have had in a long time. So much to choose from will have to go back many times to try all that seems amazing on the menu. And then there’s the pizzas and calzones which looked incredible. Staff so friendly. What a great night.

This restaurant has been on our list for a very long time, and, it was a pleasant surprise when our friends chose this one for our meet-up<br/><br/>They are regulars here and thus, we requested them to choose for all of us.<br/><br/>Tagliere Affettati E Formaggi Misti (Platter of Cold Cuts served with Cheese and fried dough balls), Pizzas, Mussels, Gelatos, Sorbet and Coffee Creams..And of course, wine and Aperol<br/><br/>Mussels were easily the dish of the day. Perfectly cooked mussels in garlic and parsley tasted yum.<br/><br/>All the desserts which included Coffee Cream, Mango Sorbet, Chocolate Gelato and Vanilla Gelato were the #Dessert of the day.<br/><br/>Cold cuts of meat were perfectly finely cut and went well with the fried bread and cheese but lacked something. Same was the case with Pizzas. Handmade and fire baked, Pizzas lacked in flavors.<br/><br/>Service is quite quick and amiable. Hosts and Hostesses take good care of their patrons.<br/><br/>This is a fine dinning sans the privacy as all the tables are placed quite close to each other.<br/><br/>In our opinion tad a bit expensive compared to the overall okayish experience.

A lovely quaint restaurant with the traditional Italian setting - the courtyard and the old house gates.<br/>we swede greeted by every staff member on arrival, including the chefs. They’re all super kind and attentive. The food is lovely. The antipasto selection could have been more broad however we had the tricolour salad to share as an entree. Very simple, but tasty. <br/>For mains we had a pasta each. I had the gluten free gnocchi with lobster, cherry tomatoes and chilli. It was really tasty and I was happy with my choice. The pasta was beautifully cooked. The sauce wasn’t heavy at all.<br/>I will come back for sure!

Really disappointed with our recent experience at Tacco & Tosca. We originally visited a few months ago and were seated at the back after making a Zomato booking. This time around we called to make a booking and were seated front of house ( probably bec we didn't make a booking through the app). We were not given the specials, overcharged for a side salad at double the price. Service left a lot to be desired. Expect to be treated differently depending on where you are seated. Not good enough. Will not be back.

Great casual place for great Italian fare. I had the pappardelle and some crazy pizza he made up for me, that tasted amazing. we also had the pipping hot small bread made in house with prosciutto and a cream cheese (amazing). Some local Italian wine and all was good.<br/>Turnaround time was reasonable , if it's busy don't expect to be fed in 15 mins.

Had the most awful meal with the family. Very overrated and overpriced. Pizza's came out burnt. Do not recommend. When bought to the attention of the staff we were met with total disregard.

Have eaten in a couple times and the food was solid if not standard fare, good Italian food for the whole family, might avoid it for a roamntic night.<br/>Pizzas are superb, but you pay for the privelage.<br/><br/>Not sure about some of the staff though, recently experienced a young waiter who in thinking my card was a tap and go decided to help himself to an $8 tip (rounded up from $102 to $110), when I told him that that feature didnt work on my credit card he was all too willing to do the swiping for me, upon swiping myself I saw the gratuity, DODGY!! His reaction was one of guilt not apology. <br/>Do this to the wrong person and they may get more than just a bad Zomato review.

I'm always impressed when we go to this cosy little local spot. I recommend the mushroom pizza and also the antipasti. Really authentic. Will be back soon :)

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful meal with friends at Tacco & Tosca - easily the best Italian in the Middle Park area.<br/><br/>The food was great, but the service was truly wonderful. Very accomodating to families with children - colouring books, coloured pencils and offers to hold babies while parents ate (an offer that was accepted at other tables).<br/><br/>We began with a Margarita Pizza - above average (4) and enjoyed by all.<br/><br/>We enjoyed the Burrata E Pinzimonio (4) and Friselle, Pomodoei E Bufala (4) as antipasti - they were even better when the Burrata with olive oil and aged balsamic was combined with the Friselle (a different take on bruschetta). Combined together it was the best thing I ate that evening and rated a solid 5.<br/><br/>We ordered Orecchiette Pasta with Bolognese Sauce for my daughter, but it was served with Napoli Sauce. She still enjoyed it, as did we (3.5).<br/><br/>The Gnudi - large homemade gnocchi of spinach and ricotta, served with burned butter sauce, sage and grana cheese - was rich and delicious (4.5) even though it didn't look or taste like we expected it to.<br/><br/>The Pappardelle Alla Chiantigiani was the only dish that fell short of expectations (3). The pasta itself was good, as was the diced brisket, but it didn't come together as well as their other dishes.<br/><br/>Overall, a very enjoyable meal and a solid recommendation - especially for families.<br/>

Every suburb needs its own Italian eatery and for Middle Park this is Tacco and Tosca.  Situated just off the main stretch, Tacco and Tosca serves up more than the usual Italian suspects - from Gnocchi All'aragosta (gnocchi with lobster in Napoli sauce, diced fresh tomatoes, garlic and chilli) to "La Puccia" (a traditional pizza pocket), the menu is extensive but delicious.

Previously Villagio didn't realise it had reopened under new management & new name. Tried the home made papadelle pasta with rage - my only criticism was it was a little dry would've loved a little more sauce. In saying that it was delicious, meAt was tender & pasta was perfectly cooked. Will be back to try the pizza's 👍

My friends, as well as my wife and I enjoyed a lovely night at Tacco e Tosca. Thank you Donato e Bruna. The food was superb. I don't think I have tasted T-bone steak to equal it. The service was also great. Thank you. It is great to have Tacco e Tosca as our 'local'.

The service is fantastic, too, love that all the waiters speak Italian as well - totally adds to the charm of the place! I could rave about this place for ages - it is 100% my favourite Italian restaurant in Melbourne. So much love for you guys - you are going an amazing job!!!

Ordered gluten free take away and only 1 of the 2 pizzas was gluten free, glad we realised before our 2 celiac friends ate, disappointing

I have been a Middle Park resident since 1983 and I like to support local businesses.  I ate dinner at Tacco & Tosca on 27 Dec 15. The atmosphere was great, food delicious, wine superior and the staff were friendly & attentive. Sophia was particularly efficient & helpful. Thanks everyone for a nice evening.
